This is a large space separated into smaller spaces for both privacy and to add to the old fashioned romantic feel. We were able to get a table by the window which provided the added pleasure of watching the people on St. Paul St. in Old Montreal. This alone made for a great evening, but the drinks, the food, and in particular our server (Anna), made this meal really special. By the time the evening was over, we became fast friends. I had the NY Strip steak ($28), at her suggestion and was pleased with both the flavor and the perfect medium rare cook. It came with garlic mashed potatoes, which were excellent and not too garlicy, along with steamed broccoli and cauliflower, both of which were very good. My wifed and I both had Caesar salads ($7) which were also delicious, and she had grilled chicken with a lemon sauce ($23) that she said may have been the best chicken she'd ever had. Her accompaniments were the same as mine. We tried some of their cocktails (I had the Gentleman Jack Old Fashioned) and she had a Cosmopolitan. Both were superb. This was a wonderful meal, in a wonderful setting, with a wonderful server--need I say more?
