We had a perfect time at Eaglebay Retreat. It’s truly an undisturbed paradise. You have an entire house and hundreds of meters of coastline all to yourself. Every morning, you can wake up in the sunshine and decide whether to go snorkeling or just relax in the sun—you have the choice. The sunsets were always perfect, and experiencing them on a paddleboard is far better than being in a crowded place like KK. At the same time, the retreat offers a wide range of activities that are both rich and reasonably priced—paddleboarding, jet skiing, kayaking, and more, so you’ll never feel bored. During our stay, Arlyn and h is family provided us with everything we needed: they inflated our paddleboards, helped us arrange sea activities, climbed trees to pick coconuts for us, and prepared delicious meals. Whenever we needed them, they were always available, without intruding on our privacy. Their presence was always perfectly balanced. I would also like to thank Faizal, who did a lot of work before our arrival, and Jamri, the kind lady who helped us recover our lost Apple Pencil during our stay. She assisted in finding it, came up with several ways to return it (considering Eaglebay Retreat’s remote location), and finally delivered it to my friend personally, asking for nothing in return. Your kindness will be remembered. Yes, I think we would definitely recommend this place to our friends, and we will visit Eaglebay again in the future.

Came to Semporna during the rainy season, and everything was just perfect. A clean and tidy little cabin, a friendly staff member, delicious dinner, the sunrise I saw just before leaving, and a perfect marriage proposal. Bubble Fish is a water villa that really pays attention to details. I rarely sing praises for a hotel, but Bubble Fish is truly worth it. Wishing them continued success, and I look forward to my next visit.

The hotel's primary focus on Chinese guests is evident in its services and amenities, which are predominantly in Chinese. This should be clearly stated in the hotel description on the booking websites. The villa itself is well-maintained, spacious, and equipped with everything you need. The beds and linens are of good quality, the toiletries are nice, and the bathroom is modern and clean. The air conditioner is quiet, but the external unit is quite noisy. The exterior and garden are lovely and clean. The breakfast buffet was subpar, with cold food and coffee that required guests to microwave (completely in Chinese) it themselves, which was also a major inconvenience. Yet, the variety and quality of food was good and tasty. The staff seemed indifferent to the lack of coffee and food, and the lady who came to ”check” on us only brought coffee when we asked. Overall, our stay was satisfactory, but this place definitely needs to improve its hospitality and guest service. Given the above this place is too overpriced.

1️⃣地理位置距離碼頭差不多1.2km左右，走路20來分鐘，或者坐酒店班車過去都可以，但過去的路非常破，甚至沒有人行道，晚上有點危險。 2️⃣酒店位於一個院子裏，辦理入住以及酒店工作人員都在院裏，如果外面有人講話，室內基本沒有隔音會聽到，同樣室內講話室外路過也可以聽到，追求私隱和安靜的慎入 3️⃣房間內部非常簡陋，窗簾都沒有，衹有一個羅馬簾，廁所甚至沒有窗簾😰 如果住一樓的話晚上基本沒有私隱了，為啥窗簾都不捨得整一個，屬實難受 4️⃣晚上會很吵，會有各種蟲鳴鳥叫，然後摩託車經過的聲音，並且我住的房間外面一直有莫名的持續的機械嗡嗡聲，非常吵，然後凌晨四點旁邊還開始用大喇叭誦經禱告了，一晚上基本就是在各種噪音中度過，非常折磨😩 5️⃣早飯就是一個蛋一碗拌麪，吃完就可以去跳島了 總之這個價位不推薦入住，真的太吵太吵了，本身住酒店最重要的就是休息，而且房間沒有窗簾私隱性差，這邊經常下雨，一樓還會有水臭味和黴味，很一般的酒店，對不起這個價位，個人認為反正都是吵還不如住碼頭邊得了。

The room was clean and tidy, and the service from the front desk and logistics ladies was very good. The breakfast was simple, but there were staple meats, eggs and bread, and the staple meats were different for three days. There was a place on the balcony where you could wash your clothes by hand. It was a pity that there was no kettle, only one stool, and the hot water was relatively small.

I compared a few places before choosing this one, and it was a great choice. It's clean and tidy, thoroughly sanitized, and the room's soundproofing is excellent, so you can get a good night's sleep. The toiletries are also of good quality, which is reassuring to use.

Choosing the Walawali Water Villas for our stay in Semporna was absolutely the right decision! Having a 24-hour Chinese butler was incredibly thoughtful; communication was seamless, and any issues were resolved immediately, which gave us a great sense of security. Our room was a twin-bedded seaview townhouse. Stepping out, we were greeted by crystal-clear 'glassy' waters. Snorkeling gear was provided for free, so we could jump into the sea anytime to see schools of fish and coral. After a tiring day of activities, a delicious breakfast awaited us, making everything completely stress-free. The entire water villa is built right over the emerald sea. Falling asleep to the sound of waves at night and waking up to the sunrise in the morning – this is what a true island getaway is all about!

i had problem during my check in process where they can't find my booking and the room was occupied by other visitors. i booked 4 months in advance but still they missed my book. and at first they cant help me out, and ask me to make a phone call to that trip.com. i was so disappointed at that time because is late at night, and i already paid for it in advance. But luckily one of the staff offered me to stay in another kind of room without any extra charges.

The hosts are wonderful, friendly people who made our stay comfortable. Our room was a small room with a bed, a table, air conditioning and a combined bathroom. The room is clean. You can order food delivery and it will be delivered fairly quickly, the food is delicious. You can buy coffee, tea, and drinks on site. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the entrance to Hot Poring Springs, but they can give you a ride for free. There is a transfer to Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan. More expensive than Grab, but you can't call a Grab from there. Grab cost us 200 ringgit from Kota Kinabalu, the transfer back cost 300. Don't expect luxury from this place (or from others nearby). It's like visiting your grandmother in the village). Very soulful.

The bathroom smell cigarette. Hotel needs to inform all guests to not smoking inside the hotel room.
