Jiuzhaigou is beautiful! The blue of Jiuzhaigou is absolutely stunning 🌸 Huanglong's Five-Colored Pool is truly beautiful ☘️

#On May 18th, I flew to Chengdu, then transferred to the high-speed train to Huanglong Station. I stayed one night.

The next day, I hired a car to visit Huanglong's Five-Colored Pool and Jiuzhaigou.

Took the kids shopping at Taikoo Li this weekend, and when we got near Chunxi Road, our stomachs started growling~ Suddenly, I remembered the Yulin Chuanchuanxiang that our parents' generation loves!
Old-school Chengdu locals know that you have to make time for this classic flavor that's been around for decades! Every time friends from out of town visit, I take them to that original shop in Yulin, but I didn't realize this location near Chunxi Road has been open for 10 years too!
The interior is decorated in a classic, antique style. It's spacious with two floors, so it doesn't feel crowded. The atmosphere is lively but not noisy—it has that down-to-earth, old-school vibe where you can just sit back and relax~
Next time I bring friends from out of town, I'll definitely choose this spot, and we can swing by Taikoo Li and Chunxi Road afterward. Perfect!
🔥 There are plenty of broth options. Since we brought the kids, we naturally went for the split pot (yuan-yang). The kids loved the rich, non-spicy tomato broth, while the red spicy broth was fragrant without being overwhelming. The adults could enjoy the spicy pot, and the kids could eat from the tomato one.
🥬 The food is super fresh! Everything in the refrigerated display is neatly arranged, and the skewers are visibly clean. The crunchy chicken cartilage and tender duck blood are great—and there are wild vegetables too; if you like trying new things, give the gynostemma leaves a try.
The house-made drinks are all pretty good. The kids loved the mango ice, and my partner and I tried the passion fruit and lemon ones—they're especially good for cooling down the spice.
📸 Photo op: The old-fashioned sign at the entrance is great for photos; anything you snap there looks retro and full of local charm~
📍 Nearby attractions:
This restaurant is right across from Chunxi Road. Just cross the pedestrian bridge to get there and soak in the atmosphere of this century-old commercial street.
After walking through Chunxi Road, you can head to IFS to check out the climbing panda 🐼.
Then, keep strolling all the way to Taikoo Li. Don't miss the thousand-year-old Daci Temple—it's a must-visit for me every time I go shopping.
