I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. Check-in was fast, and I appreciated the free Wi-Fi and amenities provided. The location is convenient — close to restaurants, transportation, and tourist spots.

The inn was so worth the money, it’s close the the bus stops, near the beach, the room is so clean and nice and the staff were so friendly and lovely!! And our thanks to Alicia, who gave us her outstanding service and hospitality :)
I booked for two nights but then I extended the stay because of the newer facilities compared with others.I in the USA, even 4 abd 5 star hotels like fairmont and best western also have noise insulation problem because of use of wood in construction, so I brought ear plugs to sleep well. Haha
I stayed here to go to Dodger Stadium, and it was great that it was within walking distance!
The only complaint I had was that the water pressure in the shower was weak.
You had to hand in your room card to the front desk every day (I'm not sure why).
The bus leaves right in front of the hotel, so you can take it if you're going somewhere nearby.
There are no supermarkets or convenience stores nearby, so it's best to buy food and bring it with you.
Great inexpensive place. If you need to sleep for the night it is perfect. If you are looking to lounge by a pool with your kids, keep looking because this is not for you. They have nice televisions in the room, and access to the shower and bathroom n the hall. Coffee by reception area.
Very date but relatively clean. The back is extremely noisy (immediate proximity to the motorway). Balls that are mandatory if you want to sleep. Not always very well frequented but well illuminated at the back of the building what satisfaction.
If you have the choice, prefer the vagabond Inn south, much more pleasant.
Under the high-speed bridge, the surrounding environment is a bit deserted and desolate, the room is a bit noisy, the facilities are good, the staff is more complicated, most of them are the surrounding construction workers and Indian Asan, playing music outside the door, chatting, etc., some noisy and a little scared, after all, still worried about safety, I chatted with them a few words, I feel relatively simple, I feel relieved, breakfast is the same hotel, it is not bad, parking is convenient.
Ideally located in Santa Barbara, great value for money and lovely ownership. A good motel overall, not hotel quality but you get what you pay for and we were happy for the night.
The transportation location is good. There is a subway station (China town) nearby. Eating is also convenient. There are several Hong Kong-style and Vietnamese restaurants. Unfortunately, breakfast is not provided. Fortunately, there is a seafood restaurant across the road that provides tea in the morning, which can solve the breakfast problem.

I recently stayed at morel 6 and was thoroughly impressed! The **location couldn’t be better**—just minutes away from Hollywood attractions like the Walk of Fame, TCL Chinese Theatre. Whether you’re here for sightseeing or entertainment, everything is easily accessible. A major plus was how **clean and well-maintained** the rooms and common areas were. Housekeeping did an outstanding job. Another highlight? **Easy access to public transportation** (metro and buses), making it a breeze to explore LA without needing a car. Whether you’re in town for business or leisure, this hotel offers convenience, comfort, and value.
I drove in from Las Vegas to meet family the next day at Disneyland and I just needed a place to sleep for the night. I had read reviews saying the Star Inn was simple, clean and comfortable, and seeing that it was only about 20 miutes from Disneyland, I reserved a room with a single queen bed. At about five, I called the Star Inn to say I was going to be a late arrival and was told that would not be a problem, as they have someone at check-in 24/7. I checked in about 10pm and found the desk clerk pleasant and efficient. She asked if I preferred a ground floor or 2nd floor room; I opted for something on the ground floor because I had bags to carry in. The room was not at all fancy, but it was extremely clean throughout, the bed was comfortable with crisp linens, and there was a small microwave and refrigerator in the room as well as the wall mounted TV. There was a small dresser and a table with two chairs at which you could work. The A/C and heat worked fine. The hotel was easy to get to; it was close to the freeway and right off Newport Blvd. I found the room to be quiet and easy in which to sleep. At checkout the next morning I met another staff person who was friendly and efficient. CONS: My room did not have a closet or hooks on which to put hangered clothes, so I had to improvise, hanging them from a door handle. The furnishings were not ”designer new” but were serviceable and clean. PROS: My room was extremely clean, check-in was easy, the staff was friendly, efficient and accommodating. The bed was comfortable and clean. The one night stay was about $70 (11/29/25) which was a third less than other hotels/motels I had checked out. WOULD I STAY AGAIN? Yes. If I needed a room for one or two nights I would definitely stay at the Star Inn again.
GGuest UserThe Anaheim Convention and Exhibition Center is very close and can be walked. Disney/or the location is very good for meetings. For other requirements of the motel, don’t have too high expectations😄
Environment: Opposite is the Pacific Ocean, and you can listen to the huge waves crashing against the rocks at night Health: For a motel, I am very satisfied. Facilities: There is a swimming pool and a hot pool, which is good for taking a dip at night
GGuest UserThe building is average looking with friendly manager. I had apartment 201 which was an upstairs unit. The white bedspread had stains on it, that looked like fecal stains from someone sitting on the white spread. The sheets were fine. The carpeting looked like it had not been shampooed in years. The sleeping area has two ceiling lights that were not working. Not so sure that the TV remote was working, but was able to work the TV using the on and off buttons. There were no light switches near the bed so I had to get out of bed to turn on and off the ceiling lights. The baseboards were very dirty and dusty. Spots on the walls. The headboard needed to be dusted. The bathroom had decent water pressure and sufficient hot water. The walls near the toilet and sink counter were full of spots. Spider webs on the side of the toilet walls. Ceiling exhaust fan was not working, and one light in the bathroom was out. Towels were clean but put on he racks not completely dry. In general I would say that the cleaning staff probably touches the obvious areas but does not pay attention to details. Even the lightswitch covers had a layer of dust on the top of the cover. I have pictures, but not going to spend anymore time on this review. Just want to warn future customers looking at this location.
Certainly is bare bones, but one of my favorite places to stay when going out at night in the city. Since I live in San Jose, I don’t want to uber back and forth and staying here for $60 is perfect. It is super clean and the owners are very kind.
From the moment we arrived at the Masterpiece Hotel, we knew we were in for a treat. Our room boasted a stunning view, and it was the perfect backdrop for relaxing after a day of exploring Morro Bay. The customer support was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff always willing to go the extra mile. Speaking of treats, the breakfast was a delightful surprise. Fresh pastries, yogurt, fruit, and the amazing make-your-own waffle station had us fueled up and ready to take on the day. The waffles were truly a highlight - fluffy, crispy, and customizable with an array of toppings. It was a fun and delicious way to start the morning. Beyond the view, breakfast, and customer service, the overall experience at the Masterpiece Hotel was awesome. The room was clean and comfortable, the public spaces were inviting, and the location was perfect for walking to restaurants, shops, and the beach. We truly felt we were staying in a masterpiece itself! If you're looking for a beautiful and comfortable place to stay in Morro Bay, look no further than the Masterpiece Hotel. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return!
