Great privacy and safety with bed curtains. It's relatively quiet; the room has good soundproofing and convenient transportation.
The hygiene could use a bit of improvement, as the pillowcase was a little dirty. Luckily, I brought my own. Charging devices on the top bunk can be a bit inconvenient.
They offer luggage storage after check-out. The front desk lady was very friendly and always served with a smile.
There's a small bar downstairs where you can grab a drink and relax.
In addition to a cold meal buffet, breakfast also offered hot meals that could be ordered from a menu.
Coffee and hot meals were brought to you hot after you ordered them. I ordered sausages, and they were more filling than I expected.
Perhaps because I went when the breakfast area was just opening, the bread was also warm and delicious.
Overall the food was delicious, but I especially liked the fruit juice served with the coffee.
This hotel's location and facilities are ideal, close to all major attractions. However, our check-in was disappointing. We had booked a double bed, but the blue-haired receptionist assigned us a twin room without notice.
The other staff offered to change rooms, but it required a one-hour wait. Having just arrived from a long-haul flight, we were too exhausted to wait any longer. We therefore reluctantly had to accept the incorrect room.
We hope the blue-haired receptionist can improve her professional diligence to prevent future guests from facing similar issues.
Good value for money and the breakfast was good.
Staff were very helpful to our request to change the room due to the initial room had some odour emanating from the bathroom
Stunning interior absolutely spotless, the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept on and the pillow wow like clouds! Pleasant helpful friendly staff, can’t get over how beautiful the building is, the architecture is amazing it’s like being inside a palace! The location is fab, direct routes to all famous buildings and tourist spots, surrounded by restaurants and cafes and bars and all forms of transport! We walked everywhere. I’d definitely recommend and will definitely be using again! Thanks for a fantastic stay.
This hotel is great if you're just passing through, as it's conveniently located near Keleti train station. However, it's a bit far from the city center. Luckily, Budapest has excellent public transport. We bought a 24-hour pass, so it only took about 20 minutes to get downtown.
The room itself was pretty standard and very clean. But I have to mention the noise issue. I specifically chose a room with no view, not facing the busy main street. Yet, the inner courtyard was still noisy, and I particularly disliked the humming sound of machinery. Honestly, car noise would have been preferable. So, if you're sensitive to noise, I highly recommend checking it out beforehand.
The front desk strongly recommended adding breakfast, and at 17 euros per person, it wasn't overpriced. It saved us the hassle of finding a restaurant early in the morning, and the variety was excellent. I definitely recommend trying it!
All round the Corinthia Budapest is a great hotel with good prices and excellent service from very friendly employees throughout the hotel. Excellent spar. Relaxed lounge areas.
The bedroom on fifth floor was very nice clean and comfortable. The heating system is set at a high temperature which can become quite uncomfortable in the middle of the night. Loved the Christmas decorations and Christmas Sunday brunch with free flowing beverages.
Very tasty food in the restaurant. The only issues we would highlight is the problem with the hotel being so big that the breakfast restaurant gets very crowded with delayed self service causing the food to become cold by time you sit down. This is also due to many guests leaving the Bain Marie food service warmer lids open as they are rushing to get food. Also the coffee is machines are not good quality or require servicing as the coffee was warm or cold once milk or cream was added. This was the case everyday over 5 days we never got a hot coffee.
Hot food and drinks are very important and this was unfortunately the only let down during our stay.
Hence the reason for a lower review score.
Aside from this I would recommend the hotel.
I have stayed at Danubius chain in Budapest before, Helia which is a spa hotel. This is more of a business location being beside the Puskas Arena and the M2 subway line and the 1 Tram line which gives multiple transit options if not using a hire vehicle or taxi. Breakfast was very decent, service attentive and professional. The room was clean with a few minor issues ie bathtub not draining quickly, furniture showing age (I understand so not an issue) and the facilities very good for my purpose - large gym with all required equipment, smaller pool but still permitted laps and a sauna all of which I used each day. As my last day had me leaving before breakfast, I was provided with a takeaway bag. All much appreciated. Front desk very helpful and kind. I enjoyed my stay very much.
I booked breakfast at the hotel on the fly, and it was really plentiful. The restaurant decor was very retro and luxurious, with a historical Eastern European feel. My advice would be to book a room with breakfast included when you make your reservation, as paying on the spot can be a bit pricier. The hotel service was excellent. I was staying for three consecutive nights, but due to room type and pricing issues, I had to book three separate reservations. The front desk staff helped me coordinate so I didn't have to change rooms and could stay all three nights continuously. I'm very grateful to Trip.com customer service for their mediation and to the hotel staff.
