The owner was very helpful; when we ordered, she proactively recommended Hani wild vegetables, saying they were a local specialty. We tried them and confirmed we'd never had them before—the taste was quite unique. They even gave us a complimentary plate of cut fruit after we paid, which was a nice touch.
This eel dish has a really rich, savory sauce, and they even added a touch of mint for extra flavor. A big plate is only 40 yuan, enough for two or three people. I suggest you go early, as they might sell out if you go too late.
The purple rice and chicken oil flavor was indeed quite strong, and the chicken meat was firm. However, not many locals around here eat this. Their purple rice was cooked just right, with a bit of crispy rice at the bottom.
