Comfort Inn Modesto

I stay here frequently probably 4-5 days a month. I have worked for hotels previously as well and I get having to be strict with policy's but the front desk girl with glasses is the absolute worst. She has a seriously personal issue with me and it's very apparent. First time i stayed here: I go into I was told the reservation was not paid for in advance like Choice said. So I try to pay with my debit card and they only take cards with chips. So it's over 100 degrees so I'm a little annoyed by having to run around. But I get back and she proceeds to tell me ”you can just leave if you don't like rules” and ”I can cancel your reservation” I told her no and it wasn't a problem I was just exhausted and frustrated with being told two different things. Second stay: We booked for a total of 10 days I believe. Stay wasn't a issue until the day before check out. I'm at work same woman calls and says we aren't extending anyone past 5 days anymore and we need to get our stuff by 11am it was 10:15 or so. So I have to rush back and remove our stuff. I still manage to keep my composure. Third stay: I was checking out after 2 days and I wasn't aware I got some make up on one of their towels. I was checking out around 7am I went down and with most places if you leave a cash deposit they check your room. So she goes does that and takes about 15 mins but again I'm trying to be patient. She comes down with the towel in her hand opens it in front of guests and says ”what's this” I said my apologies I didn't even realize I had gotten the towel dirty as I always being my own. But she then charges me $25 and I still say no problem (rules are rules” Fourth and Final stay I book 2 days. I check in and was told by the nice front desk woman (Asian and great at her job) that hotel policy had changed and they aren't doing cash anymore. But since I stay here often this time wont be an issue but to remember for next time. No problem I say. Choice had made two separate reservations for each day so I could get my free night since I use them almost every weekend. So Saturday morning at 10:30am I proceed to front desk to pay for the second night. The girl with glasses is there so I am prepared and smiling. She then tells me that she isn't taking cash so I explain to her what the woman told me the night before. She said she is wrong it was only for the stay on Saturday not Sunday and she will give me until noon to leave. I then had hit my limit with her condescending, power trip, snarky attitude. I said let me make a call. I call choice and they are very apologetic and book me elsewhere for a free night. I go down to check out and could barely speak I was so furious. I keep everything to one word answers. I said ”checkin out” she smiles and says ”so would you like for me to cancel your reservation” I said ”yes” I give her my ID she does her usual 15 min room check. She then tells me to have a great day in a tone that would boil anyone's blood. I refuse to let this wo
Baymont by Wyndham Modesto Salida

The towels were very rough and hard and made we want to use my own clothes to dry off. The parking lots were dirty, had trash and oil puddles all over them and the hotel is in a shady area right next to a train that kept me up all night and shook the room as it passed and honked. The walls are so thin I could hear my neighbor conversing very clearly and the people above me were stomping around upstairs. The water pressure in the shower is very poor and feels like a trickle down my back, I went through all the water settings and they didn't help at all.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Springhill Suites. The reception staff are the best we have encountered during our 6 week road trip. Suite super clean and spacious with comfortable bed and quality linnens. We enjoyed relaxed breakfast. Had a fabulous Mexican meal at Damiens a few miniutes walk away. Days Inn by Wyndham Modesto

I booked a room today, Thursday, (for the upcoming weekend). I booked online on the Wyndham Website, put my credit card in and have a confirmation email. Now I booked a room with 2 beds, which is important to the rest of the story. Several hours later the property called and said they have no rooms with 2 beds available and would be cancelling my reservation. They offered nothing in return for the inconvenience including not offering to help with finding another hotel. They didn't offer a King with a roller bed or pullout couch. They didn't offer to help with finding another property nearby, even after I asked. When I asked if they were willing to help us in any way, the person who called said, ”I did my job. You will have to call Wyndham Customer Service.” I did. And it doesn't get any better. Wyndham Customer Service first had an issue figuring out the date of the reservation even though they pulled it up with the confirmation number. Their response to our reservation being cancelled by the property was to tell me that they would let the property manager or owner know. They already know. They are the ones who cancelled the reservation. Wyndham Customer Service said that I should hear from that property within the next week. Not clear how that helps with anything. They explained that each property is independently owned. They offered no help. Wyndham Customer Service told me I need to call reservations to find a new property. They didn't even offer to transfer me. When I asked why they have a central Customer Service phone number if they cannot help, they explained again that each property is individually owned and that they have a process they must follow. Wyndham's website has a big banner ”BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE” across the home screen. They did not instill any confidence with this experience. Wyndham needs a better process. The property cancelled my reservation without offering any help or compensation at all. Wyndham Customer Service offered no help or compensation at all. Not even 500 points or a drink coupon. Nothing. And to top it off Wyndham Customer Service hung up on me at the end when I said that their process is just that, their process. Their properties being owned independently is also their process. I'm not sure how I'm responsible for either of those things. If you are operating under a unified brand, you need to set and have some standards to keep that brand alive, not hide behind the processes you created to explain to customers why you cannot help them. Why would I ever book with this hotel or with any Wyndham property again?
Quality Inn Modesto near Salida
3.1/55 Reviews
The service of the quality hotel is not bad. Although it is a domestic standard, the hotels in the United States are basically clean and the service is very enthusiastic. However, the facilities of this hotel are relatively old, and the feeling of blocking the water and the water is very common. It took three rooms to change to a fairly satisfactory room.
Motel 6 Modesto, CA

This was the most disgusting motel I've ever seen. It was so smelly and dirty it was worse than an exaggerated bad motel room in a movie. We had to change rooms twice to get one that had working room lights and a bed that wasn't falling apart. The one they gave us at the end only had a second working light besides the bathroom. The shower curtains had the stench of mildew. It was unbelievable how strong the cigarette rank was literally fuming from the walls and floor. $86.00 for THAT in Modesto? We had no choice because it was so late from driving. If it had been even 2 hours earlier, we would have left that dump faster than you can blink. We were Not looking for fancy because I've been in perfectly good Motel 6 , this was seriously below health code. This place is Vile.