The hotel is right on the Buda fisherman bastion the best location,a little pricey. Disappointed due to no air conditioning hotel said they put off air conditioning during this season Starting October. Most of Europe does this. They instructed us to just open windows,if a person has respiratory issues it would affect their breathing. The temperature of the room is not consistent near the window is cold away from the window is hot, Otherwise it is a good place to stay.

GGeiorgiestravelsI stayed for 6 nights in an 8 bed female dorm with en-suite. Bed is comfortable and each one has a lamp , plug socket, privacy curtain, small lock box on wall within bed space and an under bed storage box that is big enough to hold a carry on suitcase (need own padlock). The room is spacious enough to not feel cramped even with 4 bunk beds. There are hooks on the side of the bed and walls. The en-suite shower room had a hairdryer and soap/shampoo in the cubicle. There is also a washroom in the corridor. Rooms are cleaned each morning.
Room has heavy blackout style curtain and there are two lights meaning the smaller light near the door can be put on by someone arriving late. I had no problems sleeping. Roommates are the luck of the draw; all mine were quiet and respectful.
The hostel is in a charismatic old building yet modern and clean. The beds are spacious and comfortable to be in, also lounge areas, dining areas and separate work areas with tables being used by people on computers. Free WiFi is stable throughout. Kitchen area has multiple cooking hobs, necessary cooking equipment and even a toasted sandwich maker which I enjoyed making use of.
The hostel is clean, well organized and designed well for travelers. It is not a party hostel and a quiet place to chill, I.e. not the place for someone who is looking for a bar and active social scene within the hostel though everyone I met was friendly. Feels safe and secure with keycard access.
The location is great; being less than 5 min walk from Fovam Ter means lots of transport links for bus, tram or metro. I arrived and departed by FlixBus and bus 83 provides a direct 25 min route to the bus station. The hostel is right next door to the Great Market Hall in which there is an Aldi to buy cooking basics and all the market stalls for Hungarian specialties and souvenirs. Easy walking distance to the historic centre and places tourists would want to go.
I would definitely stay again.
Lluna IijimaIt became one of my favourite hostels.
Every staff member was so friendly and kind, and it was an amazing location as well!
They are doing activities often, it helped for solo travellers
They helped me a lot whenI lost my phone on my first day of holiday
Special thanks to Kai!!!
戴戴隽言My stay at Dormero Hotel Budapest was very pleasant. The hotel is ideally located, within walking distance of the city center and many major attractions, such as the Danube River, the Chain Bridge and the Holocaust Memorial. There are also many good cafes and restaurants around, and the transportation is also very convenient.
The whole room is very clean and tidy, full of modernity, and the color matching is simple but warm. The bed is comfortable, the pillow is soft, and the sleep quality is very good. The bathroom is clean, the hot water is sufficient, and the towels and toiletries are of good quality. The most special thing is that the room is equipped with a free minibar, which replenishes mineral water and several drinks every day, which makes me feel very considerate.
The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, and the check-in and check-out are very efficient. Although some employees are not particularly fluent in English, there is no big problem in communication, and the service attitude is sincere.
GGuest UserThe location was perfect, there were a lot of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and the staff were very friendly ☺️ And the room was very spacious and clean, the shower was comfortable, and the price was great.. 🤍🖤👍🏿
+ All the drinks in the fridge were free.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a very good location, on the quiet side. But there is public transportation right outside, and it's a 7-minute walk to the opposite side of the Congress. It's a great place to walk along the river at night.
There is a nice bar on the top floor of the hotel, and the guy was super nice and gave me a free meal!
The room is very exquisite, not big but tasteful, and everything is new.
GGuest UserA beautiful place, not the first time we stay with the family in this hotel. This time we took a room more, it is beautiful, but it turned out to be 6 et, and the elevator up to 5 et. Next, the screw staircase under the roof. We had 3 big suitcases, it is not very convenient to pull them down the stairs. Bike number.also as a recommendation of the hotel administration, add a teapot and at least a few tea or coffee bags to the room (which is the usual practice in good hotels). People on the road are tired and it would be nice to drink hot tea rather than to wear shopping in search.

Good
GGuest UserThe staff is friendly, breakfasts are very good. The hotel itself looks more like a hostel for pilgrims:) But the price is also very cheap, so don't expect any conveniences.
