It was honestly so pretty. The whole place feels like a proper onsen escape, staff were really friendly, and the open-air bath was just… perfect (especially in the cold, with cliff view and snow fall).
Only thing: it’s far from the station... its not possible to walk there, especially in winter. But they make it easy, they have a shuttle to Ashinomaki Onsen Station, and there’s also Bus No. 12 from Aizu-Wakamatsu Station, from the bus stop it’s like a 5 min walk.
Would 100% go again.
Turning right from Fukushima Station, the hotel is just a 3-minute walk away, making its location incredibly convenient. It's perfect for a one-night stopover before moving on to your next city.
With several convenience stores and a wide variety of dining options nearby, it serves as an ideal transit hub, especially for travelers nearing the end of their journey.
The room was quite spacious and very clean, fully equipped with a desk, refrigerator, and TV. The bathroom, complete with a bathtub, was also a good size.
Nearest fukushima station. Face Mask at front desk is excellent. Breakfast is so plenty of food and very delicious. Hotel staff very so nice to customer. Valuable hotel. If I want to go to Fukushima, I will come back to stay this hotel.
The environment is very good, if it is autumn, the red leaves of the hotel courtyard should be very beautiful! The service attitude is very very good 👍 because we arrived an hour early and recommended us to visit the green water park near the hotel! The garden full of cherry blossoms, daffodils and various flowers, very beautiful!
Right in front of koriyama station with built in 7-11.
Room was comfort and very clean.
The coffee drip bags taste better if compared to the other hotels with the same standard.
carpark at the hotel is limited but there are few outdoor carparks surroundings.
not near the city centre; take 10 mins walk to the station
but the room is cosy enough
no heater in the bathroom, but there’s a window.
They offer a free shuttle service to Inawashiro Station, which is a great plus. Everything at the hotel was excellent; both breakfast and dinner were plentiful and delicious. Although the facilities are a bit dated, they seem to be well-maintained. The only downside was that the water temperature in the indoor public bath was too low, and my skin felt itchy after using it.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. The hot spring in the large communal bath was very relaxing, and the hotel also had a variety of facilities, including a foot bath, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Some reviews have left negative comments about the service, but the staff were all very warm and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, and they even provided a welcome drink and yokan (sweet bean paste). I'm truly glad I stayed here. Since the bus doesn't come close, you can call the Aizu Samurai Residence and they will come to pick you up from the bus stop. One thing to note is that when the housekeeping staff laid out our futons, the man in charge knelt down at the end, even though he hadn't done anything wrong. I felt bad for him, and I don't think he needed to knelt down. Thank you. I would definitely stay at this inn again!!!
Although the facilities are a bit retro, everything is very well maintained. It's really fitting to stay in a historic house like this when visiting a hot spring town. The hot springs were also very comfortable. I hope to have the chance to go again.
”The hotel's location by the sea offers stunning views. Sea-facing rooms offer a truly relaxing experience, with stunning views. The hot spring water is excellent, and the soak is incredibly relaxing, both physically and mentally. The large public baths are spacious and well-designed, so even with a large group, they don't feel crowded. The breakfast is varied and delicious, with both Chinese and Western options being exquisite. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and highly recommend it.”

WWong Ka Wa DicknesThe hotel is conveniently located, the staff are eager to help, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is good, and there are vending machines, a microwave, and an ice machine on site, which is very convenient. Transportation is also convenient; the bus terminal is just a minute's walk away, and the racecourse is a 20-minute drive away.
GGuest UserThe size of the room is good, but I think the sound of the next room, corridor, etc. is a bit noisy, the sound insulation is not good, the bathroom is too small, the obedient staff is very polite, located on the seven-day ~ suitable for sightseeing, reasonable price

GGuest UserIt's close to the station and there are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, which is great. It's also great that you can take a bath at the group's super public bath.
Iimagine62We're coming back for the second year in a row!
Our rooms were spacious and panoramic, with a beautiful view from the window. The room had everything we needed.
I really liked the private bath; it was comfortable and beautiful.
The public bath wasn't particularly impressive, perhaps due to the recent renovations. I can't say anything bad, but my expectations were a little higher.
The biggest plus is the staff. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness; it's thanks to you that we keep coming back.
The food was also great; the standard dinner menu has changed slightly since last year. There's a wide selection of drinks.
GGuest UserI am quite impressed with this hotel and almost try to reserve another one from the same hotel grouo. First, the room is not big but it is decided to use the space efficiently, e.g. standing shower instead of bath tub. large TV attached to the wall (which is a smart TV!), simple chair and can be placed below the desk. And in terms of facilities, there is a small bookshelf of comic books, massage chair ( with no cost ) in the relaxation room. The public bath has mid side hot tube, a sauna and cold bath. And for breakfast, there are good variety of choice and the area is large and comfortable. I think it is a result for thoughtful design and good use of space (again!). The only downside would be the lobby is located at the 3rd floor and the entry is facing a sidewalk, which can be confusing to find.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very good with great proximity to the ski place. The room is clean and cosy with great views. And the onsen is very good that it had long opening hours, we can go after the ski to relax.
However, it would be better if the guest had a choice of whether the room can be made everyday or after we left. And it will be even better if more variety of restaurants/ cur-sine can be provided rather than just buffet.
PPhittikI checked in 10 minutes early but the room was ready to check-in.
The Staff were nice as they tried to communicate with me even though I’m not good at Japanese.
The room was nice but when I was looking for an earphone case I had dropped underneath my bed, I found out that it was a little dusty down there.
The breakfast was japanese-style which cost only 550 yen and it was delicious.
I asked them not to clean my room during my stay so they just hung a new amenity bag at the door for the second night.
I also had a chance to use the laundry and drying machines which worked fine.
The hotel is near the Iwaki station so it was easy to get the bus and the train. I really enjoyed staying there.
AAussiePaulaThis getaway was exactly what I wanted. Traditional, immersive, comfortable, accomodating.
The staff came and greeted us in the car park, the dinner and breakfast was amazing, delicious, adventurous. And the onsen on the roof was perfect!
The staff thoroughly explained their processes. I spoke some japanese and they spoke only some english but they were very accomating with us and welcoming.
I would highly recommend and its also not far from town either.
It snowed a little the night we stayed and it was so magical!
We had our own private onsen at our room but the others in the ryokan are even better and available to be private, just lock door when your using.
