I had a good stay at Ming Garden. The hotel was very clean, and the location is perfect for anyone needing to be near shopping mall. The staff provided excellent service, always friendly and helpful. The amenities were decent, though there’s a little room for improvement. Overall, it's a convenient and clean place to stay, especially if you love shopping!!

I really enjoyed staying at cititel. The hotel is close to the food market, business area. So we can find various food around the hotel. They don't prepare a jug of boiling water, but we can use the dispenser near the lift.

You can see the mountain from the room balcony. Will surely come back to enjoy that view again. Room was clean. The bathroom is outside (next to the balcony), so at night when you want to bath, bugs and moths will be everywhere.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hotel that exceeded my expectations in multiple ways. I was there for a week-long work trip and chose this hotel based on its competitive rates and promising reviews. I must say, my experience was nothing short of delightful, and I’m eager to share my thoughts. First and foremost, the room itself was incredibly spacious, which made my stay very comfortable. It’s rare to find such ample space in a hotel room at this price point, and it truly set the tone for a relaxing and productive week. The room was well-appointed, with all the necessary amenities to ensure a pleasant stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, allowing me to rest well after long days of meetings. One of the highlights of my room was the stunning view it offered. From my window, I had a clear view of the sea, which was both calming and inspiring. Additionally, I could see Suria Mall, a convenient location for shopping and dining. Waking up to such a beautiful sight each day was invigorating and added a touch of luxury to my stay. My room number was 705, and I would highly recommend it to future guests seeking a room with a view. The hotel staff deserve a special mention for their friendliness and professionalism. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and efficient service. The staff were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests, making me feel welcome and valued as a guest. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality enhanced my overall experience, and I am grateful for their efforts. While the hotel did not provide breakfast, this was not an issue for me. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and it gave me the opportunity to explore local cafes and restaurants. The convenience of Suria Mall being so close meant that I had a variety of choices at my disposal. Reflecting on my stay, I cannot find anything to complain about. The hotel delivered on all fronts, offering comfort, convenience, and excellent service. I have no regrets about choosing this hotel for my work trip, and it has certainly set a high standard for my future travels. Given my positive experience, I am already planning to book this hotel again for my next trip. The combination of spacious rooms, breathtaking views, and friendly staff makes it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. In conclusion, my week-long stay at this hotel was an absolute pleasure. It provided everything I needed for a successful and enjoyable trip, and I look forward to returning in the future. Whether you’re traveling for work or leisure, you’ll find that this hotel offers exceptional value and comfort.
Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu

Very clean and new. Looks like being renovated. Came here for seminar as the talk is organized inside the hotel. The location is good as it is in the center of the city. Service is good except that check in counter only have 2 and average waiting time is about 30 minutes for check in. However, maybe due to the hotel is full, our rooms are not ready when we check in at 3pm. But the hotel upgrade our room to another available unit which we will give a credit to the hotel. Breakfast is good and many variety, only the structure of the dining area is very inconvenient as the dining area too small and many corners which is not convenient to obtain the food especially for the beverage counter. The dining que line is too long due to the location where both the coffee machine are too close to each other and doesn’t not have any turning point and the coffee machine is very very slow. Suggest to change to a bigger dining area as the dining area cannot fit the number of customers especially for a seminar of 200+ people and refill is slow and we only have 1 hour lunch time where queing for food already took almost half an hour. Other than the above, I am satisfied with the hotel.

The location is very convenient to most of the good eating outlets. Also in a prime location to major shopping malls, seaside and Harbour port to go out for islands hopping. We chose a sea view facing room and the view was magnificent. Also remember to go the beach for a beautiful sunset view. Will definitely choose to stay here again

What a great, relaxing place this is! We booked our room by sending them a message in WhatsApp and had no issues. The location is around 15 km south from Kota Kinabalu airport which is great, because you get away from all the traffic noise of the city. You can hear the planes every now and then, but it is nothing like the noise in the KK center. For us the quiet surroundings were the really big thing. There are just a few sea view rooms and even when there were other customers, it was still peaceful and quiet. Sea view rooms have their own pool so most of the time it felt like having an own private pool just for us. The staff is friendly and helpful. They helped us to organise our next destination and also gave a hand when one of us got sick and needed to see a doctor. Their laundry service is great too: we gave a huge bag of laundry to them in the morning and got clean clothes back on the same day. Liza, the owner, is such a great personality and we had a great opportunity to taste a potential new sparkling wine with her. The restaurant is spacious with lovely view to the big yard and to the ocean. We liked their buffet breakfast, but on the last two morning they switched it to à la carte. For us it didn’t make a huge difference, because the food was plenty. It was pretty much the same as the buffet options but served to the table. The dinner menu has more western options than typical Malaysian restaurants. We tried spaghetti, lasagne and fish and enjoyed them all, but at the same time wished more local options. They do have surprisingly good selection of wines from all over the world. In addition to a few glasses of house wine, we ended up enjoying a bottle of Italian pinot grigio on the Valentine’s Day dinner.

The restaurant is relatively expensive compared to typical street food joints. Luckily, there is a really good local restaurant just a short walk away and we ended up eating there our last dinners. The Palm Square shopping area is just a quick Grab drive away and there you can find more local restaurants. Getting there costs 5 ringgits. Sea view rooms are clean and spacious. Shower has warm water, but sometimes it took a while to get it. Water pressure was weak but we managed with it. It is a really nice bonus that the pool is just few meters away from the room. Each room has their own decked terrace with a fan and two sunbeds. Like other have mentioned, there is a beach but it is not very good. They clean it, but the trash from the ocean piles up anyway. Annoying fact that affects so many beaches in Sabah. We spent five nights here and really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!

My husband and I spent two nights here. The queen room size is suitable for family with 2 children under 10. During our stay the tv channels had problems due to the change from analogue to digital tv. We asked for help from the maintanence and he showed up...3 times but the problem unsolved (my husband was quite upset because he wanted to watch the Malaysia Cup final between JDT and Kedah... lol). We have not tried the food because breakfast was not included in my room rate. Mini bar is not provided in room. The room and bathroom are clean. The hotel provide a newspaper every morning. The location is good even for those who come without transportation...just a few minutes walk to Imago, Craft Market and KK market

This is a very clean hotel. They are doing renovations to maintain its quality. Front desk is very helpful. Rooms a nice clean and spacious. Breakfast is not huge but you won't go away hungry. Very close to several tasty restaurants and there is a coffee shop. Very nice mountain view at cafe level 6.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the check-in and check-out process was super quick. The location is excellent. It's within walking distance of Imago, with stores and restaurants outside the hotel. The room was great. I have to say the bathroom area is spacious, but the doors are a little weird. The room was clean, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. We also had the Saturday night buffet. It so happened that the buffet was busy that night, and I think they could have prepared better, but overall, the food was fantastic! Highly recommended.
