GGuest UserAwesome stay at the best hotel in Mindo. Thanks to Marco and team for the superb service, always quick to respond to any enquiry on WhatsApp even before I arrive. He also arranged a driver to pick me to/from Quito, who came in a 4 door 4wd but despite limited English, was really nice and drives safely. Location is convenient as they can always call for a taxi which arrives in minutes and going to town is $3. Birdwatching-wise was good in the hotel, I saw 20 species in 2 days with 2 toucan species, bronze winged parrot and crested guan particularly memorable for me but hummingbirds are few. The room balcony is very productive but the upstairs main lounge has different variety of birds.
I stayed in the luxury cabin which is on a more secluded and slightly higher area than the deluxe cabin. Generally very quiet except for odd moments where loud music can be heard for a couple of songs in day time and also for some reason at around 9pm the dogs bark for 5-10 mins.
But overall, very relaxed and restful stay and definitely recommended to stay here. The saddest part was not staying longer.

Absolutely Outstanding Stay at Hotel Villa Lafayette!
My stay at Hotel Villa Lafayette was nothing short of exceptional. It’s by far the cleanest hotel in all of Ecuador—absolutely spotless in every corner. The entire property is beautifully maintained, quiet, and filled with elegant touches that make it feel both luxurious and welcoming.
The staff were outstanding—warm, attentive, and truly professional. They offered excellent local recommendations and always treated me with kindness and care.
The location is ideal—tucked in a peaceful part of La Mariscal, just a short walk from Plaza Foch and some of Quito’s best restaurants and shops. My room was quiet, stylish, and very comfortable, with a serene garden view that made me feel instantly relaxed.
Breakfast each morning was fresh, generous, and thoughtfully prepared. The entire experience felt safe, polished, and perfectly cared for.
If you’re looking for elegance, cleanliness, and world-class service, Hotel Villa Lafayette is simply the best choice in Ecuador. I would return in a heartbeat!

GGuest UserThe service and care I received from Old town suites Quito is the best that I ever received for all the hotels I have stayed. My flight arrived at Quito in the early morning around 6:40am, I got to the hotel around 7:40am, hotel front desk employee Francisco took my luggages, provided me power cord to charge my phone, and even gave me a delicious breakfast. I felt I have been welcomed into my new home in Quito.
The hotel provided milk, yogurt, bread, juice, cheese, eggs, ham, vegetables and fruits for making breakfast yourself or you can tell them ahead of time and they can prepare breakfast for you. I have had amazing experience in this hotel.
The hotel location is great and you can walk to old town attractions. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Quito.

KKJ SEOWI stayed at ibis Hotel Quito for a three nights and really enjoyed my time there. The hotel is clean, modern, and in a super convenient location — close to restaurants, shops, and easy access to main attractions around the city.
The staff were all really friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions or give local tips. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed — comfy bed, good Wi-Fi, and hot shower (which I really appreciated after a long day out!).
Breakfast was tasty with plenty of options, and the coffee was great too. The hotel also felt very safe, which made my stay even more relaxing.
Overall, it was a great experience — simple, comfortable, and excellent value for money. I’d definitely stay here again next time I’m in Quito

The facilities are exceptional. The restaurant is wonderful and has such a variety of delicious food. The health pool has crystal clear water. My room was much larger than what I'm used to over the last five weeks of traveling. It is easy to get the concierge to book excursions. There are airline check-in machines in the foyer. This is easily the best hotel I have stayed in over the past five weeks and comes with my highest recommendation.

JJeremy LeeeeThe facilities at this hotel are somewhat outdated, and the decor feels a bit old-fashioned. It would be great to see some modernization in these areas. That said, the view from the upper floors is fantastic and definitely a highlight of the stay. Additionally, the breakfast was quite good, with a decent variety and tasty options. Overall, the experience was pleasant, but upgrading the facilities and decor would significantly improve the stay.

AAnonymous UserGood customer service. My single occupancy room wasn't huge, but it was big wrought and had a big windows that could open for fresh air. HOT WATER in the sinks and showers (thank heavens!). The wifi was slow, but it worked well enough. The front desk is 24/7. The location is also good with many shops, restaurants, grocery stores, public transport stops, ATMs, and more around. I'd stay here again.
