The room itself was very spacious and generally comfortable, so in terms of physical space and basic facilities, the experience was acceptable. However, several service-related details significantly affected my overall impression.
First, this was the first hotel I stayed at in Europe that does not offer complimentary luggage storage, which was very inconvenient, especially for travelers arriving early or leaving later in the day.
More importantly, there was a serious issue regarding privacy and housekeeping procedures. In most hotels, rooms are cleaned only when guests place a “please clean” sign on the door or explicitly request housekeeping. In this hotel, staff went door to door knocking, and when there was no response, they entered the room directly. This felt intrusive and disrespectful of guest privacy, and it was quite uncomfortable. It also seems inefficient and unnecessary for the staff themselves.
While the room size and general comfort were fine, these service and management details were disappointing and do not meet the expectations of a hotel at this level. With better respect for guest privacy and clearer housekeeping protocols, the experience could be greatly improved.

Take the 150 road hotwirf station to the hotel very close, walk for 5 minutes, will pass Spartan supermarket, breakfast service is very good, coffee is cooked a pot to send up, set the family attic room to half a floor luggage At night, you can see the stars through the window.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Arabellal. Everything about the experience was exceptional. The property was spotless, and while some mention that parts of it feel a little worn, that was absolutely not our experience. We stayed in the main building, and everything felt top notch and very well maintained.
The service was outstanding throughout our stay, and the food was simply extraordinary. From start to finish, the experience exceeded our expectations and genuinely stands out as one of the best stays we have had. We would happily return without hesitation.

Very Good
Huge family room however the room lighting definetely needs UPGRADING! We were given the 2 queen size beds which was great n comfy! Bathroom comes with a bathtub which is ancient n needs upgrading . But it has heater which is great during winter of -3c. Room lighting is yellow dim lighting like the 80s. If you book, the executive level room(my cousin stayed there), the room is new n is white lighting .

Honestly the photos on Trip.com do not justify how beautiful the hotel it. Is an old hotel but beautifully and well maintained. The rooms ., the artistic painting in the passages and so much more is simply outstanding. The front desk was helpful and very efficiently. Honest Zell am See is a must see and stay for the Grand Hotel. Outstanding.

Very elegant hotel, nice lobby and comfy sitting area and friendly staff. We arrived early and left our luggage in the hotel and returned late afternoon to check in, our luggages were already placed in our room. The room was spacious with sofa and table and desk. There was water kettle for boiling water and tea bags provided. The bed was slightly too soft for us. In the evening, we enquired about ways to go to train station, the gentleman explained clearly to us options and direction and even printed a free transportation ticket for us. The next day when we were leaving the hotel the same gentleman bid us farewell politely and helped us with the luggages. We have a very pleasant stay at this hotel and would recommend this to friends.

Super friendly staff, great breakfast, wonderful wellness area with two saunas, steam room, swimming pool and a tea station. Little self-serviced convenience store by reception. A twenty minute drive to Salzburg. We really enjoyed our stay! Was an amazing wedding anniversary getaway!

Salzburg is a ok town. Until you show up to the Schloss. What do they have? Great pool. Grab a couple aperol spritzes and go for an underwater breathing competition. Great breakfast. Skip the serve it yourself buffet and Order an omelette and some crepes. Great town. Take the elevator and walk to La Stella. Order the bolognese, the feta cheese pizza, and the tiramisu. Drink wine and take the long way back. Draw a bath, walk around in the robe, and fall asleep reading. Salzburg is now your favorite town.

Good location and beautiful hotel. We are a family of two adults and three kids( age between 9 to 13). Hotel charged us for three adults and two kids. Three nights we ended up paying 3000euro plus. Cost is pretty high and the most hurting point is that we only got to know this upon check out…

We had a decent attic room at the top floor. It looks newly renovated and makes you feel warm and comfortable, even though the room isn't that spacious. The decorations of the hotel have some characters. Overall, a decent choice if you decide to stay in the area after a long day.
