A bit outdated and not in the best shape that the 4 stars would suggest, but still comfortable enough and with very good location - and also very reasonably priced. Not far from a metro station, the old and new centers are easily reachable by bus or Uber… I’m glad I chose it and I would book it probably again.
To start it off right I didn’t think my trip included free breakfast until I arrived and the lady at front desk told me! I was excited about the free food. I loved everything about the hotel and the food was on point and the hotel is very clean. The only thing that worried me is the was the quietness where my room was, it made us overthink a little but that didn’t stop anything we still enjoyed it. I loved all the amenities and the staff was very nice. I would definitely book again if I visit again
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. The room was spacious and comfortable with a balcony overlooking nature. It had a lovely pool and a nice spot for an outdoor cocktail.
The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly.
We were very close to Soberania National Park and the Panama Canal. We were very satisfied with our stay.
I've been traveling often to Panama, and Decapolis Hotel has been one of my favorites for years now.
A shopping mall upfront with many outlet shops of big brands and the Pattilla Hospital just meters away (in case of any medical issues).
A friendly and professional staff, a very good breakfast, a Great SPA with sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, and fantastic treatments, outdoor pool, and gym on the same floor.
Big spacious rooms ( We were upgraded to a Junior suite this time, courtesy of the management)
A very easy access to all neighborhoods, districts, and routes in Panama.
The location is close to the sea, there is no subway station nearby, and you can go to the attractions mainly by taxi, which usually costs 3-6 US dollars per time; breakfast is from 6 to 10 o'clock. The environment is pretty good, and the service is average.

At first when we arrived for check in ,they couldn't find our reservation, we had to wait for the receptionist to get on to the manager and sort out the issue , while we waitied we got complementary breakfast ,which was not included in our reservation, this i was very pleased with .. After breakfast we got our room and i must say very clean , spacious n comfortable room .. The staff was so nice and friendly, especially the girl worker .. will definitely recommend..
The hotel is generally good, the rooms are adequate (especially for working) although over time some amenities have been removed (fridge, armchair, luggage rack)...
However, there's a major problem with humidity and a musty smell (coming from the air conditioning) due to poorly maintained carpeting in the common areas and rooms. This carpeting should be removed, but the hotel prefers to install a dehumidifier, which isn't sufficient and, over the years, will end up costing more due to the increased electricity bill. The room service is adequate for what's provided, but it would be improved with daily vacuuming, something that was done in previous years. I'm a regular guest at this hotel. Breakfast was quite decent for the price, but there was only coffee and tea, so no hot chocolate for the children. The staff were fairly responsive in case of repairs. The pool was well-maintained, but the gym was practically abandoned, which was a shame because it had potential. It wouldn't take much to bring it up to date with just a good cleaning.

