The Grand Mosque of Lyon is located in the eastern suburbs, about 5 km from the peninsula. The building combines traditional North African architecture, calligraphy and modern Western style.

The undressed enter, the women in the prayer hall are forbidden, and the tour is free, but the hall cannot be entered, except of course you are a Muslim.
