"The main building's rooms are a bit old, which is understandable given it's over a century-old hotel. However, the convenience of being able to go downstairs for a hot spring bath is great. The outdoor pool's temperature is a bit low, suitable for kids to splash around, while the indoor small round pool is high-temperature, perfect for adults. The hotel faces a large, scenic lake, and there's an authentic German restaurant by the lake that serves delicious pork knuckle."

GGuest UserWe had a great stay here! The building itself is older, but it’s very obvious that the hotel has been newly renovated. Everything felt clean and fresh , the room was spacious, the furniture looked brand new, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. One of the highlights for our family was the game room, which was perfect for keeping the kids entertained. The amenities were also excellent, and the customer service was outstanding from check-in to check-out. A huge bonus was the free EV charging, which made our trip even more convenient. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely love to come back again!

GGuest UserMy family of four with children has some business to do in Campbell River, so there are some inconveniences with the one-day reservation facility, but overall it's good.

Great
GGuest UserI am writing to formally express my very serious dissatisfaction regarding the condition of my room and the overall standard of service during my stay. To be completely honest, the situation is far below what any reasonable guest would expect from a hotel of this category and price level. There is clearly long-term dust accumulation on the exhaust fan and in multiple corners of the room. This is not a matter of minor housekeeping oversight for a day or two it reflects a prolonged lack of proper maintenance and cleaning standards. Such conditions are unacceptable for a property that presents itself as a luxury establishment. Even more concerning is the foul, rotten odor coming from the sink water. Every time I brush my teeth or wash my hands, the unpleasant smell is immediately noticeable and deeply disturbing. This raises not only comfort issues, but also serious concerns about hygiene and water safety. At this level of accommodation, guests should never have to question the basic quality of the water provided in their room. I strongly believe this matter requires immediate professional inspection. I chose to stay at your hotel and willingly paid a premium rate because I expected a premium experience including cleanliness, attention to detail, and reliable service. Unfortunately, what I have encountered so far reflects a significant gap between the price charged and the quality delivered. In addition, despite leaving a tip for housekeeping and placing a written note clearly requesting replenishment, my shampoo was not refilled. I was eventually forced to go into the corridor to find another staff member for assistance. Cotton swabs were also not replenished for three consecutive days. These are very basic service expectations that should not require repeated reminders from guests. Taken together, these issues have had a substantial negative impact on my stay and overall impression of the hotel. I find this situation extremely disappointing and frankly inconsistent with the reputation and standards your brand claims to uphold. I would appreciate it if management could review this matter seriously and provide a clear and appropriate resolution.

Iiceman22Stayed at the former Trump Tower in Vancouver. The location is super convenient for getting around, very close to downtown, and not a far walk to Stanley Park either! During my stay, the breakfast area was under renovation, so all meals were delivered via room service. The fully automated facilities in the room were fantastic. Overall, a really great experience!

GGuest UserI visited because my family lives in Vancouver. I was really worried because the reviews were so bad, but it was better than I expected. The hotel staff spoke Korean, which was nice, and they were considerate enough to make the place stair-free, which was convenient. But... the heater... it's really noisy. ㅠㅠㅠ And if it's off, it's cold... and if it's on, it's dry. Hahaha. Still, it was better than the reviews said. It wasn't cramped for two people, which was nice!

LLIFANRight by the lake in the city center, the scenery is good and convenient. The facilities are average and relatively old. Dinner is in the hotel restaurant, very cheap. The lakeside bar must be booked in advance, and there is no place a little later. Breakfast must be spit, buffet price is high, coffee tea is another money, a total of five or six things (barely food), unpalatable almost equal to murder, knife pressure neck will not eat a second time.

GGuest UserPlace is located at the Main Street. Staffs are so friendly and fast in their service. Room is clean and the amenities are pretty complete (especially as family of four, the mini fridge, plates, spoons, knife, cups, microwave, are very helpful). The only unpleasant thing is we can hear our neighbors talking and they are pretty loud, but not during the night.

GGuest UserThere was a small problem when checking in, so I contacted Ctrip immediately and Ctrip quickly helped to solve it. I gave it a good review. But overall, the hotel is average... The Golden area is generally very ordinary, expensive and without any special features. You can avoid it if you can.
