I've been to Gansu several times and stayed in nearly 20 different hotels, across various price points. This one is, without a doubt, the most satisfying experience I've had in the province. The lobby and guest room design are very modern for the area, with solid materials and excellent aesthetics. Every staff member I encountered, from the front desk to the restaurant to housekeeping, was attentive and very friendly. The front desk staff were efficient during check-in and even remembered a casual request I made. They also offered many daily necessities for guests, a small but thoughtful touch. The room was cleaned promptly and thoroughly. The bottled water was delicious, and the linens were excellent. I arrived for breakfast quite early the next day. There was a host at the entrance guiding guests, and after being seated, the cutlery was meticulously arranged. Every chef at the live cooking stations greeted us enthusiastically. Tableware was cleared promptly, and even though it was early, everyone looked energetic and cheerful, radiating positive energy to the guests. The breakfast selection was incredibly rich! From Chinese to Western, everything you could want was there, and the presentation was thoughtful. Most items were made-to-order and tasted great. Unlike many star-rated hotels nowadays that rely heavily on pre-made items, making it hard to discern the team's skill, this place was superb. Overall, many hotels are willing to spend money on materials, but it's rare to find one with such excellent management and service. I hope the hotel and its team continue to improve. I believe it's already undeniably the best in Zhangye, and I hope it strives to become the best in Hexi!

When I booked the hotel, I was a bit worried seeing that the pick-up service was only from 8 AM to midnight. I specifically called to confirm that they could still pick me up even if my train arrived in Dunhuang around 7 AM. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Shazhou Night Market, Dunhuang Bookstore, Dunhuang Print Bureau, and Mingsha Mountain. I'm very grateful to the kind lady at the front desk for upgrading my room and allowing me to check in early. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Should you say or not, some suggestions, purely personal suggestions: 1. In such an antique yard, there should be a few lounge chairs. Imagine how comfortable it is to lie down in the yard and drink tea in summer; 2. The socket in the room is indeed a bit small, just two bedsides and bathrooms have a total of 3 5-hole plugs (and the side of the bedside is still occupied by the stereo), now it is mobile phones, cameras, charging treasures, drones...especially inconvenient; 3. The lenses in the projector are a bit dirty and the picture is a bit blurry.

The hotel's location is excellent; right outside, you can catch buses to destinations like Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, the airport, the train station, and Xuanquanzi Scenic Area. The hotel interior is also quite new, and the bedding is good. Downsides: The water wasn't hot enough. They required a 30 RMB deposit for each room key card, which is something I haven't seen in years. For such a large hotel, it felt really petty. The front desk service wasn't bad, but it felt a bit forced and uncomfortable. I don't know why, but they barely smiled, which made me wonder if the management was mistreating them? It just made for an uncomfortable experience. They offer a station drop-off service, which I initially thought was a nice perk. However, the communication was unclear, and I wasn't sure if the car was even there. When you're traveling in an unfamiliar place and have a train to catch, punctuality is crucial. No one could give me a clear answer. In the end, I had to repeatedly press the front desk in the morning before they could confirm. It left a very bad impression; the entire management seems to have issues.

Can the mattress of Hilton Garden Inn be improved? The edge of the bed is always exposed, and the edge of the bed is a bit sharp. The child bumped into it once because of this reason. I think the people in the northwest are so warm and simple!

The hotel located near to the tourist spot. The hotel offers a very good free transfer around the city area. When walked out of the hotel building, the driver came out and asked where I was going and then gave e a left. The staff members are very helpful with any kind queries. The only problem is the the room does not have good sound proof. People stayed next to my room talked loudly till 2.30am of which disturbed my sleep very badly.

From the airport pick-up, proactively helping with luggage, to always greeting guests and reminding them about the weather – every detail felt thoughtful. The room even had soda water and yogurt. He's very friendly and not afraid of strangers. He has a naturally calming presence; petting him when you're tired from your journey is incredibly stress-relieving and became an unexpectedly warm memory of my Dunhuang trip.

On this Qinggan Grand Ring Tour, we stayed in a relatively comfortable hotel. The room was large, well-equipped, clean and tidy.
