Melbourne's St Paul's Cathedral (also known as St Peter's Cathedral) is located in the heart of Melbourne, built in 1891, one of the city's famous buildings, and the church's three towering minarets are particularly eye-catching in the modern buildings surrounding it. It is a large Catholic church in Melbourne and the larger in the southern hemisphere. This Gothic-style cathedral, mostly built in bluestone, was designed by the famous British architect Hua Xuan. The church was officially opened in October 1897, but the three minarets were not completed until 1939. Free attractions, worth visiting.
