The Shwedagon Pagoda is the largest in Irrawaddy Province and is a pilgrimage site in the Irrawaddy region. It is similar to the famous Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, but is built more ancient. The tower body is rumored to be founded by the Indian Ashoka in 305 BC. Myanmar's royal families, including the Bagan Dynasty, gradually increased it. The tower height is 47 meters.
