Short review of the Dorint – Hotel in Bad Brückenau:
For:
– Great location in the middle of the Rhön
– Large sauna area with two pools (one outdoor pool), two rest rooms, two fitness areas, etc..
– Beautifully renovated rooms, partly very large.
– Good food available in the Ludwig and Lola restaurant
– Beautiful excursions: walking in the Rhône, visit to Fulda (40 km away)
– Super extensive breakfast
Contra:
– The restaurant is not very cheap.
– In our last room, the bath door consists of completely transparent glass (no milk glass), i.e. for guests who are a little less familiar with each other, it is not so well suited.
A total of a nice hotel that we would like to visit again.
Very nice hotel in a perfect location to visit castles around. Spa has a stunning view. We stayed in Jagerhouse that was the older one, you have to cross the street for a breakfast or spa, but the building itself is very nice, even on the older side.
There is a spacious parking, even though it is paid - for the location and the room rate it could be included. Also, 10 eur extra to use SPA after check in seemed weird and limiting, especially because SPA isn't open till late.
Location and amenities are nice but front office staff is in a weird state.
The first guy who checked us in looked rather disheveled. You could literally look through the shirt that was also messy to begin with. One guy during night shift seemed cold towards guests and was not inclined to be helpful while the two ladies during early shift put their priority on looking at TikToks and whatnot right infront of guests.
Being casual is one thing but making guests feel like an afterthought might be pushing it. If there is a front office manager they might want to rethink how things are handled.
Cleaning staff and breakfast staff were professional and welcoming.

The hotel boasts a great location, just a few minutes' walk from the bustling riverside area. The rooms are also spacious, equipped with tables, chairs, and coffee tables. The breakfast spread is impressive, and this hotel definitely has the largest breakfast restaurant I've ever seen. However, I can't give full marks for service. I received four bounced emails from the hotel (yes, four!) and ended up waiting at the front desk for 30 minutes for nothing.

Great hotel! The location is good; it's about a 40-minute subway ride to the city center. It's also convenient for guests catching early flights since it's right in the terminal. This is my second time staying here. The rooms are spacious, and you can pay the deposit in cash, which I found quite convenient.
Little hi hiccup at check but got an upgrade so no matter! Service was great, breakfast choices excellent, location next to main station, and a few steps into the old city, would recommend staying here!!!
The breakfast is too separate, the same every day, and it's all western style. All kinds of bread, 6,7 kinds of sliced ham and sausage, whole egg custard, fruit salad, each salad dressing. The green one is just a cucumber slice. Dinner buffet, expensive.
Quite an aged resort but we loved it! The room was large, a door leading to the a little paved outside area with views of the Olympic ski jump, best buffet breakfast, helpful staff - we had a couple of maintenance issues with our room when we arrived but they fixed them quickly so was no problem :)
Hotel was very new and everything was perfect. It’s very near to the train and subway from airport or to the city. Nearby there is a DM and REWE to buy your daily need and you can cook in the room. Hotel have a bar and a nice restaurant, the vibe is great at night after dinner.

