You absolutely must call ahead to this restaurant and have the owner start cooking it first!! We were inexperienced and only ordered when we arrived, waiting a full forty minutes, starving 😅 But the taste was truly worth it. When the signature stew pot arrived, the aroma immediately filled our noses, and the meat was stewed until it fell off the bone; it practically melted in your mouth with chopsticks. If you go, don't do what we did; remember to make a reservation in advance, otherwise, the wait will make you question your existence, haha.
This flaming drunken goose is really good. Our family of three ordered one serving, and the portion was just right. The goose meat is stir-fried over a fire right in front of us, which is quite interesting to watch; the kids were completely captivated. The meat is stewed until very tender, and the sauce is rich and flavorful. My child ate two bowls of rice with it. Remember to make a reservation in advance if you want to go. We went on a Saturday at noon and almost didn't get a table; we had to wait a while before being seated. Oh, and bring wet wipes, as your hands will be a bit oily after eating.
The lobby lighting was just right, neither too bright nor too dim, and the tables were spaced far enough apart that you couldn't hear conversations from next door. The decor was interesting, not the kind of overly trendy, cluttered feel you'd find online. The background music was at a comfortable volume, not drowning out conversations. I brought my parents here once, and they sat comfortably. It's suitable for two or three families to meet for a casual meal; too relaxing for business meetings.
