Dayutou888: On our trip to Baishi Mountain, we decided to stay one night in Baoding on our way back and chose the Fanjia Hotel. First off, the price was great, the location was convenient, parking was easy, and there were plenty of dining options nearby. We were pleasantly surprised when they upgraded our room because we had a child with us, which was fantastic! The breakfast had a rich variety of options, the room was clean and hygienic, and the hot water was plentiful, making for a comfortable shower. They also provided us with many bottles of water, which was wonderful. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Baoding.

Guest User: The hotel staffs are very helpful and professional. The most pity thing is a breakfast. When I visited the restaurant, there were so many people there. So, retuned to the room, and revisited the restaurant after 9:00. What I was so surprised is that many restaurant staffs are trying to prepare to close the restaurant after 9:30 even though there are still many guests in the restaurant. Many of the foods are already run out or cleaned out of the restaurant. It was really uncomfortable even though they mentioned that the restaurant is available until 10:00. I had to eat breakfast so in a hurry to help them clean up the restaurant. I hope they start the process of closing the restaurant after all the guests have left the restaurant.

Guest User: During the May Day holiday, I decided to travel on short notice. I looked at all the hotels in the center of Baoding and finally decided on this one. It was a pleasant surprise when I arrived. The hotel lobby is very grand, and the roast duck in Xingfu Li next to it is also good. We went there too late and didn't get to eat the roast duck... The hotel has free parking, which is very friendly to car owners. The new Chinese-style room is very unique, and the washbasin, toilet and bathroom are separated, so they don't disturb each other. The service lady on the first floor was very kind and poured hot water for us. In short, the experience was very good. I will stay here again next time I go to Baoding!

I drove to Zhuozhou for a day trip during the National Day holiday 🚗. Among the places I visited, the Stone Art Museum 🏛️ was the most unexpected surprise. It's near the Gao Family Courtyard and the Zhuozhou Film Museum, so you can easily stop by while you're in the area. The Zhuozhou Stone Art Museum 🪨 has two exhibition halls: Hall 1 and the Special Boutique Hall. Hall 1 is free 🆓; you can just make a reservation at the entrance to enter. The stone artworks on display include stone cross-section paintings 🌠, which use the natural patterns and color variations of the stones to form pictures. There are also objects created based on the resemblance of the stones' shapes, such as pork belly, a dictionary 📗, almonds, grapes 🍇, dumplings 🥟, buns, eggs 🥚, and more—they are all incredibly lifelike. The Special Boutique Hall is a paid 💰 exhibition hall. I visited Bailixia during the National Day holiday, and it felt completely different from summer. We left Beijing in the morning and arrived in about two hours. I recommend not sleeping in; if you arrive around 7 am, there's still parking available, but by 9 or 10 am, the cars are lined up outside. The canyon in October already had a touch of autumn; the mountains were a mix of yellow and red, with steep, rocky cliffs on either side, making for beautiful photos from every angle. The key was the coolness. While the sun was blazing outside, a gentle breeze once you entered the valley was incredibly refreshing. It got a bit chilly after walking for a while, so bringing a light jacket was definitely a good idea. We entered through Haitangyu and exited through Shixuanxia. There were streams along the way, but the stone paths were a bit slippery, so wear non-slip shoes. The narrowest part of Yixiantian (One Line Sky) requires you to squeeze sideways to get through; it gets crowded during the National Day holiday, so don't stand there endlessly if you want to take photos. The Heavenly Ladder steps are quite strenuous, so I took the cable car up (50 yuan one way), which saved me the effort. There's a high-altitude bicycle show at the summit in the afternoon; if you happen to catch it, just take a quick look—it's quite thrilling. A leisurely stroll through the entire area takes three or four hours without getting tired. Things tend to be more expensive during holidays, so bring your own water and snacks. Anyway, if you're looking for a place that's not too sunny during the National Day holiday, where you can stroll around and enjoy autumn scenery, Bailixia is a good option, but you should go early.
