The room was clean. Amenities were provided. The breakfast was varied and delicious. It was a wonderful hotel with a Japanese feel throughout. I also used the large public bath, but there was visible dust on the fan in the changing room. The ice cream and lemon water after the bath was very good. I would like to use it again.

This hotel is located on the south side of Lake Kawaguchiko, which is a good location. It's about 1.5-2 kilometers from Kawaguchiko Station and is within walking distance. The room was much larger than expected, a traditional Japanese-style room with an unobstructed view of Mount Fuji from the window. Breakfast was excellent; while not a huge variety, the quality was great, offering both Japanese and Western options. The chestnut pumpkin was particularly delicious. The staff were all very helpful. When they saw our child's yukata was a bit short, they immediately brought a longer one for the little one. There's a hot spring on the first floor. The beef and pork hot pot for dinner was just so-so. The portion size was too large, and a set meal would have been better.

Amazing hotel with the nicest staff. The view is incomparable. We were lucky enough to have a perfectly clear day and what a sight! Breakfast and dinner were included, but be aware that it’s mostly seafood. The hotel was clean, sophisticated and well designed. The onsen on the top floor gave a great view of the mountain, but all rooms are Fuji views. 10/10 would stay again!

We stayed just a quick night so we wanted something cheap. We got the renovated room and it exceeded our expectations. Staff can speak English very well. The room is quite big for Japanese standards and has everything you need. The big plus is the public onsen available, that’s was great ! The hotel and onsen are a bit old fashioned but the room was updated and really cosy ! It’s 15 minutes walk from the « downtown » Kawaguchiko and the famous Lawson. It’s on the border of the lake with a bike rental just next door. The breakfast is a set menu , Japanese style and was very good and fulfilling. Great value for money !

I bet no one would refuse having Mount Fuji all to themselves, with a full view! The hotel's location is super convenient for those arriving by bus, as the Fuji-Q Highland bus stop is right at the entrance. The front desk staff are professional and provide excellent service. The hotel also has an onsen. If you'd like a private bath, you can book a time slot in advance with the front desk; it's JPY 3300 for 45 minutes, and I tried it – it was great! The room amenities are complete, and the space is quite large! Breakfast is a buffet with many options, and you get an even more stunning, unobstructed view of Mount Fuji from the breakfast restaurant! However, if you plan to use the Fujikyuko Line for transportation, this location isn't as convenient. There are no public buses, so you'd either need to take a taxi or walk over 2km (about 30 minutes) to the Fujikyuko Line station. Overall, I really loved it, and big thanks to the staff! They also offer luggage storage!

I'm currently staying at the Tokiwa Hotel in Kofu and I already miss it. I could feed the koi in my room, and living in the gardens was a delight. The hotel offers a shuttle to Iwa Onsen Station at fixed times, but reservations are required. I asked Ctrip to make reservations, but they couldn't get me there due to the low number of guests. Taxis are also available. It's not quite walking distance, but the ten-minute drive is enough. Upon arrival, I saw koi everywhere, along with many unique rocks and several breathtaking gardens. My room was a Japanese-style A-shaped room on the first floor, right by the water, where I could feed the koi. I loved it so much I bought four bags of fish food. When I booked the room, I didn't have a room for two meals, but I asked Ctrip to add breakfast and dinner in advance. We didn't have time to book dinner at the hotel, so we had dinner on the first floor in our room. It cost over 14,000 yen. The service and the girl who brought us to our room were very nice, friendly, and attentive. Although she didn't speak Chinese, she was very attentive and gentle, and a very nice person. The dinner was a bit average, but the Wagyu beef was delicious, and it was a pleasant and enjoyable meal in our room overlooking the gardens. Breakfast on the second floor was a bit simple, around 3,500 yen, which is not expensive. The downside is that the first floor is too close to the water, and the sound of running water is noticeable at night. Fortunately, I brought good-quality earplugs; ordinary earplugs probably wouldn't have blocked it out. The bathroom has no windows and is on the first floor, and there's a small urinal that smells a bit. However, the curtains do provide blackout shade, which is a positive comment. The large hot spring bath is excellent, with a large open-air bath. The room also has an onsen, though the pool is a bit shallow. I didn't book a meal. There's a convenience store 500 meters away, and an izakaya across the street for evening dining. You'll need to look for one at noon, as the hotel doesn't offer lunch. The lounge offers excellent coffee 24 hours a day. This was a wonderful stay for koi enthusiasts. The hotel isn't busy, but it's well-maintained. The room's flower arrangements are fresh, the hairdryer is a RefA, and there's a piggy bank to keep mosquitoes away. I'd definitely book again. It's much prettier than the Tokiwa Hotel, whose rooms are filled with artificial flowers, which is rather tacky.

Thank you for your hospitality this time. Even though it was a weekday, the hotel was packed with guests and very busy. I stayed in a Japanese-style room, but I developed an allergy, probably due to the dust in the comforter, and I felt in danger. I slept without a comforter, just covering myself with a yukata and bath towel. My family who stayed with me was fine, but this was the first time something like this had happened, so it made me wonder how bedding is managed at all accommodations.

