The hotel is right at the entrance of the ski resort and you can Ski in/Out. Guests of the hotel in Figure 3 can get a discount on the ski pass price. Our price for three days was 25,400 yen. There are very few people in the ski resort unless there is heavy snowfall. Very few people. There are several restaurants in the hotel, and you need to make a reservation for dinner in the evening. The taste is good. There are ski lockers on the first floor for free. Friendly advice, try to bring your own shoes and boards. The shoes rented by the ski resort are very loose and the boards are heavy and hard.
Our stay at Yukinohana Ryokan was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality that made us feel at home. The blend of traditional Japanese elegance with modern comfort made for an unforgettable experience.
The service was impeccable. Every staff member was attentive, kind, and eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made a lasting impression.
Yukinohana’s location is also excellent, just a short walk from Echigo-Yuzawa Station, making it convenient for travelers. We can’t wait to return!
Great location. Room size is huge. Bed is comfortable. Ventilation along the corridor is a problem as there's persistent food smell but fortunately it does not affect the room. Public bath is ok.
It was our second time staying at Naeba. The rooms are not the best, the floor is dirty but at least they staff were diligent to make the bed and change our towels daily.
The selling point is really the slopes and the scale of the hotel which has more than 6 buildings, with 4 rental shops spread across the various lobbies, multiple ski schools, eateries, which is very family friendly.
The ski area is great for December (start of the season) not too crowded and priced reasonably (food, rental etc) Children below 12 yo get free lift passes.
My asks: laundry dryers can be better, and I wish the rooms are freshened up and old carpets removed. But overall, the scale of it, and amenities make it a great stay.
The hotel has a hot spring, a snow park, and a shuttle bus to and from Kamikoku ski resort. It's so comfortable to soak in a hot spring after skiing.
There is a shuttle bus for transportation. It's a 45-minute drive from Yuzawa Station. It's a little far, but it's one of the best choices for skiing near Tokyo.
The staff's English is really not good, and the communication is... quite different from Tokyo. Not everyone is friendly, but I like it. Because it's not a tourist attraction, I guess there are not many foreigners who come here to stay.

What happened:
At 9 am on November 6, I found that the price of the same room type on November 14, including 3 breakfasts and 3 nights, was 6153, and the Earth Double Suite on the 13th was 8043 for 3 breakfasts and 3 nights. I communicated with Ctrip customer service. It was a bit too outrageous that the price difference of 30% for the same room type was one day different. The request was to directly deduct the price difference from the room type on the 13th, or to refund the 13th and change to the 14th. If not, can it be changed to a 100-square-meter room type on the same day and refund the price difference of 1200? If it is still not possible, can it be changed to a 100-square-meter room type on the same day without refunding the price difference?
Current situation:
At 12 o'clock, Ctrip customer service reported that the hotel refused to change the same room type for another day, and further negotiation was required; feedback was given at about 3-5 pm
Finally, there was no compensation or appeasement measures
The hotel itself is not bad, whether it is the room itself or the service, the surrounding area, the dinner or the hot spring; but it really affects the mood! Spend money to buy a bad experience🤢
I found the dinner and breakfast expensive. As the price is expensive than other hotels we expected more variety but it was lesser than where we usually go. So were quite disappointed as I dont eat sea food and paying 3000 for break fast and 5000 for dinner when you dont eat fish is quite expensive and alcohol was quite expensive too.
There was lots of activity to do so we enjoyed that as we reached the hotel before check in time
The hotel is atmosphere with a nice blend of the old and new. It is located not too far from Uonuma no Sato and have a complimentary shuttle service to and fro Hatago Isen opposite Echigo Yuzawa Station. The room is big and there is nice heated table area. The bathroom is nice but as with traditional lodgings such as this, it can be pretty cold especially at the bathroom area in winter.
Dinner was served in a bento format at our room. I was a little disappointed that it is a not a proper sit-down meal at the main dining area instead. The bento includes two generously sized onigiri, appetizers, and four main items including a meat patty, grilled fish and braised wagyu.
The onsen bath is also quite nice and loved the bath with the snowy landscaped garden.
Service is generally good and there are snacks and drinks available at the lounge for guests. In the evening, there is also sake and umeshu available for guests.
It's well located next to the conference center. The staff is friendly and efficient. But this hotel lacks some facilities as a five star hotel.
They don't even have a bar, but they have a sake lounge with machines that you can taste different sake.
The hotel has a very nice observation floor on the top with a cafe & souvenir shop that you can see the whole city of Kobe.
It was a good experience in general.

GGuest UserNot the most modern. But very cosy and warm, impeccable service and hospitality. Child play facilities inside the hotel (up to 6 or 7 years old). That's a bar for the adults too, open tab until the night. Private onsen is available for 1000jpy for 45 minutes, and is adjacent but separate to the public onsen that is available to hotel guests. Parking is just outside the hotel. Restaurants and snow gear rental is available down the road.
GGuest UserTravelling with my mom. Had a brilliant stay even though there were super strong winds on that night. There was perfectly delicious restaurants nearby, only 2mins away was ootoya- excellent food and service. The man who was running the hotel reception was so kind and friendly and went to extraordinary lengths to help us with our luggage and shipping to our next hotel. The breakfast was also yummy, simple flavors but wonderfully traditional japanese fare. My mom has some mobility issues too, so we were glad to see the relatively spacious room and wider than normal bath tub. 100% recommended!
One small issue with trip, not the hotel, I would have appreciated a more obvious flag out that the payment made online was a DEPOSIT. The man was quite flustered when I said I paid online already because you have to pay again when you get there then get a refund from trip after checking out. Please be aware of this when you book! But it was my oversight - although trip PLEASE emphasise these things a little more!
PPradthanaThe place is quite ages but still well maintenance. I love the hot tub so much. So we never use the shower and tub in our room and we just went to enjoy the hotel’s public bath instead. The outdoor ones are very amused. It was one of my best stay and the first impressive ryokan style I have experienced. Highly recommend. The hotel’s staffs are so helpful, polite, and friendly. The breakfast is so so and the dinner is very nice presentation. The dinner comes with courses and it is quite fancy for me as they serve one by one. The main dish is fish but we love the grilled beef they served so much.
KK三浦We have continued to use it since last year.
The size of the room is similar to that of a typical business hotel, but it is kept clean and the bed is comfortable.
Because location is near interchange, it is convenient to go here and there.

GGuest UserThe hotel is close to the train station, but need to walk uphill. Although we clearly booked 2 adults 2 kids in Trip.com but the hotel still charged the extra costs for 2 kids (2 years old) for additional 4400 Yen, pay cash at the checkin counter. The room was ready at 3PM and got the room on 3rd floor with mountain view at the back of hotel. The room was spacious, nice and clean. Staff came for turning down the bed futon in the evening. The breakfast was so amazing and plenty of choices. Overall, we had a good stay.
GGuest UserIf you're just staying overnight with breakfast included, the bathroom is only big enough for about 4 people due to the size of the washing area and the number of chairs. I have bad knees, so I wanted a chair with a high seat. I looked for one, but couldn't find one.
