We spent the first two days of our trip staying in town at Sa Pa, and for the next two nights we moved slightly out of town to Hotel DeLaMont. The hotel is located about a 10-minute drive from the town center, perched high on a hill overlooking the valley. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was precisely for that spectacular valley view, which is said to be among the best in Sa Pa.
Unfortunately, during our stay, the weather fully lived up to Sa Pa’s nickname as the “City in the Fog.” Thick fog rolled in every day, and visibility was sometimes close to zero—especially on the darker roads without streetlights while our Grab drivers navigated the winding hills. Thankfully, on the morning of our final day, the clouds finally lifted a little and we were blessed with a partial glimpse of the breathtaking valley view we had been hoping for.
Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was essentially two super single beds pushed together, which meant you could feel the gap in the middle while sleeping. It’s not the most comfortable setup, but still manageable for a short stay. The minibar follows the usual hotel practice—aside from complimentary water, tea, and coffee, the rest of the items are chargeable.
One thing we appreciated was the smart TV. We spent some relaxing time listening to music and watching travel videos on YouTube after long days exploring Sa Pa.
The bathroom was clean and equipped with a modern electric shower system, which was quite impressive. They even installed a heated lamp to keep you warm while showering—something you’ll definitely appreciate in the chilly Sa Pa climate. However, the wash basin design could be improved. Water tends to collect around the sides, leaving the surface constantly wet, and occasionally attracting small bugs.
The hotel doesn’t include breakfast by default, but you can pay extra if you’d like the convenience of eating on-site. It’s not the cheapest option, but it’s certainly convenient. The hotel also offers facilities like a gym and a swimming pool. The pool is supposed to be heated, but during our visit the weather was extremely foggy and humid, so the heating was turned off and swimming wasn’t really appealing anyway.
Their rooftop area is quite beautiful and would probably be an amazing place to enjoy the valley view on a clear day.
Overall, despite the foggy weather limiting the scenery, Hotel DeLaMont is still a comfortable and decent hotel with spacious rooms and good facilities. On a clear day, the view alone would likely make the stay even more memorable.
Stayed one night at KK Sapa Hotel. We were dropped off at the back of the KK Sapa hotel at level 15. Without knowing the hotel reception lobby was on the first floor. The view from level 15 is amazing as we can see the whole Fansipan view when it is clear. We checked in at level 1 but were told to come back by 2pm. They welcomed us with warm tea. The lobby is spacious with a cosy sofa. The room given to us was at level 14 and directly facing the Fansipan view. Opposite my room was the indoor swimming pool and gym. The room is spacious and very cosy. Strong shower pressure. Strong wifi connection. Cosy beds and a huge tv with lots of TV channels. The hotel itself is walkable to the Sapa town via level 15. We took about 15mins slow walk to reach Sapa city with most of the journey on a flat road. But the road is very narrowed as two cars passing each other making pedestrians walk almost non-existent. We pretty much enjoyed our stay at this hotel . I will definitely recommend staying at this hote.l
Generally hotel standard is below the standard of a 4 star hotel
Location is not very good and quite far from the town centre about 30 minutes walk
HOTEL room is very big for single occupancy
Hotel amenities were in quite bad. The swimming pool is closed and the bar is closed as well.
Rooms were clean.
Service is satisfactory and the reception does not speak English.
Pao’s Sapa Leisure Hotel – Excellent Location & Outstanding Staff
I recently stayed at Pao Sapa Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent—right beside Moana Sapa and just a few kilometers from Cat Cat Village, making sightseeing very convenient. The town is also within walking distance from the hotel. The room was spacious with a beautiful valley view, and the breakfast was delicious.
The language barrier can be challenging, but the reception staff always have someone who speaks English. Katie, in particular, was extremely helpful. She assisted us with planning our Fansipan trip and booking tickets, and the hotel staff maintain a group chat to update guests on peak weather conditions, which is very useful.
During our stay, the air conditioning wasn’t working and the room became humid after a long day out. Communication was difficult at first, but Katie responded to our message even after office hours and helped resolve the issue, allowing us to rest comfortably.
Kudos to Katie and the team for their dedication and excellent service. I highly recommend Pao’s Sapa Leisure Hotel for its prime location, spacious rooms, and outstanding staff support.
