The Resort needs a make over. Stained carpet, curtains are sun eaten see through some patches, bathroom needs updating, sliding door to balcony doesn't close properly so wind whistled all night long. The TV didn't not work, next day it was working intermittently
On the plus side it was clean, and the food at the restaurant was delicious.
The hotel itself is also a penguin colony, and they organize free penguin tours in the evenings. After the tour, you can borrow flashlights to explore the hotel grounds on your own, which makes it well worth the price. I stayed in a two-bedroom duplex, which had a kitchen and basic cooking utensils, and it would be a good choice for an extended stay. Waking up early in the morning, I could see many kangaroos and hares on the lawn, and the nearby beach was also beautiful (though a bit windy), making it a very relaxing experience.
The hotel thoughtfully had the lights and heating on for us before we arrived, which was a very welcoming gesture. The room was clean, and the view was lovely. However, there was a significant gap under the room door, causing a constant draft. The heating was also quite weak, making the room very cold at night.
The facilities were really good, so it was nice. And even if I checked in after 6 o'clock, they wrote a friendly note in the mailbox next to the reception, so I could easily find a place to bundle up.
Loved the cabin no.6 given to us. Spacious with wooden feel. Front reception is very friendly too. Nice place.
Stayed here, and travelled to Burnie to see little penguins and platypus..😍
Every object in this 250-year-old house is about 50 years old, and bugs fly out of every cabinet door 🤢 Suitable for Halloween lovers...
The only bright spot is that the family heir, Ms. Louise, is very enthusiastic and takes the unfrightened families to feed calves, wild boars and several horses in the morning.
Fantastic location. Warm friendly staff. Great breakfast.

Very Good
JJeffreyComes with an open balcony with table where you can enjoy your meals in tranquility facing the sea. When the night is cold, there's a fireplace and electric blankets as well as electric heater to warm up the bed and room.
FFrancisDiscovery Park got all the basics. It is clean with all necessary appliances. Only downside was the unstable wifi. Perfect for self-driving road trip. Not recommend those relying on public transport.