GGuest UserThe room was clean and the hotel was in an excellent location, very convenient. The hotel staff was prompt and friendly. Would recommend to friends. The hotel is in the central square, within easy reach of several major churches and shops
ZZhangjianzhongAt that time, the front desk enthusiastically gave an accommodation guide. I looked carefully the next day and found out that there were free coffee, tea and flying alcohol. Parking is free. There is also a sauna.
HHuaerjuanThis hotel really knows how to please lazy people! Breakfast is open until 1 PM on Sundays and 12 PM on weekdays, perfectly matching a naturally awakening pace. You can start eating at 10:30 AM and leisurely eat until 11 AM, skipping lunch altogether. The remaining time is perfect for strolling around the neighborhood, swinging on the swings – so relaxing! The complimentary sunscreen is a must-have! Very useful.
However, I have to mention their dinner restaurant; the steak was absolutely awful, only the soup was decent.
TTravel itinerary 1Let's start with the spa - an oasis of relaxation and rejuvenation. From the moment I stepped into the tranquil haven of the Vier Jahreszeiten Spa, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of serenity and well-being. The spa facilities are impeccable, featuring a range of treatments and therapies that cater to every guest's needs. The expert therapists displayed a deep understanding of their craft, ensuring a customized and revitalizing experience. After indulging in one of their signature massages, I felt completely refreshed and invigorated. The spa's attention to detail and commitment to providing a sanctuary of calmness was truly impressive.
As for the location, Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski is a true gem in the heart of Munich. Situated on the prestigious Maximilianstrasse, it offers an ideal home base for exploring the vibrant city. From the hotel, you can easily reach Munich's iconic attractions, designer boutiques, and renowned dining establishments. The convenience of being able to stroll through the historic city center or simply step outside to admire the beauty of Maximilianstrasse made my stay even more enjoyable. It's a testament to the hotel's commitment to offering guests the best of Munich right at their doorstep.
The overall experience at Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski was nothing short of exceptional. The luxurious accommodations, attentive staff, and attention to detail throughout the property were all factors that contributed to a memorable stay. The blend of classic elegance and modern amenities created an inviting and sophisticated atmosphere, which I found to be both comfortable and inspiring.
In conclusion, Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich is a top-tier hotel that truly understands the art of hospitality. The remarkable spa and the unbeatable location in the heart of Munich set it apart as a destination that caters to travelers seeking a perfect balance of relaxation and exploration. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience the best of Munich in a luxurious and welcoming setting.
JJesutofunmiI had a great time in Wunderlocke. The aesthetic of the hotel was top notch and the location was also great. My only issue was that check in was 4pm which is really late considering the fact that check out is 11am. And you will have to pay an extra fee if you want to check in early 🙄. Asides that, every other thing was great.
GGuest UserThis is a decent 4-star hotel located in Garmisch. It was 7 min walk from train station. There was a kebab shop and an icecream restaurant right next to and across it. Dm drug store, supermarkets and more restaurants are within minutes of walking distance.
Breakfast was buffet-style. There were a couple of staffs at breakfast and they were amazing. They would ask what kind of coffee and eggs you like for the day, and their service was quick and polite. Choices of food was more than sufficient, with croissants and rolls, toaster available, smoked salmon, a wide variety of spreads, ham, cheese, fruit juices, vegetables, cereals, milk/skimmed milk/soy milk/oat milk, more than 10 types of tea…….
4-5 pm is tea-time. The sitting room was elegant and spacious, which makes you feel calm and at home, with some background soothing music. You can read the papers or choose a book from the shelf there.
There was also a small pool, steam and sauna, which were all delightful and relaxing, esp if it was raining and cold on some days.
My room has a balcony which faces the mountains. It was spectacular and stunning to enjoy this view at dawn and dusk.
Staffs were friendly and helpful. There was one gentleman, in shirt and tie every day ( who happened to have injured his leg and wore an orthosis and crutches to work) displayed exceptional kindness and passion in his job. He offered help and a lot suggestions spontaneously whenever I asked questions and told me “it is why I am here!”
GGuest UserFor a hotel located by the lake with a relatively high rating, I naturally expected a comfortable and reasonably spacious room with a nice lake view. However, I booked a single room and was honestly very disappointed upon entering. The room was extremely small, the bed felt cramped, and the ceiling was very low due to the sloped roof which means I couldn’t even sit upright on the bed comfortably.
Even worse, there was no proper view through the window at all. The window was tiny, making the room quite dark, and it didn’t face anything pleasant. The photos on the website were also quite misleading and did not match the actual room I received. For a room priced at around €150 per night, this kind of space and condition feels unreasonable.
To be fair, the facilities in the whole are fairly good. There is a wellness area, a gym, and a restaurant with great food and a nice view. However, the restaurant is also quite expensive, and breakfast is not included and must be paid separately. Given the pricing, I don’t think these aspects deserve excessive praise.
What really matters is the room itself. Paying €150 per night for a room of about 15 square meters, with an average ceiling height of less than 2.2 meters and a very tiny window facing other’s balcony, honestly made me feel misled. In my opinion, the room quality does not match the price at all.
WWei Ming PekFirst, I would not recommend this hotel to travelers with young children or elderly family members. The surrounding area is highly mixed and felt unsafe during our stay. Within just three nights in Munich, we personally witnessed incidents including fighting and shop theft. This created a strong sense of insecurity for us as a family traveling with young children.
Second, the bathroom design is extremely inconsiderate and poses safety risks. The raised bathroom floor becomes very slippery after the first person showers, yet no grab bars or safety features are provided. This is unacceptable for a hotel of such a well-known brand, and it is shocking that guest safety was clearly not considered during the design stage.
Third, the housekeeping service was disappointing. Despite being out since morning, our room was not cleaned when we returned in the evening. When we requested assistance just to empty the rubbish bin, the cleaner refused, claiming our room was not within their assigned work area—even though it was on the same floor. Cleaning was only carried out after we called the housekeeping hotline, which left us very disappointed with the service standard.
Overall, the experience fell far below expectations for a branded hotel, particularly in terms of safety, design consideration, and service quality.

MMonica WoongThe hotel looks new and modern, and being part of the Marriott Group, we had high expectations. Upon arrival, it felt more like a city hotel than a resort—small, with nothing particularly impressive in the daytime. Nighttime lighting is nice.
The location is okay but not lakefront. Reception is fine, the bar opens only at 5pm, and the sauna is excellent, especially the Finnish sauna with a relaxing essential oil scent, though it closes early at 8pm. The indoor pool is small, but the spa area is relaxing.
Room 124 was a corner room with a lobby parking view. Everything was modern, very clean, and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Room size is moderate but has all basics, including bathrobes, slippers, towels, and good toiletries.
Breakfast is very good for Germany, with hot dishes, a la carte options, champagne, and honeycomb. Staff are attentive and welcoming.
Parking at £19 is expensive; including it in the room rate would improve value. Overall, hospitality is good with early check-in allowed, but the hotel feels more like a 4-star city hotel than a 5-star mountain resort.