The hotel is not far from the bus station, about 300 meters away. The main entrance faces Zhongshan Lake, and the windows overlook Mount Fuji. The location is absolutely superb! The only downside is that the hotel doesn't have bicycles available. We wanted to capture the scenery in the morning light, but when we left early, the rental shops weren't open yet, so we had to explore on foot.

Ssiufungjeh🌸 Hotel Mifujien – A Front Row Seat to Mt. Fuji’s Majesty If you’re looking for unparalleled views of Mt. Fuji, look no further than Hotel Mifujien. Nestled right beside Lake Kawaguchiko, this hotel offers one of the most photogenic and soul-soothing panoramas of Japan’s most iconic peak. 🗻 The View: Absolutely Breathtaking The highlight of our stay was the view — and it’s no exaggeration. Whether it’s early morning when the summit catches the first rays of sunlight, or during a serene sunset, the unobstructed view of Mount Fuji reflected in Lake Kawaguchiko is simply unforgettable. I woke up early just to capture a time-lapse of the sunrise, and it was worth every second of lost sleep. We also filmed a sunset time-lapse, and again, Fuji didn’t disappoint. ⸻ 🚶♂️ Getting There: Worth the Scenic Walk Although the hotel offers a shuttle bus pickup service, we chose to walk from Kawaguchiko Station — and it was a delightful decision. The 20–30 minute stroll is scenic and peaceful. We even stopped by a local supermarket for some ice cream while enjoying views of Mt. Fuji in the background. It was an experience that made us feel like locals soaking in a perfect day. ⸻ 🛏 Tatami Rooms: Authentic and Comfortable The tatami-style room was clean, spacious, and gave us a deeply authentic Japanese lodging experience. Sliding doors, futon beds, and traditional touches made our stay both relaxing and culturally immersive. ⸻ ♨️ Hot Springs: Cozy, Not Crowded The hotel features both indoor and outdoor onsen (hot springs). While not particularly large, they are a nice bonus to unwind after a day of exploring. Since they only accommodate a few people at a time, it’s best to avoid peak hours. ⸻ 🍱 Meals: Included and Delicious Our stay included both breakfast and dinner, and the food was outstanding. A beautifully arranged kaiseki-style dinner showcased seasonal ingredients, fresh sashimi, grilled seafood, and hot pots. Breakfast was equally satisfying with a variety of small dishes and a perfectly cooked grilled fish. Everything was crafted with care and served with hospitality. ⸻ 📝 Suggestions: • Bring a tripod if you’re planning to do photography or time-lapses — the view is too good not to capture properly. • Try both the indoor and outdoor onsen during quiet hours to fully enjoy the experience. • Use the shuttle service if you’re carrying large luggage, as the walk (while scenic) do take around 30 minutes. ⸻ ⭐ Final Verdict: 9/10 Hotel Mifujien is all about the view — and it delivers. Combine that with great meals, clean traditional rooms, and hot springs, and you have the perfect base to enjoy Mt. Fuji in all its glory.

GGuest UserBooked 2 rooms for 4 and was picked up by a friendly driver at kawaguchiko station. The room was sufficient for two but with big luggages could make it a little bit squeezy. Had a public onsen equipped with many amenities to make one feel fresh. Breakfast buffet was good with a decent variety for food. They also sell dinner buffet which is definitely worth a try. Location was it is right next to lake kawaguchiko with a nice view of Fuji (if it's visible). However to travel to other attractions like fujiq and oshino hakkai is a fair distance, but they offer a morning shuttle service to the station and a evening shuttle service back to the hotel which is very much appreciated

MM6353****This hotel stay was absolutely fantastic, definitely five-star worthy! **Excellent Location:** Directly facing Mount Fuji 🗻, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery right from the sofa! **Attentive Service:** From check-in at the front desk, the staff were warm and efficient. Throughout my stay, no matter what I needed, they were quick to assist. Truly thoughtful service. **Comfortable Room:** The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had excellent natural light. The sunshine streaming in really brightened my mood. The bedding was incredibly soft, and I slept wonderfully at night. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the toiletries were all of good quality and pleasant to use. **Great Value for Money:** Considering the hotel's location, service, and the hot spring ♨️, this price felt absolutely worth it for me. It was a trip well spent. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely choose this hotel again and recommend it to my friends!

Ttravel12🏨 the ryokan turned out to be much more beautiful than i expected from what i've seen on the pictures here 🗺️ the location is great, and even though we didn't get the room with the lake view, the view was still amazing. there's also a konbini and a few cafés right next to the ryokan, so it was very convenient 🕴️the staff was kind, it was easy to communicate in english 🧖♀️ didn't attend the onsen myself, but my friends told me they liked it ⭐️ taking one star off cause the shower-head was a bit broken and the room wasn't clean enough to my taste
