Everyone here is very welcoming and friendly! Some people always mistake us for Japanese or Koreans, but there are people in China who like to travel and enjoy the world just like us! In short, I have fallen deeply in love with the Cook Islands, and I love everything here!

Wonderful Beachfront Location and Excellent Value Castaway Resort enjoys an amazing beachfront location. It was well sheltered from the strong seasonal winds we experienced elsewhere on the island, making it a peaceful and comfortable place to stay. Our accommodation was a good size, and we appreciated having a separate lounge area and small kitchenette. The television reception was fuzzy, possibly due to the aerial, but this was of little consequence to us. The sofa bed, however, was well past its useful life. The deep dip in the middle made it uncomfortable to use even as a sofa unless it was filled with pillows and cushions. The pool area is functional but looks tired and would benefit from some maintenance and updating. Wi-Fi is available only in the restaurant and other public areas, not in the rooms, which made working a little inconvenient. However, this was clearly stated in the resort’s description before booking, so it was not unexpected. The staff were amazing. Aileen, our housekeeper, and Firaz and Nather in the restaurant deserve special recognition. They were extremely personable, attentive and always willing to go the extra mile. The restaurant serves well-prepared and beautifully presented local food. Its beachfront position is a particular highlight, and enjoying cocktails there at sunset became one of the best parts of each day. Overall, Castaway Resort offers very good value for money, and we would happily recommend it. The calm beachfront setting, friendly staff and beautiful sunsets make any minor inconveniences pale into insignificance. A stay here is unlikely to disappoint.

Everything was wonderful! The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, always greeting us with genuine smiles that made us feel truly welcomed. The hotel environment is peaceful and relaxing, perfect for unwinding and recharging. The lagoon is unbelievably beautiful — its colors shift with the sunlight, and you could watch it all day without ever getting tired of the view. There are different activities every day, from fish feeding to fire dance shows, all full of the island’s unique charm. Overall, it was an amazing experience — the kind of place you fall in love with the moment you arrive. A special thanks to the hotel manager. Our original room had just been newly renovated before our arrival, which we truly appreciated. However, due to my sensitivity to paint smells, I felt quite uncomfortable. The manager promptly arranged a room change and kindly upgraded us to ensure my comfort. We are sincerely grateful for this thoughtful and timely help. We would also like to thank Luke in the restaurant for making our stay even more special. His warm smile, patience, and attention to detail made us feel truly welcomed. Thanks to their wonderful service, our holiday became a truly memorable experience.

Stayed at Qiongya Beach Hotel on Etutaki Island for two nights. There was an airport shuttle service and a wreath. I went to the hotel at 11 o'clock and drank a welcome drink. After listening to the hotel introduction, I could stay directly. This was great. Although the garden bungalow can't directly see the sea view, the room is large and it is good to sit in the porch and see the scenery. The beach is beautiful, there are countless coral cockroaches, which can be taken away but confiscated by New Zealand customs. Breakfast is average, dinner is not bad, 50 knives per capita. The disadvantage is that the facilities in the room are old, the door cannot be locked, and it takes a long time to work hard. The hotel staff came to check and waited for a long time. They also said that we broke it. It doesn’t matter if the hotel is safe and not locked. Later, we finally changed the room. This room is also a little faulty, too lazy to communicate with them, the shower shower is not very easy to use, the water is not big enough.

This resort fitted my purpose well. Love this adults only resort and location just right on the beach. Each villa is stand alone with your own entrance & patio area which is what I like. You are not attached with other rooms or share space. Facilities inside the room just same as the pictures. Good value & room price, includes breakfast. Overall, a clean & tidy complex, friendly staff, good size swimming pool. I definitely will choose Crown beach resort again.

The hotel's restaurant is delicious, the spa is also very good, it is worth experiencing, there are fewer people on the beach, there are not many snorkelers, the water is very clear, but there are many plants and mosquitoes. If you eat in that restaurant, you will be bitten by insects all the time. Overall, from the airport pick-up to the airport drop-off, every waiter in the hotel is smiling, very kind and friendly. I like it here very much. I think you should not stay in Rarotonga when you come to the Cook Islands, you should spend more time here

Overall, I really liked the resort's environment; the scenery was beautiful, and the rooms were very comfortable. Therefore, I booked a 6-day, 5-night stay including breakfast, hoping for a relaxing vacation. However, during my stay, problems with the resort's room service and restaurant management severely impacted my overall experience. First, the lock on the front door of my room had a significant problem and was very difficult to lock. To avoid frequently contacting resort staff and not wanting to add extra burden to the resort, I had to use the back door almost every day during my stay. As a resort, room door locks are a basic facility, and such a problem should have been repaired promptly, not left for guests to adapt to. Second, the housekeeping service standards were noticeably inconsistent before and after my stay. For the first three days, the room was cleaned very thoroughly each day, and the bed, sleeping bag, and kitchen area were all carefully tidied. However, starting from the fourth day, the quality of room service noticeably declined: ● The kitchen sink area was no longer cleaned; beverage cups, tissues, coconut shells, and sand brought back from the beach from the previous day were left untouched. ● The sleeping bag, which was usually neatly made daily, was no longer folded but simply rolled up and stuffed into the bed. This change wasn't isolated but occurred repeatedly, making it difficult to understand why the resort adopted completely different cleaning standards during the same stay. As a guest staying for more than five nights, I expected consistent and stable room service, not a decline in service quality with longer stays. Furthermore, the resort's restaurant food deserves praise. We ate there almost daily, both lunch and dinner, and the overall quality was very high, comparable to Pacific Resort, and some dishes even surpassed it. Unfortunately, the restaurant service contrasted sharply with the food. Service efficiency, communication, and management all need improvement, and I even felt a degree of preferential treatment. My biggest disappointment was a dinner reservation. To ensure a smooth dining experience, I confirmed and booked dinner for the same evening with three different staff members. Throughout the booking process, I noticed their indifference and even a lack of responsiveness. However, when we arrived at the restaurant at the agreed time, we were told that there was no reservation for us. As a guest, I had confirmed three times, yet this mistake still occurred. This is entirely a problem with the resort's internal communication and management, and the guests should not bear the consequences. I expressed my strong dissatisfaction at the time. Fortunately, a female employee who saw us daily and knew us well stepped in to coordinate and eventually arranged seats for us. I was very grateful for her help. Without her, the meal might not have been possible. Overall, this resort boasts excellent facilities, a comfortable environment, and high-quality food, which should have provided a satisfying vacation experience. However, inadequate facility maintenance, inconsistent room service standards, and chaotic restaurant management and insufficient service quality ultimately dragged down the overall experience. I am raising these concerns not merely to express dissatisfaction, but because I sincerely hope the resort will address these issues, improve its service management, and ensure that its services truly match its superior facilities and beautiful environment.

Our stay at Moana Sands Villa was exceptional. The accommodation was spacious and furnished, with all the amenities we needed. Opening the lounge door to the beach was simply magical. Having a 24-hour supermarket nearby was incredibly convenient, and the nearby cafe and take-away shop were fantastic. Overall, a perfect getaway destination that we can't wait to return to.

We had two rooms for our family. The beach suite was very spacious and had an amazing view of the lagoon. The beach was so calm and beautiful. We loved the kayaking and paddle boarding. The food was good but after a few days we were sick of the menu. Luckily the location is great and you can walk to other restaurants.