The location is good. It's by the Red River and it's strategically located less than 1km away from the Chinese-Vietnamese border. There're many convenience stores, restaurants, and coffee shops which make it very convenient.
The room is spacious and clean. The staff, although not very proficient in English, did try their best to communicate with me.
The limited breakfast options is the only ”wish could be better” for me but this is more than made up for by just how cheap their room rates are!
As a business traveler, this hotel goes on my list of preferred vendors.
The location is beautiful, about 30 minutes from the center of Sapa. We preferred this place for its tranquility and authenticity. Grab taxis are available for around 8€ to get to Sapa.
Regarding the room, it's very basic. The cleanliness was average; it could have been better. Be aware that there are many insects since it's in the countryside! Also, the rooms are poorly insulated and lack privacy. In the morning, you'll be woken up around 5/6 AM at dawn!!
Otherwise, the hotel restaurant is excellent, we absolutely loved it 😍 here are the photos. The prices were very reasonable, which saves you from having to go elsewhere.
The staff is very kind.
Great hotel. Good location. Very clean. We had a quiet room on the third floor. The window did not have a view of anything except a wall which was fine as we didn't stay in the room much. There was a lot of variety for breakfast and the view front the pool was amazing. The gym was a good size. It needed dumbells heavier than 10kg though but a good gym hotel with lots of room. Service was excellent. Would definitely stay here again!
We had an amazing stay at Pistachio Hotel & Spa in Sapa! The experience was truly elevated thanks to Miss Chung from customer service. She was incredibly patient, taking the time to clearly explain and guide us on how to get to nearby attractions, which made our trip so much smoother and enjoyable.
On top of that, she thoughtfully arranged a high-floor room with a stunning mountain view for us — waking up to that scenery was unforgettable!
Her warm hospitality and attention to detail really made a difference. Highly recommend this hotel, and a big thank you to Miss Chung for going above and beyond to make our stay special!
I was so tired after traveling from Hanoi to Sapa, so I really appreciated being allowed to check in early. The staff explained everything very well in English, and the breakfast was delicious. I even had lunch there because I was too lazy to go out, and the fried rice was incredibly good! The outdoor heated pool is nice for swimming, but since it's winter, it gets cold if you just stand around.
Very Good

Amazing
HHeyarhgraciesThis place is amazing. They stay true to their words - to be eco-friendly and reduce wastage. Nam and his team were very helpful and Nam is exceptionally attentive to our needs. The room is exactly the same as the photos on Trip.com and we received a pleasant surprise with a beautifully decorated bed when they know that it’s our wedding anniversary.
The common area has a fireplace where guests can gather around and have small conversations. The food and drinks (including cocktails) were so good that almost every day we would rather stay at the resort to have our meals. Nam makes great cocktails!
Lastly, there is a resident dog, as well as a cat. Both are adorable and love to be around people. Our stay with Eco Palm House is amazing. Great place, great view, and great people! We will certainly recommend to our family and friends. Hope we are also able to visit and stay here again!
TTototunVery artsy hotel with art deco(?) details and style. Surprisingly, this hotel was built not so long ago. The decor had me fooled. haha. Room was pretty small, my room type had inward facing balcony with glass sliding doors. Pretty annoying as guests walking the elevator corridor could see into your rooms. Welcome drink was a hot choco! Breakfast hall was huge and pretty, with varied options. Tasted so-so tho (pretty disappointed with the taste, but the view and the interior was eye-pleasing so there's that). Coffee was good as always (you're in Vietnam!). Tried out their bar (Absinthe), which was listed as 'award-winning' or Asia's Top XX Bar (forget by which platform) to be disappointed with the drink collection. Cocktails were subpar at best. The hotel offers discounted VIP pass tickets to the Sunworld Fansipan area, you can purchase it at the front desk. Indoor pool was pretty but very humid (its a warm water pool). Directly connected to the Sapa Station, near shops and eateries. Pretty far from the actual Sapa market (Cho) and the lake. Overall an ok stay.

YYeh YI would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Sapa Passion Hotel and Spa. They say they aim to provide “a home away from home,” and they truly delivered on that promise.
