Pet Friendly Hotels in Xinjiang, China

This was my first time visiting Altay, and this guesthouse was definitely a highlight of the 500-li scenic area. Every detail inside was meticulously designed, showcasing impeccable aesthetics. The rooms were spacious, with quick and plentiful hot water, a separate wet and dry area, and the rooms were warm and not dry. The milk served at breakfast was fresh milk from Xinjiang herders, with a thick layer of cream on top—very rich and creamy. Across from the guesthouse is the Kelan River, and not far away is a birch tree park. Across the Kelan River is the General Mountain Ski Resort, and the guesthouse's Northern Ski Club offers authentic, clean, comfortable, and warm ski suits—perfect for renting and taking beautiful photos. The guesthouse owner was very nice and also offered car rental services, making it very friendly for first-time independent travelers to Altay.

Right at the entrance of the scenic area, with unobstructed views, perfect for watching both sunrise and sunset. The 'starry sky room' was a bit of a letdown though; the ceiling doesn't open, and even with the side curtains open, the view isn't clear – you still have to go outside to see anything! The temperature difference between day and night is huge, but the hotel's floor heating worked really well. We checked into the starry sky room quite early (3:30 PM), and it was incredibly hot – the AC couldn't keep up, so we ended up sitting by the door to get some breeze. By night, it was very comfortable, not cold at all, and there was plenty of hot water. We booked without breakfast, but the hotel kindly gave us two complimentary meals! With no other food options in the scenic area, these breakfasts were a lifesaver. Overall, both the facilities and the natural landscape are quite good, and the off-peak price was reasonable. If you're coming, a standard room type would suffice; the starry sky room isn't really necessary.

The room was clean and well-maintained, with a thoughtful layout and an expansive view. The facilities and amenities were comprehensive, modern, and convenient. All the staff, from the front desk personnel we met upon entering to the housekeeping attendant in the hallway, were incredibly friendly and attentive. It was a very pleasant stay, and I'll definitely choose this place again if I have the chance to visit Xinjiang in the future.

One of the most satisfactory hotels in Xinjiang, the room is relatively large, the overall feeling is very transparent, and the hygiene is quite good. The hotel is located in the new urban area, and the overall layout is quite comfortable. Warm porridge at night: There are not many things, but it is just right for simple meals at night, suitable for babies who don't want to go out for food at night after a long journey. There is a Hotan rose pilaf near the hotel, which is within walking distance, and the lamb kebabs taste great. The only drawback is that the water pressure of the hotel is unstable at night, and the bath water is sometimes cold and sometimes hot, which is unexpected.

Wonderful hotel with a perfect location on the edge of the town next to the grassland with views of the mountains. Rooms are very clean and modern with everything you might need. All the staff are very helpful and friendly in particular 坎 who helped us on check in. Breakfast is delicious. Would very much recommend anyone visiting the area to stay here.

My journey westward led me to the Hilton Urumqi. Stepping through the doors, it felt as if I had entered a soothing oasis. After a long and dusty journey, what was most precious was encountering such genuine warmth. A young lady at the front desk, named Xiaobao, greeted me with smiling eyes. Her words carried a unique clarity and sincerity, characteristic of the Northwest. She calmly and efficiently handled all the minor tasks, as if it wasn't just routine work, but rather like brushing dust off the clothes of a long-lost friend. Seeing my bewildered expression, she offered extra advice; when I inquired about local attractions and itineraries, she leaned over with a pen, meticulously outlining details. Such meticulousness went beyond her duties; it was more akin to an inherent kindness and sincerity. The system at my previous hotel had failed to log out my secure session, leaving me stranded at the front desk, helpless, much like an ancient traveler who had lost their transit permit – anxious and embarrassed. Thankfully, Xiaobao came to the rescue, and with exceptional patience and professionalism, she helped me resolve the issue. What was originally just a routine stopover became a memorable highlight of my journey, thanks to this meticulous attention to detail. Across a thousand miles of desert, with the gentle tinkling of camel bells, travelers have always sought nothing more than a lamp, a warm cup of tea, and a kind word. Yet here, nestled among the buildings at the foot of Bogda Peak, what I received far exceeded these simple desires. The grandeur of the Northwest is hidden in its mountains and rivers; the warmth of Hilton is reflected on the faces of its people. My heartfelt thanks to Xiaobao; through her kindness, she truly showed me the meaning of 'a home away from home'. While other five-star hotels I've stayed at might match Hilton's facilities, it's the personal kindness and amiable nature of the staff that truly makes guests feel refreshed and at ease. It is precisely these golden pieces of the puzzle that assemble into the perfect experience at Hilton Urumqi.

