Great location and wonderful service by the hotel team. However, the rooms on the 1st floor (we had 2) weren’t great - the showers needed about 10minutes at full blast to get hot water and even then it was only lukewarm. One of the shower screens was leaking and it flooded the bathroom floor. The 2nd stay was better - we got rooms on the 3rd floor. Decent showers with immediate hot water. If the maintenance was managed better, this was be a super hotel as the location is fantastic. And the reception team is excellent
The hotel is brand new, with excellent rooms and very friendly front desk staff. While it's a bit far from the city center, its convenient location near the metro station, train station, and bus stop for adjacent towns means this isn't much of a downside. Most city attractions are easily accessible within 40 minutes by metro. When returning to the hotel by metro, I highly recommend alighting directly at Campanhã station. I once tried getting off at another nearby metro station, but the walk back to the hotel involved navigating through winding, narrow alleyways, which felt a bit unsettling. From Campanhã, it's simply a straight, easy walk back.
The hotel's location is superb, right in the historic center. You step out and see the blue and white porcelain chapel, and almost all city attractions are within walking distance. Breakfast is also plentiful, with fruits, vegetables, various pastries, and meats. The room is comfortable and quite spacious. The lobby has an industrial design, which is very creative.
Porto was an amazing stopover. Vincci Ponte de Ferro was a great choice for us being so close to everything we wanted to see but quiet for a restful sleep after s long day of exploring. The views from the hotel is not something we’ll forget for a long, ling time!
The description of the room indicated that there was a parking - in fact it is not and there is no parking near the hotel. It is proposed to put the car on a paid parking in the Ibis hotel - about 10 minutes walk and with suitcases is not very convenient
There is a kitchen and dishes on the territory of the hotel (hostels) where you can heat and cook food
At the entrance of the hotel very large staircase
Although the reception staff was impeccable in exchanging a room with a bathtub, as requested at the time of booking, it only had small towels - the large bath towels were missing. Bathtub faucet leaking heavily, with water spraying everywhere. At 9am, construction work was underway in a hotel room on the same floor, and it seemed like they were in the same room, such was the noise. One observation: the receptionist wanted to know how it went, so I mentioned what had happened, and in response I received: ”It will be better next time...!”
Generally, it is a good hotel for living but you may need to climb a little bit to get to there from the metro station. Anyway, it is close to the city centre with a fair price. Besides, we have faced the issue with our room card for several times, but the good thing is the staff is friendly and helped us for fixing the problem.
Location: Excellent, within walking distance of famous attractions like the Douro River, Livraria Lello, and São Bento Station. The riverbanks are charming, with numerous restaurants and a breathtaking sunset view.
Facilities: Very new, the room was thoughtfully provided with beach slippers and a large towel. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and the layout was well-organized. It's a boutique hotel.
Service: The owner is Italian, so many staff members seemed warm and cheerful, with bright smiles.
One thing I was a little disappointed about: I had secretly left a message before arrival, hoping the hotel would give my family a small birthday surprise, even a card. However, from check-in to departure, the hotel didn't respond at all. The front desk manager checked my passport upon check-in and, knowing it was the next day's birthday, didn't respond on the day itself, not even saying happy birthday. It was quite disappointing, but otherwise, it was acceptable.

Very Good
NNanfuliangyetingzhangerMy first night in a hotel in Europe. It was noisy, the transportation was more convenient, and the room was smaller. It was similar to a Japanese hotel.
AAnonymous UserAmazing hotel located away from the centre but near the Metro.
Beautiful decor and furnishings. Rooms were luxurious, and well equipped.
The staff at reception were super helpful and courteous.
One of the advantages is that the hotel provide a free airport shuttle. Mine was in a Tesla X with white leather seats. Just email your flight details to the hotel prior to arrival.
Although away from the centre I preferred the location as it had more local restaurants nearby. Try the Francesinha Cafe which is a 5 minute walk away
The nearest Metro is Marques which is a 5 minute walk.
Would definitely return.
JJinwooOne of the Best Serviced Apartments We’ve Stayed At
This was easily the best serviced apartment we’ve stayed at recently. All the facilities were brand new, and the cleanliness—especially in the kitchen and bathroom—surpassed even some 4-star hotels. Everything we needed was provided, and the interior design was excellent. The bed was also very comfortable. Great location, great price, great amenities.
Here are a few potential downsides that might matter to some guests:
• The internet was very slow. The Wi-Fi signal on the second floor was the strongest, so we used that, but it was barely sufficient for even checking emails. It felt as if the connection was intentionally throttled. If you need stable internet for work, tethering through your phone might actually be faster.
• No elevator. Our unit was located on the second floor, and we had to carry about 30kg of luggage up the stairs ourselves. Even a small, old-fashioned lift would have been a huge help.
• Noise from upstairs. Although the apartment was newly renovated, the flooring is still the original wooden structure, so noise from the upper floor can be heard. We were tired enough to sleep through it with earplugs, but sensitive guests should take this into account. Booking the top-floor unit might solve this issue, though that means climbing even more stairs.
• Early check-in confusion. We had requested an early check-in, but it wasn’t communicated properly. As a result, we had to drop off our luggage at the YOUROPO office, which is about a 6–7 minute walk from the apartment. I wonder if we could’ve left our luggage directly at the property if the message had gone through properly—perhaps someone from the team could clarify?