From the moment we arrived in Sapa early in the morning, the staff kindly allowed us to check in early. After an overnight sleeper train, being able to rest a little before exploring Sapa was such a blessing. As soon as we entered the room, we were amazed by its spaciousness and cleanliness, and the clear view of the lake from our window was simply beautiful.
The receptionist also suggested several local activities for us, and although we couldn’t join due to the weather, we truly appreciated her thoughtful recommendations.
On our departure day, we took a night bus out of Sapa, and the hotel generously let us use their bathroom to freshen up before our journey. It made our departure so much more comfortable.
We felt genuinely cared for during our entire stay, and I sincerely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sapa.
Jjeaniosityhotel was beautiful. great view, spacious. had a fireplace, complimentary bottle of wine, bathtubs. not hard to get to city centre and there is a buggy service for transport within the resort. we had a great time!
DDeeeeengdongIt’s quite far from the downtown area, and the road has a lot of steep slopes, so walking from the city center to the hotel is difficult.
However, it’s close to Cat Cat Village, making it easy to visit on foot, and you can even see part of the village from the hotel. ^^
I looked at all the hotels in Sapa with a swimming pool, and this one is definitely in the top three.
I also liked that they have shower facilities available after swimming or even after check-in/check-out.

HHazyzPros
- Smooth liaising with the hotel through WhatsApp/instagram & trip.com itself even before our trip, very responsive & helpful in answering our queries & concerns
- We arrived in Sapa early in the morning & appreciate that we're able to check in early
- The room was very clean & cozy
- Friendly receptionist that catered to our needs
- Excellent service with morning call & offer for bellboy service to carry our luggages up to the lobby when we had to check out much earlier
- Room cleanup service was quick but also unexpected, as we went for breakfast & came back to a cleaned room. It would be nice if laxsik had a door tag for us to indicate if we wanted 'room service' or not
- We had to check out quite early in the morning, laxsik offered to give us a complete set of takeaway breakfast with fruits, sandwiches & bottled water
Cons
- We stayed in the family bungalow with 2 bedrooms & bathrooms, there was no shower gel for one of the rooms & no conditioner for the other room, it would be great if both rooms had the same amenities
- Some tiles on the bathroom ceiling of house 10 were not intact completely hence it felt unsafe & cold air seeped in which turned the bathroom very chilly
Overall we had a pleasant stay at laxsik despite the view being blocked by the fog for most of our stay, the accommodations made up for it. Do take note that it is a 10-15mins drive to Sapa town so expect to pay 200,000 vnd for a taxi. The receptionist will help you book a driver if you aren't able to get a Grab from accommodations to town. Getting Grab from Sapa town to the accommodations was quite easy. The fireplace in the lodge is highly recommended if you are staying during the cold season! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and warmed our hearts and bodies.
GGuest UserFrom the moment I arrived, this hotel exceeded all my expectations from luxurious rooms, elegant décor, plush bedding, and calming tones made for a perfect retreat. The room was spotlessly clean and the view from the balcony was speechless. Well-equipped wellness amenities, a serene spa with hot and cold jacuzzi, a huge steam room, sauna and a refreshing heated swimming pool over looking the mountains.
What truly set this stay apart was the hotel’s client ambassador Ms Alissa, a genuinely attentive professional who acted like a personal concierge throughout my stay who provides proactive updates on local tourist conditions and attend to my needs be it arranging for high tea and booking of spa services. Each day, I received timely briefings on weather patterns and conditions at nearby tourist spots. This insightful information helped me plan my outings with confidence. Last but not least, the GM, Steven Tan was so warm, ensuring the guest are comfortable during breakfast time. He is from Singapore by the way and had been running the resort for 8 years. Great job Steven!!
My overall experience (Excellent)
The hotel’s ambiance was welcoming and polished striking the ideal balance between luxury and comfort. The facilities made it easy to unwind, stay active, and explore the tourist place with confidence. The client ambassador’s attentive, almost personal-concierge approach elevated the stay from excellent to unforgettable. I left with wonderful memories and a strong sense of having experienced truly thoughtful hospitality and will surely come back again later this year to explore places that I have did not visit.
