The room was clean. Amenities were provided. The breakfast was varied and delicious. It was a wonderful hotel with a Japanese feel throughout. I also used the large public bath, but there was visible dust on the fan in the changing room. The ice cream and lemon water after the bath was very good. I would like to use it again.

We stayed for 1 night and woke up with a clear view of Mt Fuji early morning at 6am. It is so rewarding. The hotel is very clean, nice and very spacious. Fujibike rental NRS & Ebike doudoubear is just across the small street opposite the hotel where you can use and return ebike doudoubear anytime.

Magical experience. Staff were very accommodating and helpful despite multiple delays during my trip. They went out of their way to fetch me to the hotel from the bus station, despite my arrival time being way outside of the shuttle bus' working hours. Really appreciated it. Breakfast and dinner was part of the package. It was always a surprise to see what you were going to get. It was delicious each time without a doubt. Would definitely go back!

This is a very traditional Japanese ryokan. Although the facilities show their age slightly, it's very clean and the location is excellent, right next to a park and the Kawaguchiko Bridge, making it quite tranquil. The staff are very welcoming, and the room is quite spacious. The toiletries in the room's bathroom are from Pola. Both the large public bath and the open-air onsen are wonderful. The food is decent. The hotel also sells yukata and haori, which are hard to find elsewhere and are reasonably priced, so I bought a set to take home. Overall, I would definitely want to stay here again on my next visit.

I bet no one would refuse having Mount Fuji all to themselves, with a full view! The hotel's location is super convenient for those arriving by bus, as the Fuji-Q Highland bus stop is right at the entrance. The front desk staff are professional and provide excellent service. The hotel also has an onsen. If you'd like a private bath, you can book a time slot in advance with the front desk; it's JPY 3300 for 45 minutes, and I tried it – it was great! The room amenities are complete, and the space is quite large! Breakfast is a buffet with many options, and you get an even more stunning, unobstructed view of Mount Fuji from the breakfast restaurant! However, if you plan to use the Fujikyuko Line for transportation, this location isn't as convenient. There are no public buses, so you'd either need to take a taxi or walk over 2km (about 30 minutes) to the Fujikyuko Line station. Overall, I really loved it, and big thanks to the staff! They also offer luggage storage!

I'm currently staying at the Tokiwa Hotel in Kofu and I already miss it. I could feed the koi in my room, and living in the gardens was a delight. The hotel offers a shuttle to Iwa Onsen Station at fixed times, but reservations are required. I asked Ctrip to make reservations, but they couldn't get me there due to the low number of guests. Taxis are also available. It's not quite walking distance, but the ten-minute drive is enough. Upon arrival, I saw koi everywhere, along with many unique rocks and several breathtaking gardens. My room was a Japanese-style A-shaped room on the first floor, right by the water, where I could feed the koi. I loved it so much I bought four bags of fish food. When I booked the room, I didn't have a room for two meals, but I asked Ctrip to add breakfast and dinner in advance. We didn't have time to book dinner at the hotel, so we had dinner on the first floor in our room. It cost over 14,000 yen. The service and the girl who brought us to our room were very nice, friendly, and attentive. Although she didn't speak Chinese, she was very attentive and gentle, and a very nice person. The dinner was a bit average, but the Wagyu beef was delicious, and it was a pleasant and enjoyable meal in our room overlooking the gardens. Breakfast on the second floor was a bit simple, around 3,500 yen, which is not expensive. The downside is that the first floor is too close to the water, and the sound of running water is noticeable at night. Fortunately, I brought good-quality earplugs; ordinary earplugs probably wouldn't have blocked it out. The bathroom has no windows and is on the first floor, and there's a small urinal that smells a bit. However, the curtains do provide blackout shade, which is a positive comment. The large hot spring bath is excellent, with a large open-air bath. The room also has an onsen, though the pool is a bit shallow. I didn't book a meal. There's a convenience store 500 meters away, and an izakaya across the street for evening dining. You'll need to look for one at noon, as the hotel doesn't offer lunch. The lounge offers excellent coffee 24 hours a day. This was a wonderful stay for koi enthusiasts. The hotel isn't busy, but it's well-maintained. The room's flower arrangements are fresh, the hairdryer is a RefA, and there's a piggy bank to keep mosquitoes away. I'd definitely book again. It's much prettier than the Tokiwa Hotel, whose rooms are filled with artificial flowers, which is rather tacky.

