This place is truly spectacular. There are four full bedrooms, a traditional tatami room where you can lay out more mattresses, a huge dining room, a large and fully equipped kitchen, a lounge area with a wood stove, and a ridiculously nice bathroom with a sculptural tub. The host is incredibly kind and speaks great English. There’s also a Super Nintendo setup for all your retro gaming needs. The location is gorgeous as well, and that includes the zen garden outside the main bedroom (which has incredibly comfortable beds). 15/10 stars!

My original booking was a twin room, but because it was smoking, I did n’t like it. After Ctrip customer service consulted the hotel, I changed to a non-smoking Japanese-style room (same price), including a buffet breakfast and dinner After looking at the price of these two meals, the price is close to 8,000 yen. I think the room rate is quite cost-effective. When you arrive at the Keihan Bus Station in Arima Onsen, call the hotel, and after checking that you are a guest, the hotel will send a car to pick you up for free (about 5 minutes by car). The hotel is built on the mountain and has a good view. There are indoor and outdoor styles (both golden and silver soups, opening hours are 0500-1100, 1500-2400, and free massage chairs are available). Please note that yukata can only be worn between the room and the large bath on the 7th floor. It cannot be worn in the reception lobby and restaurant. The hotel shuttle bus service time is 0900-1800, and guests can be returned to the town of Arima Onsen for free (the Keihan Bus pick-up point), but if you have time, you must ask clearly in advance. I walked down the mountain, but it wasn't that far, it was about 10-15 minutes (you need to go out from the garden gate on the first floor and turn left, not the main entrance of the lobby), but some places are stone steps. Passengers with luggage have trouble walking.

This time, our family of 6 stayed for 3 nights. Most people might have planned to have a BBQ dinner, but because it snowed for 2 days, it was a bit difficult to cook our own meals in the kitchen of the accommodation using local ingredients! Because there are too few equipment, only a small frying pan and a small soup pot, the equipment is relatively simple. I don’t know if it’s because of the cold weather, but both of the pipes in the bathroom sink are leaking… But the staff provided good service and were warm and welcoming, and there was no problem communicating in English! Because of this, when it was snowing heavily and the snow tires were useless, they took the initiative to contact us and come to provide roadside assistance. Thank you so much🙏 However, please note that if you are traveling with an elderly person, unless it is House 3, there is a pebbled slope before entering the house, which is quite difficult.
