The room is on the top floor, a typical British attic renovation, with a very limited view, but other than that it's OK, especially the service in the restaurant is great. In the morning, because I was in a hurry, the lady in the restaurant helped me prepare some food temporarily, which was great, thank you

This was a one-night stay whilst travelling on business so I was really only looking for a clean room with a comfy bed with a decent breakfast in the morning. This hotel delivered well on all three counts. It is also very conveniently located for the M40 with a McDonald's right next door. I booked for a very reasonable price and much preferred it to some of the Premier Inns that I've stayed in recently.

Nice hotel. Big room. Nice spa, only footbath broken. The building is old and needs a renovation. If something Is broken it's not replaced. The food isn't great. The plate are cold but the food is lukewarm. Starters were nice but pita bread wasn't toasted. Salmon very small, not even fillet and not crunchy. Risotto tasted watery. Desert way too sweet. Breakfast lukewarm too. Ok for the price overall. View from restaurant is amazing though.

Superb hotel in an excellent location - close to the railway station and the key landmarks. Staff were extremely friendly (especially Nadine on the front desk) and our room was spacious, clean and quiet. I’d definitely book this hotel again.

Rooms are very clean, satisfied with the cleaning services they gave. We’re glad that they served a complimentary drinks and some cookies that we enjoyed! Small things but brightens up our mood from too much exhaustion from a day trip and arriving at midnight in the hotel. Thank you for a nice place to stay in!

We booked in and my son and daughter were upgraded as they had just finished their exams. We had the dog and our room was good in the way the door opened into large green area and you could sit outside. It was busy in the eve as there was a prom on and another function and the service was slow in the restaurant. I spoke to the supervisor at reception and explained the issues we had and she could not be more helpful - we were offered drinks and lunch as a sorry which was a great gesture. We would definitely return.

Nice country manor hotel with picturesque grounds. The room was a bit dated in a 1980s way, but clean and in good decorative order. Overall better than a Travelodge at Travelodge prices (biscuits, hot chocolate, bottled water and proper glasses in the room were good.

The setting is super for visiting the sights and the hotel is a beautiful historic building. The modern spa was nice to use but we found the room quite basic and could do with a freshen up and very disappointed that there where no hot drink making facilities in the room. We had the breakfast included in our room cost and we were very disappointed in that - everything was swimming in grease and the black pudding and potato rosti were very over cooked so we could not finish our meal. The car park is £7 per nights stay but were were not made aware of this beforehand. We would probably stay again but would upgrade to a room in the old part of the building and won't have the cooked breakfast.

GGuest UserCouple with dog. For two nights we didn't have hot water. We rang reception an spoke to the duty manager - the second time...He told us it was because there was a coach load of people staying who had all taken a shower/bath at the same time on their return, and we would have to wait until it heated up again. That didn't allow for the lack of pressure - a trickle! In the end we gave up - no shower/bath. However, the duty manager assured us that the manager would find us the next morning.... this never happened, On the Saturday night the same thing happened. The excuse given by the receptionist for the manager not having found us that morning was there was a wedding and all managers were needed - they didn't start their shift until 11am. The duty manager couldn't speak to us as he was working at the wedding - Saturday night - but Leanne assured us that she had noted our complaint and that she had written up notes, and our inconvenience (now not having hot water for two nights of a three night stay) would be reflected in our invoice on checking out. This wasn't the point. The stay was supposed to be a relaxing, super special treat, not able to have a shower or a bath at night was NOT okay! She assured us that on the third night the 'tour' party and 'wedding party' would have left. So we would have hot water. Which we did. On checking out the receptionist had no idea about our complaint, and therefore couldn't help us. We are in the process of writing a compliant, and a review. The staff and hotel did not let you down - the management did! I have a video of the water pressure. On another point, the hotel is described as dog friendly. This might be the case. You can bring your dog for a fee of £25 a night, however, on check in we were told we had to eat in the bar area or outside. Luckily the weather was okay. However, we felt like second class citizens! Not only that but the bar area has no tables at which anyone could eat a meal - the tables are all low and only fit for snacks!

GGuest UserStaff were very professional and friendly. Breakfast was good, though there are meat alternatives for vegetarians if that is important to you. The room itself was quite nice. The problem was the specific room we were given. Room 109 (and I assume many of the other rooms on the first floor) is right above the bar. Both nights we were disrupted by noises. On the Thursday, live music was playing very loudly from 8pm until past 10pm. Being directly above the bar, the music was incredibly disruptive! On Friday, music began at 10pm. I actually called reception at 11:30pm as the music hadn't stopped. They were very apologetic and said they would get the music turned off straight away (which they did), as it should have turned off at 11pm. While I appreciate how quickly the issue was resolved once I complained, it's poor that the hotel allows loud music to play until such a late time. I appreciate it was a Friday night, but I was working the next day, and the noise both nights really disrupted my sleep. The fan/heating unit was also so loud that we could not use it. I had a discount on the room, but I would have been incredibly disappointed if I had paid full price.

YYuanI came to stay as I needed to attend a meeting in the Birmingham Business Park the next day morning. The B&B was on the edge of the Coleshill. It was an okay stay, and just about okay. I won't be against staying there again, but there is nothing special to lure me back either. Plus: James ware expecting me when I arrived and showed me the key and the room. He also took my order for the next morning. The room was of decent size. There are lots of lights in the room. The bed was okay. There is on site parking space. The breakfast was ready when I walked down to the dining room. Minus: At £148 a nigh this was certainly not good value for money. The facility was a bit basic, albeit adequate (tea/coffee/kettle/biscuits and hair dryer). There was one bottle for hair/body wash and there was a small soap in the bathroom. Bathroom is just about of adequate size for one person. The water temperate varied a bit while on show, but workable. Also my room was on 2nd floor, with narrow steep stairs. It was okay for me as I traveled very light. But it would be tricky for someone with big luggage or mobility restraint.

JJulianThis hotel is in a beautiful setting, convenient for Rugby and the M1/M6. The grounds and building are beautiful, although there are signs of neglect. We stayed in a suite in the Stables, it was tired, which I knew from the photos online but our bathroom had hair in the bath and clogged in the plughole. The shower didn't run hot and the toilet flush was poor. Breakfast was mediocre at best, lots of hot food had run out with no-one keeping an eye, we had to ask for items to be brought out. The staff were 50/50 - some very pleasant but some disinterested, one of the receptionists didn't even give us directions to our room properly suite. If some money was spent on improving the rooms and building I would have been happy to pay more, it is a real shame is the potential is immense!

DDawnieIn the countryside in Stratford in a beautiful timber beamed building. The room was dark but spacious. We had the family room with a double and two single. Breakfast was included. No menus but the waiter said any English breakfast combination which was great. I had two poached eggs. The only problem was a lack of communication regarding the usual route to find the hotel being closed due to road works. Navigating a one way system in an unfamiliar town with no email or call to let us know how we were to get to the hotel was extremely stressful and put us 1.5 hours behind the schedule to arrive. This could have been sorted if the hotel had contacted trip.com with the landline provided at booking and explained about road works so I could have been forwarned.
