Romantic Hotels in Sichuan, China

My first visit to Chengdu was over 10 years ago. Back then, it was a city recovering, with an older appearance and a smaller downtown area. Now, it's a huge, constantly growing and developing metropolis. This apartment hotel is pretty much in the city center, just two subway stops from popular spots like Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li. It's clean, tidy, and the service is great. The studio apartment is well-equipped, and it's quiet at night, which is perfect for sleeping. The value for money is excellent – I definitely recommend it!

I had just reached the hotel entrance when a front desk staff member immediately stood up, smiled, and greeted me, helping me carry my luggage and smoothly processing the check-in procedure without making me wait even a single minute. Even more thoughtful was that, during the waiting period for the formalities, the front desk staff specially prepared a glass of refreshing hibiscus tea for me. Drinking it in the hot weather instantly alleviated the discomfort from the journey. Once inside the room, I was very satisfied with the overall conditions. The room was spacious enough to avoid any sense of confinement, the decoration style was simple and elegant, although not overly luxurious, it was still cozy, and every corner was meticulously cleaned, making the stay extremely comfortable.

Environment: The environment is good. The surrounding area is also nice. Service: The service was excellent, warm and thoughtful. It's very close to the Panda Base. ”Luggage Delivery” Luggage sent to the airport/high-speed rail/same-city hotel: Very thoughtful and convenient.

Apologies, I promised the owner I'd leave a review sooner, but I completely forgot once I returned to Chengdu. The hotel is nestled deep within the Bifengxia scenic area, a high-end guesthouse that beautifully blends old structures with newly built sections. We stayed in the 'Fuyao Zhi' room (pictured in the second image), which I believe is part of the newer section and incredibly stylish. The large windows offer stunning views of distant mountains and another traditional residence. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including various indoor activities (like calligraphy copying and tea ceremonies) and an outdoor forest activity space surrounded by tea gardens (featuring treehouses, trampolines, etc.). The front area also offers outdoor activities such as bonfires, barbecues, and karaoke. All the staff, especially the guy at the front desk in the burgundy sweater, were incredibly enthusiastic. The housekeeping was also meticulously done. The young man with glasses who handled our transfers to and from the Bifengxia scenic area was incredibly punctual. It's clear that both the staff and the owner put a tremendous amount of effort and passion into their guests and the guesthouse, which was the most impressive aspect for me. While the overall price point is on the higher side for Bifengxia, the experience was absolutely outstanding. I can honestly say that this stay elevated the joy and comfort of our entire Bifengxia trip.

Cleanliness: The hotel's cleanliness was impeccable. Every corner of the room was spotless, the floors were dust-free, and the bathrooms were stain-free. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The overall environment was fresh and tidy, with no clutter whatsoever. I couldn't find a single fault with the hygiene. Amenities: The room was equipped with an intelligent 'Xiaodu' speaker, allowing for easy voice control of the curtains and air conditioning. It was smart and convenient. The high-definition projector offered excellent clarity, and free iQIYI VIP access made for a truly enjoyable movie experience in the evenings. Location: The location was excellent, right next to the Dujiangyan scenic area, just a few minutes' drive away. It was incredibly convenient for travel and sightseeing – truly an unbeatable location. Service: All the staff were exceptionally welcoming, providing warm and attentive service. They were gentle and polite, proactively offering assistance to guests. The check-in experience was especially heartwarming. Parking: There's free parking both above and underground, with plenty of spaces available. It was incredibly hassle-free for those driving, making it perfect for family road trips.

The stay in this hotel is comfortable and rooms are relatively quiet. Most of the noise comes from other guests talking loudly along the hallway, but fortunately, not excessively. The room size is very spacious with a huge bathtub in the room. It would be great if there was a hook or hanger to hang the bath towel near the tub and also an extra bath mat for the tub. I liked having a washlet in the toilet and the shower has good water pressure as well. The only issue is that the room I had seems to be a smoking room (although I had booked a non-smoking room) as I could smell lingering cigarette smoke and there was also an ashtray on the table. The most commendable part was the staff. Extremely helpful service when we had to check in and drop our luggage in a hurry to meet our guide, and the lady staff walked us out onto the street to catch a taxi and communicated to the driver where we were supposed to go. Sorry I forgot to ask for her name but I really appreciate her helpfulness!! Breakfast was included in the room and it was mostly local Sichuan dishes. Plus point on staying here is also the proximity to the train station and there's plenty of food options around.

Booked a double e-sports room for a date. The side-by-side gaming chairs were super sweet, perfect for playing games together or binging shows. The room's air freshener was pleasant and not overpowering. The hotel's decor was warm and inviting, not like a cold, typical e-sports venue, which really boosted the romantic atmosphere. A must-stay for couples, it's incredibly sweet!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐A truly five-star review! My stay at the Chengdu Kapok Hotel was excellent, and I want to give a special shout-out to Bella at the front desk. Check-in was super fast, and she handled everything smoothly and politely. I wasn't sure about local dining spots or transportation, and she effortlessly recommended some affordable restaurants nearby and convenient transport options, without being pushy at all. Later, when I had a small question about the room, she responded quickly and resolved it perfectly. The hotel itself was clean and tidy throughout, but it was the staff's attentive service that made my stay so comfortable. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chengdu.

Location: It's conveniently located near Chunxi Road and Jinjiang River, making it easy to get around. Price: The average price for a night was around 600-700 [currency units].

Pros: The mattress was very soft, and the entire room was smart-controlled. There was also a water dispenser, a bathtub, and a projector. The elevator card only granted access to my room's floor, and food deliveries were brought by a robot, which made me feel very secure. The hotel's location is also very convenient, close to Chunxi Road, and easily accessible by shared bike. The front desk added me on WeChat, so I could contact them with any questions, which was very convenient. Cons: The curtains weren't blackout, and the complimentary bathtub liner was too small for the tub in the room. I'd recommend guests buy their own bathtub liners in advance.