Not easy to get to . Staff at reception could not converse well in English. 2nd floor can see Mount Fuji but along with lots of wires too. Not clear Fuji view - if want to get clear view - take 7th floor. The dinner very worth it. The spread is good & quality is good . Strongly recommend to get dinner

I booked classic room. A little old but spacious. Apart from that, it was amazing! B1 is for kids!!! They have alot of games/ stations for kids to play whole day! Onsen also included!! On good day, you can stars glazing too. They have lounge access for classic room too. Small snack section. Classic room really basic, dont expect too much. This hotel was my pit stop before heading back to Tokyo (:

The hotel is quite close to the bus stop, about a 4-minute walk, but there are no convenience stores nearby. If you stay here, you'll need to book the hotel's breakfast or buy breakfast in advance. The facilities are a bit old, and it seems there are no disposable slippers, only geta (wooden clogs). However, the scenery is absolutely beautiful, with a direct view of Mount Fuji, so you can watch the sunrise right from your room in the morning. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.

Ssiufungjeh🌸 Hotel Mifujien – A Front Row Seat to Mt. Fuji’s Majesty If you’re looking for unparalleled views of Mt. Fuji, look no further than Hotel Mifujien. Nestled right beside Lake Kawaguchiko, this hotel offers one of the most photogenic and soul-soothing panoramas of Japan’s most iconic peak. 🗻 The View: Absolutely Breathtaking The highlight of our stay was the view — and it’s no exaggeration. Whether it’s early morning when the summit catches the first rays of sunlight, or during a serene sunset, the unobstructed view of Mount Fuji reflected in Lake Kawaguchiko is simply unforgettable. I woke up early just to capture a time-lapse of the sunrise, and it was worth every second of lost sleep. We also filmed a sunset time-lapse, and again, Fuji didn’t disappoint. ⸻ 🚶♂️ Getting There: Worth the Scenic Walk Although the hotel offers a shuttle bus pickup service, we chose to walk from Kawaguchiko Station — and it was a delightful decision. The 20–30 minute stroll is scenic and peaceful. We even stopped by a local supermarket for some ice cream while enjoying views of Mt. Fuji in the background. It was an experience that made us feel like locals soaking in a perfect day. ⸻ 🛏 Tatami Rooms: Authentic and Comfortable The tatami-style room was clean, spacious, and gave us a deeply authentic Japanese lodging experience. Sliding doors, futon beds, and traditional touches made our stay both relaxing and culturally immersive. ⸻ ♨️ Hot Springs: Cozy, Not Crowded The hotel features both indoor and outdoor onsen (hot springs). While not particularly large, they are a nice bonus to unwind after a day of exploring. Since they only accommodate a few people at a time, it’s best to avoid peak hours. ⸻ 🍱 Meals: Included and Delicious Our stay included both breakfast and dinner, and the food was outstanding. A beautifully arranged kaiseki-style dinner showcased seasonal ingredients, fresh sashimi, grilled seafood, and hot pots. Breakfast was equally satisfying with a variety of small dishes and a perfectly cooked grilled fish. Everything was crafted with care and served with hospitality. ⸻ 📝 Suggestions: • Bring a tripod if you’re planning to do photography or time-lapses — the view is too good not to capture properly. • Try both the indoor and outdoor onsen during quiet hours to fully enjoy the experience. • Use the shuttle service if you’re carrying large luggage, as the walk (while scenic) do take around 30 minutes. ⸻ ⭐ Final Verdict: 9/10 Hotel Mifujien is all about the view — and it delivers. Combine that with great meals, clean traditional rooms, and hot springs, and you have the perfect base to enjoy Mt. Fuji in all its glory.

EEvan 勾勾The location is more suitable for driving to, much like being in a forest resort. Although the rooms show signs of age, the space is very spacious and comfortable. While it's a bit inconvenient to walk a distance to reach the hot springs within the resort, it can still be considered a pleasant stroll.

MMaggiezqyThe hotel was very clean and quiet, and the surrounding scenery was pleasant. We could even see Mount Fuji directly from the hotel entrance. However, because it's in the mountains, there were a lot of flying insects, so we couldn't open the balcony door, which was a bit of a shame as we missed out on enjoying the outdoor hot tub on the terrace. Other than that, everything else was excellent.

SShanghaiqianqianThis hotel might be the best value for money by the lake. It's directly facing Lake Kawaguchiko, and Mount Fuji is right to the left, so you can enjoy beautiful views without even leaving the hotel. The breakfast buffet is incredibly rich and the hotel service is excellent. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserGreat location very good place very clean very new everything was perfect within the cabin. One drawback would be that there is quite a lot of noise from the railway and the railway station, but everyone should be aware of that because you can see quite clearly that you’re next to the railway on maps

AAnonymous UserI love everything here, the room, the view from the room, the onsen and the dinner set. Just a couple of small things. When I asked if we could use the hotel bicycles, the front says it’s not for guests. However, I did saw a couple of tourists ride them the next day. One thing I think could be improved is, door lock is still using key. Would be better if changed to keycard.
