Dutch Square is the iconic historical landmark in Malacca town area, just opposite the Jonker Street. This famous tourist hotspot is featuring the Stadthuys, Queen Victoria's Fountain, Tan Beng Swee Clock Tower & Christ Church Melaka.

The Holland Square was built between 1641 and 1660 and is considered the oldest Dutch building in Asia. The Red House was built by the Dutch government at the time, using red bricks specially shipped from the Netherlands, so it is commonly known as the Red House. The Red House was originally built as a church, later became a municipal office building and is now a museum. The square has an ancient Christian church built in 1753, a red bell tower built in 1886, and a magnificent European-style classical Victorian fountain built to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Queen Victoria's accession to the throne. There are rickshaws to receive tourists shopping, to nearby attractions within easy reach.

The heart of melaka town is at the red square where all the buildings are painted red. Many tourists attractions are situated here eg St Paul Hill. Take a trishaw ride to explore the area.
