This hotel near Chinatown in Mexico City is relatively clean and comfortable, though a bit below the usual Ibis standard. The location is a good—quiet at night but still close to the central walking areas.
The staff don’t speak English but are kind and do their best to help. The main downside is the bathroom—water doesn’t drain well, so it ends up flooding, which was pretty annoying. Other than that, it’s a decent spot for the price, especially if you’re just looking for somewhere simple and convenient.
I checked in 2-3 days late due to emergency and they said all 4 nights bookings were cancelled, even I still have two more nights to stay. They refused to refund as well, so I just paid for an half day stay cause I was supposed to have a flight at night and they charged almost full, receptionist was never kind to tell me that difference is just little for an overnight stay. So decided to stay overnight cause I re-scheduled my flight the next day, cause I had a meeting and I won’t catch my flight, then when I returned back to the hotel, bought a water they asked for the room number and new receptionist told me that I should have checked out cause there’s a note that I can only stay until 6 or 7PM, I checked in at 2PM, lol. Paid almost 70USD for that, then I told them to extend until next day at 2:00PM, then they charged me for another almost 80USD. No consideration at all, will definitely ask the booking app to ask for the 4 nights stay refund that was unused that they refused to refund, they said it’s no show already even I showed up on the 3rd day. Lol. Kinda scam tactic. And I hate it. I just let it go.

The location is convenient, the bed is big and comfortable, very good. There are many places to eat and play around. It is also convenient to visit clients. I stay here every time I go on a business trip. Overall it is good

The room size is average, but very comfortable. It is better to book a south-facing room. All the service staff are smiling and very intimate. The Hilton Garden next door is much better. The breakfast is also very good. Especially recommended egg cakes, haha 😃
Negatives:
The hotel had WiFi, but it always broke down or didn't work at all.
The walls are extremely thin.
The bathroom was leaky and after a shower your feet were always wet when you wanted to go into the bathroom and it was moldy.
There was no air conditioning in the room. There was a fan provided, but no power outlet within reach.
Positives:
The location is extremely good. You can get anywhere quickly with Uber or public transport.
The staff is friendly, even if they don't speak English, or speak it poorly.
It's not a quite nice experience living there. Can you imagine a 4-star business hotel unable to provide WIFI service during the entire SUNDAY? And the front desk said they can do nothing about that situation.
Unbelievable!
Besides those, it's an okay choice for biz trip.

The location of the hotel is convenient and the hotel's swimming pool is a plus. I am not very satisfied with the service at the front desk overall. Free drinking water is not provided. I contacted the customer service of the hotel group and explained that it was a matter of membership.

The location is perfect but everything else needs to be reviewed! The rooms are aging and need a real refresh...Moreover, when we arrived at the hotel at 8:00 a.m. after almost 20 hours of traveling with a baby, our room was available but we were asked to pay an additional €45 to be able to access it. ..(otherwise we had to wait until 3 p.m.!) On the other hand, no compensation for leaving the room early in the morning on the last day of our stay 😉)
2 towels for 3 people, 2 power outlets only available in the room, incessant noise due to single-glazed bedroom window, located on the 1st floor on a busy street...
And finally, impossible to access the roof terrace, all the time taken for ”private events” in short, we were particularly disappointed with our stay in view of the comments we had read before our reservation!
It was very conveniently located just a short walk from Alameda Central. There was a taco shop right near the hotel, so I could easily grab some if I got hungry.
The room was spacious and comfortable. Water was provided. There was no toothbrush. I didn't mind it too much, but the room? Or the TV stand? was tilted, and the drawers wouldn't close and stayed open.
Also, even though I'd already paid online, I was charged for my stay there. Fortunately, they quickly refunded me after I explained that I'd already paid online.
I was able to leave my luggage after checking in.
Overall, I didn't have any particular issues.
Everything was very good, although the room is not very big, the large window and the view of the city make up for it. The room is modern and pleasant for resting and sleeping. The restaurant is spacious on the 2nd floor, with a very good breakfast, and also the executive menu from Monday to Friday between 1 and 4 pm. The entire staff is very friendly and smiling, I have never seen a bad face, and they help you with any questions. The waiters are very professional and attentive both at breakfast and lunch time. In front of the hotel there is a metrobus stop, Polyforum station, there is also a Sears and a Chaderaui supermarket, or something similar, and several food shops. My experience confirms my very good opinion of the Novotel brand, I would definitely return.

GGuest UserSofitel is certainly the best hotel in CDMX right now. The pool and restaurants are very, very, very good, the rooms beautiful and spacious, and the service is world class. Special thanks to Diego, one of the managers.
GGuest UserThe rooms are very large and functional. I was touched both by kitchen inside, sofa, TV, etc. Also has a gym with a great view on the high floor.
My only recommendation is to improve the type of breakfast, it can be more varied or international style.
Thank you.
JJose AlejandroThe hotel is located in a very central location, a few steps away is the central Alameda Bellas Artes, Madero, Reforma, Monumento a la Revolución. The hotel's remote transport service is varied, Metro, metro, public transport; although the area is not all the best, it has changed a lot. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable, and the hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. If you are in a room with view of the CD, the San Fernando park and temple is wonderful (now this area is recovered because there were many people in the streets before)
