Really well located and convenient parking nearby. Staff were wonderful, room was large and clean and the breakfast was very nice.

The hotel was a pleasant surprise and very impressive. Both the rooms in the new wing and the old building were very satisfactory – spacious, clean, and offered great value for money. Personally, I preferred the new wing; it felt more comfortable and modern. It's about a ten-minute walk to the old town, and York at night is even more enchanting, especially the hourly chimes of York Minster – absolutely captivating! The hotel is just a stone's throw from York train station. There are many restaurants near the station, including York's largest Chinese supermarket and various Chinese restaurants and a cha chaan teng, which was great for satisfying a craving for Chinese food or stocking up on groceries. The old city walls of York are right next to the hotel, and on a clear day, watching the sunrise or sunset from atop the walls is incredibly relaxing. However, the hotel charges £39 per day for valet parking, which is seriously expensive. They overcharged us once, and despite multiple attempts, they refused to refund it. This definitely merits a bad review!

Very poor service. I couldn't find the reservation after booking a room. I spent a lot of time at the front desk. It used to be a Marriott, but now it's a Delta. The hotel is quite old. There's a racecourse next door. You can see that it's a holiday resort, but the racecourse is suspended in winter.

We had a lovely time at this hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very large, beds very comfy and everywhere clean. There is a good selection of food for breakfast. Enough to suit all needs If you arrive early or stay later after check out, there is a room to store luggage which we found helpful The location is brilliant. Only a couple of minutes away from everything. Would highly recommend My only suggestion would be to have bottled water in the rooms.

Had a lovely stay at the Hampton by Hilton. Everything was fine and the Hotel is in an ideal quiet location just off the main road, near the station and main centre of York. Only disappointment was the lack of evening snacks and deserts. We had to end up having a packet of Jaffa cakes!! Very poor, also no evening Restaurant .

They are all girls who love to be clean. It’s good, the world cannot exist without girls. It’s just that it’s hard to find it when it’s dark. The train was delayed for the first time and I couldn’t find the way late at night. Google Navigation sucked me and went around to the other side. There was also a little fox with green eyes. It was the only one at night. Just the green eyes are dazzling, and the hair on the hair is standing on end. The next day I discovered that the road next to it was a cemetery. It's quite scary. It's easy to find at dawn.

Excellent stay. The hotel is ideally located if arriving by train. We arrived in the morning and were pleasantly surprised that we were able to check in early as our room was ready. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a roomy walk in shower. The only thing that would have improved it would have been some drawer space as it only has hanging space in the wardrobe. All the staff were helpfull and friendly. We had an evening meal and breakfast during our stay and both were excellent. We also made use of the leisure facilties during our stay. Overall would highly recommend and if we visit York again would definitely stay at The Milner.

Due to no fault of the hotel, the road was impassable for car, which meant guests had to walk along the towpath to fain access to the hotel. Older or less mobile guests may need to consider this when booking.

Overnight stay in Harrogate, hotel in a great location within easy walking distance of the town centre for shopping, dining etc. We opted of a king room which was very spacious with a huge bed. Breakfast had a great selection of food to choose from and the full English was excellent. Would definitely stay at this hotel again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We stayed here a few years before and really enjoyed our stayed so booked to come back for our anniversary. We were in the opposite side of the building this time and it was still delightful. We really enjoyed the separation of the bathroom from the bedroom with a little study area. The place was starting to get a little run down however. There was no handle on the toilet, and one of the bathroom lights didn’t work. Toilet roll was paper thin and the lights above the bed were perfect height for hitting your head when getting in and out of bed. Other than that though he we enjoyed our stayed. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the restaurant food was delicious.
