NNaliyouxiaoyuThis hotel is located by the river, just a short walk, less than ten minutes, from Cambridge University and the shopping center. The river view rooms offer beautiful scenery, including a small park across the way. The room was clean with a lovely British style, and the bed was very comfortable. A tip for staying in UK hotels: it's best to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers, as rooms typically don't provide them. Since I brought my own, I didn't need to ask the front desk if they had any.
GGuest UserThis was the largest room I stayed in during my UK trip. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to Trinity College and King's College in Cambridge city center. The area around is very quiet, and there's a supermarket about 100 meters away, so you can buy groceries and cook your own meals. There are also fast-food burger places nearby. Transportation is very convenient; you can take bus route 1 from Cambridge train station and it drops you right at the hotel entrance. When I first checked in, I found the cleanliness a bit lacking, especially the long sofa. However, after exploring the Cambridge University area, I realized that the entire Cambridge seems to have this damp, slightly old-fashioned feel. The shower was very comfortable, and the bathroom was also super spacious.
GGuest UserThis is a very old hotel, the hotel is a bit old, but the room is large, the hotel is good, the only drawback is that there is no elevator on the second floor, but the overall stay experience is still good, the best choice for family travel, facilities are also very good!
SSah sah travelsStayed at Novotel Cambridge North recently and had a really solid experience overall. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference.
The facilities were impressively clean, especially the swimming pool and sauna - both well maintained and relaxing to use. Breakfast was more than sufficient, with a great standard full English buffet that was always topped up quickly, so nothing ever felt picked over.
Location-wise, it’s just a 4-minute walk from Cambridge North train station, which makes getting in and out incredibly easy. The connections are excellent, and having a Co-op right opposite is really convenient - especially since the hotel itself is a bit removed from other shops and amenities.
Overall, a comfortable and well-run stay, particularly if you’re travelling by train or need a quieter base just outside the city.
GGuest UserI have stayed in this hotel a few times now, and every time the receptionist Izabella has been both helpful and friendly in every transaction whether it be by telephone or in person at the desk. In an industry where this is pretty rare her consistency should be noted and is an asset to her company. The hotel itself is good. No complaints.
LLIZ LEUNG LUMSDENconvenience and comfortable. we just stayed over for one night but the staff were helpful and the location was easy to fine. the hotel is new and the room is spacious.
we will recommend.
GGuest UserMy stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The air conditioning was not working, the paint in the room was peeling, and there was visible rust on the door hinges, which made the space feel poorly maintained.
The most frustrating issue was the smoke detector going off with false alarms several times, including in the early morning. When I tried calling the front desk for assistance, no one answered, which added to the inconvenience.
Overall, this experience did not meet the standard I expect from Holiday Inn. I hope the management takes steps to address these maintenance and service issues for future guests.
JJoe2024I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The room had no heating, so it became quite cold during the night and was uncomfortable to sleep in. I requested a portable heater, but it took over an hour for one to be brought to the room. While the staff eventually helped, the long wait and lack of heating made the stay much less comfortable than expected.
MMariakayReally good experience. Breakfast is great the rooms are clean i personally don’t like the King Executive Room. Because it’s two beds with 1 topper. I had to change the room for the 2nd night. All n all friendly staff and really accommodating. Leisure amenities like jacuzzi and pool are great.
