The two of us leisurely ate until closing time, and the owner didn't rush us to leave. The pork intestines were cleaned very well, but they were occasionally a bit salty, so you had to eat them with rice. After adding vegetables, the soup base became less flavorful, but that actually made it less heavy to drink. Sitting by the window watching the streetlights come on outside was very relaxing.
This Sichuan restaurant is easy to find; there's parking right in front, so you don't have to drive around. The environment is quite clean, not one of those greasy, hole-in-the-wall places. As for the taste, it's that familiar Sichuan flavor—not bad, but not particularly amazing either. Anyway, you can't go wrong here when you're craving spicy food.
There are tons of fish hotpot restaurants around here, but this one is one of the more honest ones I've found recently. The fish is freshly killed, and the meat is incredibly tender, unlike frozen fish. Honestly, the portion size for two people was so large that we two grown men were stuffed and still couldn't finish it; we even had to take some home. And the free drinks, although just regular soda, were generous; I appreciated that.