As expected of a newly opened hotel, the decor is very much in line with the aesthetics of young people, with a simple and cool style. I loved the fragrance in the room, and the dry and wet separation in the bathroom was also great. I kind of regretted not having time to take a nice photo of the room because I arrived late and was too tired. 😔 The front desk lady was very gentle, and the boss was super nice. The location of the hotel is also very good, very close to the internet-famous bridge, and you can walk to take photos. There is also a small bar downstairs suitable for young people. It looks very good and I will come again next time I have the chance.

The most surprising thing about this Kanas trip was that I chose to park and sit and forget. Not only the scenery is beautiful, but also let me have a kind of intimacy of ”knowing the past in another country”. The hotel staff is more like friends of the same frequency. Will sit down with me at breakfast, wind and snow, wearing a single coat still insists on sending me to the car. What touched me most was a small detail of parting. I casually said ”your raisins are so delicious” when I checked out, and I packed a whole bag for me to take me on the road. This homestay is too ”intimate”, not a slogan, but sincere and sharing. Hotel breakfast + afternoon tea + good night dessert, invincible! I have been asking enough, too enough, especially breakfast, good-looking and delicious variety is quite rich! ☕️ Coffee is a surprise egg: I thought the Stay cafe next to it was the standard of the hotel, but I didn't expect it to be Wang fried! I was pleasantly surprised to find that there are beans provided by Changsha ”Luguang Cafe” in the store~ This is a sign that our Luguang old powder understands! Kenya soe, a cup of hot American, a cup of Australian white, clean flavor, exactly the taste I like! Before leaving, they smiled and said that they wanted me to give them a good voice to Lu Guang's boss. At that moment, it felt that we were not only the owner and the guest, but the old acquaintances connected by common interests. 🌶️ The authentic Hunan restaurant perfectly solves the ultimate problem of ”what to eat”. The golden combination of vinegar scrambled eggs + soy sauce fried rice, sour and appetizing. Start your day with a professional coffee, finish the perfect night with an ironed home dish, and a comfortable bedding that sleeps instantly, and it's all considered for travelers.

Facilities: Although it's a tent, it has floor heating, so it's very warm at night. I feel like it's perfect for beginners who want to try camping but are worried about rough conditions. It's very friendly for camping newbies. The bathroom is a brick structure and also has floor heating, so showering isn't cold at all, and the water is nice and hot. In fact, we were so tired the first night that we just crashed and showered the next morning. Afterwards, we felt wonderfully warm and incredibly comfortable. In summer, there's air conditioning, a fan, and a humidifier. That humidifier at the hotel genuinely saved me later – heaven knows, as a Southerner, my nose bled on the first day in Kashgar from the dryness, and no amount of moisturizer or water helped. Hygiene: It's quite clean; it feels like a newly built campsite. Environment: It's a bit far from Taxkorgan town, but if the weather is good, you might be able to stargaze. Unfortunately, it rained the night we stayed. There's a wetland nearby, which is truly beautiful. I'll just post pictures of the tent's interior, haha. Service: The campsite is a bit large, but I don't think walking around takes too long. Still, the hotel provides a shuttle service, with staff helping with luggage and transfers, which is great! There's also a particularly cute big fluffy chicken, hahahaha~
