Really nice hotel with really good restaurant. All staff members were really amazing, and made my stay really enjoyable.  The only thing they need to sort out the loud noise that comes from the air conditioning in the middle of the night that can’t be stopped from the room. It kept me awake for the most part of my night.

Very good hotel and a good option if you're flying from or to Stansted. The rooms are furnished to a very good standard and are extremely clean. The staff are attentive and friendly, and are happy to answer any questions you have. The breakfast is available from 4am which is a bonus and the selection is very extensive. Just make sure to factor in the cost of the shuttle bus (£4 each way) to your travel plans, as, when the costs have been added, there may be cheaper alternatives that don't require taking the paid-for shuttle.

The room is quite big, very clean, all the supplies do not need to bring, the public area of the hotel is very British, there is a large grass at the entrance of the hotel is very beautiful, it is really good to take a walk in the morning, and the campus view of the University of Essex is also very beautiful on the side.

Me and my daughter had a lovely stay. We slept very well, the bed were very comfortable and pillows and the room was lovely and clean and had everything in there we needed. We were both very happy.  Swimming pool was lovely just needs modernising and floors cleaned as were dirty. However, over all very pleased and love to stay again.

Lovely hotel in nice grounds. Friendly reception. Decent room (we stayed in the Sartorial rooms) which was spacious. Good breakfast in the main restaurant although continental was a bit limited. Ate in the evenings at the cafe rather than main restaurant and food was good. Also lovely staff. 

Our room was spotless , a comfy bed and a good shower , the pool+ hot room area were really good, but for reference there are 3 (members only) aqua aerobics classes a week which use the whole pool , and whose participants’warm up’ prior to the class -so it’s very busy to the class , there are a great selection of (pre bootable )classes , treatments and a well equipped  gym (all obviously open to  members ) , the meal options are delicious, and the staff are charming

Fabulous location, if you need the airport. But, you have to bus/cab/drive into Southend/Rayleigh/wherever if not wanting the airport. 15min walk to various eateries, if you don't want to eat in the hotel, like Toby Carvery, Hungry Horse, African, fish and chips. Majority of staff seen were happy and chatty, nice to see. 5* breakfast, would definitely recommend as had lots of choice. Room was clean, included bed, desk, chair, armchair, safe, kettle, iron, toiletries, bath&shower.

Was a really nice hotel very quiet and very clean! Staff for check in were really friendly and the place was cheap too! The rooms are very big with a lot of space, balcony area was good to relax on too with good views of the city center

Checking in was easy and the man was so nice. Room was ideal, requested a runway view and that definitely ticked that box. Breakfast had plenty of options, cold salad, ham and cheese, hot scrambled egg, bacon, sausages (standard and vegetarian), hash browns, beans, cereals, seeds, yogurt, a couple Danishes and then there was 'make your own' waffles (just like in the States)

Hotel was clean, food was good. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, both hot and cold food. Beds were comfortable. Staff could of been friendlier