Despite these minor issues, I would still give this property a full 5 stars. If we visit Porto again, YOUROPO will be at the top of our list.
GGuest UserThis was not the first time I've been at this hotel. It's a nice place to spend a few nights. The breakfast food is good in terms of variety and the staff is nice and helpful. The spa is always a pleasant place for you to relax. However, the buttons of the jets don't work properly, specially the ones that are only accessible when you are in the pool, which can be frustrating if you like to use them and won't be able to. This time, the sauna was out of work, as well, but they were fixing it. They didn't really seem worried about fixing the jets' buttons, though... When I was at the hotel last year, they weren't already working properly, but now I couldn't even get them to work. The ones that would work, wouldn't be active for a long time after you pressed on them. In other Spas, they usually work for a few minutes when you turn them on. In this one, they would only be active for about 20/30 seconds at a time. The room I stayed in, had a different display. You would go through a corridor with the bathroom at the front and on the left you had the sleeping area. I liked it because it would conceal the noises coming from the outside a bit better. All rooms have a balcony, but something that feels that is always missing are a couple of chairs and a table. The balcony becomes useless without them! I couldn't open the bathroom door well (not even in 90 degrees in relation to the entrance) because it would bump on the bidet. Also, the shower and glass covering the bathtub seemed to be at the wrong wall because it was inevitable to wet the entire toilet when you showered. The corners were a bit dusty and the bathroom bin hasn't been changed from the previous guest. I think the cleanliness can be improved.
GGuest UserThe location is very good, very close to the square in the center of Porto, the most beautiful McDonald's is right outside the door, the hotel is very new. The shower facilities are the most comfortable in the ten-day trip to Portugal
KKisanpi35' walk from the center, there are places around where you can park for free. Modern shops and bars area
Comfortable bed, good temperature. Well soundproofed with the window closed.
Very good and complete buffet breakfast.
EEmilyI recently spent four nights at Aparthotel Oporto Sol, and while my stay was overall okay, it came with a few drawbacks.
First, the location is a bit outside the main area of Porto, which required some extra effort to get into the heart of the city. While the surroundings were quiet and less crowded, I did find myself relying on public transport or taxis more than I would have liked.
One of the main issues was the absence of air conditioning in the bedroom. During my stay, the temperatures were warm, and it made things uncomfortable at night. Opening the windows was not an option due to the presence of mosquitoes outside, which meant I struggled to find a comfortable sleeping temperature.
On the positive side, the apartment itself was spacious and generally clean. The amenities were adequate for my needs, and the staff was friendly and helpful, albeit a few blocks over. I appreciated the kitchenette, which allowed me to prepare some of my own meals during my stay.
In summary, while my stay at Aparthotel Oporto Sol had its merits, the lack of air conditioning and its location outside the main area impacted my overall experience. If you're sensitive to heat or prefer to be in the city center, you may want to consider other options. Otherwise, it serves as a decent accommodation for those seeking a quieter spot.
GGuest UserOur family reserved 3 rooms and arrived on a very early flight . Jose was kind enough to get 1 of our rooms ready within an hour so we could at least wash up, rest for a bit, and refresh before going out for the day. He continued to take care of us throughout our stay with anything we needed, while being extremely kind and personal. He is an excellent representative of the quality and care the hotel offers. We also liked the ambiance of the hotel. It was nicely lit and decorated in a fun, eclectic, and relaxing fashion. Our room rate included the breakfast which was an amazing spread with much variety, highly recommend. Location was central, easy walking distance everywhere. Small disappoin**ent was lack of gym. I know we walk around alot but it would’ve nice to have the option as my husband and son like to exercise quite a bit. In addition, the TV lounge room which can be nice for teenagers/kids to use while waiting for our rooms to be ready was rather plain in terms of interior design, just gray concrete walls, as opposed to the interesting and colorful designs of the rest of the hotel. This is just an observation, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again.
GGuest UserA decent hotel but was disappointed that on arrival I paid an additional 30 Euros for a room with a balcony, its a pity I was informed that they expected it to rain for the whole duration of my stay, I unfortunately couldnt use the balcony at any point due to it being wet all he time, what a waste of money!!!!!
RRomstarJust far enough from the busy crowded spots to feel peaceful, yet close enough to walk and or catch many different forms of transport.
We booked planning to use the Sauna and Spa after a busy days sight seeing. Unfortunately they had time Limits that didnt allow such comfort, but that just made us do more in gorgeous Porto itself. The garden are well kept, a lovely, and not so small, green space to sit and enjoy the sunshine.
Ana checked us in, she was wonderfully fun and full of so much helpful Information!! She gave us a fantastic, if not a little too ambitious itinerary for our short visit. And not one piece of advice Was wrong! Thankyou!!
The apartments are nice, they have a warm grounding vibe. Everything Was comfortable except our bed, but that is always relative to who's sleeping in it.
Well equipped for short stays, extra kitchen Equipment was available on request. But theres too many delicious options practically on your doorstep. We barely Even had coffee in our room.
I would gladly return and stay at Apartments Oporto Anselmo again. And recommend