Very Good
SStubbornTravelI was surprised to see this quality in a Crowne Plaza hotel. There was nothing totally terrible, but I would definitely not stay here again.
The detailed version:
Airport shuttle: If you are an airport hotel advertising a free hotel shuttle, I think you should assume a good proportion of people staying there expect it to be easy to get to and from the airport. However it is near impossible to get information about it until you are at the hotel. I emailed twice the week before arriving (no reply) and called them over ten times over two different days to try get information (no answer). Finally the day of flying someone answers and just says that you go outside of the terminal and a shuttle will be there. There are no signs, no timetable, nothing. I called again once we actually got to Panama and was told it comes at 25 past the hour from door 17. I was lucky that my partner saw it by chance on the other side of the street at door 14. At the hotel, there is a printed timetable. Why not put this on the website or share it in the confirmation message?? Or at least tell people when they call? Once there, it was no problem taking it back to the airport, there's a timetable by reception. It runs around once every hour.
Gym: was very good for a hotel, not amazing but it was clean and with a varied selection of machines, mats, medicine balls, resistance bands and weights. I was impressed.
Breakfast: nothing to write home about but a lot of variety: scrambled eggs, cereals, sausages, cheeses, rice, empanadas, breads etc. But a lot of stuff was missing signs. The 'corn empanadas' were full of beef, which seems misleading.
Restaurant: didn't use it because the selection is very limited if you're a vegetarian (I think there was one vegetarian dish). It also seemed quite expensive, I guess that's normal for a restaurant hotel, but the quality didn't look to match.
Room: large and spacious with a comfortable bed, coffee machine and TV. But there was a very weird smell, it was damp and the Aircon looked like it was from the 70s (and sounded that way too).
Bathroom: again OK. The shampoos/conditioners etc seem to be the wrong size for the set brackets on the wall, which makes them very uncomfortable to use, as you can only press down around .5 cm.
We didn't use the pool so can't comment. As I said nothing really terrible but a frustrating experience and a surprise this is within the Crowne Plaza brand. I will personally not stay again.
LLois CowartIt started out nice because they allowed us to check in early. Once he started the process, I let him know that we preferred the king size bed as my reservation was for a ”standard room with 2 double beds or a king bed”. That was when I started getting disappointed as he said it would be an extra charge of $25 for the king bed. I questioned why and was told that my reservation was for a standard room and it was extra for a king bed. I showed him what it said but he insisted it was extra. My husband just wanted to get checked in, so he paid for it with his credit card.
We were very satisfied with our room as it was nice and clean and on the bottom floor. The TV would not play any channels of any kind so we couldn't even have that on for entertainment. We went out to the pool area only to find out that the poolside bar was closed and would not be opened during our stay. (05/05/2025). When I choose a place to stay, I expect to be able to enjoy the amenities listed. It did not list anything about being a low season or that the poolside bar would be closed. We had been looking forward to lounging in the pool while having cocktails. We're went inside to the bar and had to look around to find someone to get us drinks. Later on, we did have a very nice dinner in the restaurant with good service.
We had to leave early in the morning and it was great to have shuttle service available and ready to take us to the airport. The driver was very efficient and safe.
I did talk to the front desk about the extra $25 charge because I still felt that we should not have been charged extra. He was very apologetic and understood my point but could only give me a card with a number to call. Overall it is a beautiful property and the rooms are comfortable.

MMayur JadhavBig pool… small rooms.. big gym.. good breakfast.. will definitely come and stay here again.. location is good and just opposite to big liquor store if you are fond of alcohol & wine..
GGuest UserRoom was nice and comfortable though carpet had not been vacuumed in a long time.
Had a massage at the spa. Extremely disorganized and inexperienced massuese. With 30 minutes notice of my arrival there were no towels or robes ready. She kept bringing things one at a time even while i waz naked getting into the shower- bath mat, then robe, then robe belt, then towel, then slippers. I told her i just want back massage and done strong but i had to keep telling her where to rub and to be stronger.
Other than that the facility was nice
I used on line booking to book one day, then two more days then three more days. I always book for two but om the last three days something went wrong and somehow got booked only 1 person. Desk attendant told me $55 a day to change to two person. I think the app which i didn’t use the first two times defaulted to kne person and i didn’t have a chance to select two person
It waa extremely difficult to get a drink at the bar.
I did manage to get a drink at the bar then moved to a table. When i got the bill for items at the tae, the drink i had already paid for was on the bill. The waitress corrected it, thankfui had the bar receipt in my pocket
GGuest UserStayed 2 nights, hotel and room normal. In front of the hotel there is Av. Balboa, busy day and night, so you can hear a bit of noise.
During our stay there was construction work behind the hotel, so the pool (which is small for those who want to swim 7/7 m) is not nice to use because of the loud noise. The breakfast does not offer much choice and with products not at the level of a hotel of this rating. For the price I paid the quality/price ratio was OK, but I saw that it can also cost up to CHF 50.00 more per night. We will return to Panama City at the end of our tour of the country, but not to the Méridien.
Kind and competent staff, good WI-FI.

BBaqishizuzhuHotel design, cleanliness and location. The hotel is conveniently located in the financial district with many dining options nearby, suitable for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel's rooftop pool and gym are popular with guests, providing a nice view of the city.
QQiang AngelThis is my second time staying here. The location is good, in the financial district of Panama, and convenient to everything. The hotel is clean and hygienic, and the American breakfast is good, but there is no bottled water in the room.
