Ocean View Hotels in Yunnan, China

The hotel is at the sixth floor of a building inside a compound. The check-in process was very smooth. The location is a bit far away from the main attractions but is close to the train station, and the view from the room is amazing. It is a pity that our stay was so short, but for us it is was a pleasure to have our breakfast delivered to our building with ******* and enjoy it in our room with the nice view. The service was very nice connecting us with a driver for the day, and offering tips around the area. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

We had an amazing time at Aranya resort. Had to booked this pretty last min cause the previous accommodation cancelled on us 1 week before the trip. The accommodation is located higher than ground level - which is only accessible by car. But you get a clear view of erhai lake. Room was big and spacious, with basic necessity included. Only drawback is no shelter from the time you alight the car to the room, and weather was erratic during our time there, hence there were times we got drenched.

They proactively upgraded my room! I read some reviews saying the room was hard to find, but it was actually quite easy. The room was large and very clean, making for a comfortable stay. The only thing is that check-in is on the 40th floor, which is acceptable. Just make sure to call the property in advance to communicate. The room was very well-equipped.

This is indeed a high-rise unit in Xiaguan with amazing views. Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake are both right before your eyes. The location is super convenient, right next to the Erhai Pier. The room is neatly and warmly decorated. The young lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and answered all our questions. Everything was arranged perfectly. The auntie at the restaurant was also very thoughtful, preparing different breakfasts every day. There's even a washing machine, which is a great convenience for those always on the go. An absolutely fantastic experience! :)

Highly recommended! The service was excellent. They helped us with our luggage the whole way and even came out to meet us upon arrival. Any issues we had were resolved promptly, and the staff's attitude was super nice. The room was clean and tidy, and very comfortable to stay in! The balcony view was amazing. Every day of our stay included breakfast and afternoon tea, so there was absolutely no need to go to a separate cafe~

Traveling with my child, we skipped the crowded Old Town in Dali and found a hidden gem instead. Just a seven-minute drive from the Old Town, we stumbled upon the gentle embrace of Yue Shanhai – nestled by the mountains with a view of the sea. Directly accessible via National Highway 214, it's a secluded paradise where even the wind seems to linger. You don't need to go all the way to Kyoto; their garden is already overflowing with romance. Sparse greenery, blossoming paths, and the elegance of a dry landscape garden blend seamlessly with Bai ethnic style. Every step feels like walking through a poem. Strolling with my child, even time seemed to slow down. We stayed in a two-story courtyard suite. Opening the window revealed the mountains, and closing the door, we could hear the wind, cherishing every moment of our family time. The hotel lobby is spacious and elegant. The sweet scent of afternoon tea lingered, and while I sipped a refreshing drink, my child chased after the floral fragrance. This is what perfect travel looks like. The sunrise was the biggest surprise! No need to brave the cold by Erhai Lake; the third-floor terrace offered a complete panoramic view. The morning light pierced through the clouds, illuminating the outline of Cangshan Mountain and splashing across the turquoise waters of Erhai. Wrapped in the warm glow, we took photos before heading downstairs for a hearty breakfast, feeling a warmth spread through our hearts. This Shuanglang B&B, highly recommended by my friend, is absolutely amazing! As soon as I walked in, I was stunned by the massive floor-to-ceiling windows. The panoramic views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake are simply breathtaking. Every photo I took turned out to be a stunning, atmospheric shot 📸. ✨ The butler service was incredibly thoughtful! They picked us up at the intersection, helped with our luggage, making our trip with kids so much easier and stress-free. ✨ They even offer free professional travel photography! The photographer was fantastic, and the unedited photos were already perfect. ✨ The public area's afternoon tea was gorgeous, breakfast was nutritious and well-balanced, and they even delivered heartwarming desserts to our room in the evening.

This guesthouse boasts an excellent location. There's a coffee shop right on the ground floor, so you don't have to go far for your caffeine fix. Stepping out, you're right by Erhai Lake. The room itself is incredibly spacious, and it's so relaxing to enjoy the scenery and have afternoon tea on the balcony. You get a stunning view of Erhai Lake reflecting the blue sky and white clouds. The guesthouse owner is also exceptionally kind and helpful, answering all our questions about where to go and how to get around. What's more, they were very thoughtful – they contacted us in advance, sent us the drop-off location, and even came to help us with our luggage. Since the guesthouse is located within the ecological corridor, motorized vehicles can't enter. You can, however, rent a bicycle and ride it in, which is a lovely experience with fantastic views! 😄😄😄

Traveling to Shangri-La, I wholeheartedly recommend Songtsam Retreat at Shangri-La. It offers an immersive ******* experience that truly elevates your stay! The hotel is located right next to Dukezong Ancient Town, very close to the prayer wheel, allowing you to easily soak in the unique ******* culture and atmosphere with just a short walk. The location is absolutely perfect. The entire hotel is rich in ******* charm, with characteristic decorations everywhere, creating an incredible ambiance. Every photo you take here is simply stunning. The rooms are spacious and airy, and exceptionally clean, making for a truly comfortable stay. Considering the high-altitude environment, the guest rooms thoughtfully provide oxygen concentrators and disposable nasal cannulas to alleviate altitude sickness discomfort, showing great attention to detail. And the service is even more heartwarming and attentive. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, but the staff... (The sentence seems to be cut off here, but I'll continue based on common hotel service expectations). A particularly delightful surprise was the in-house travel photography service. The costumes are of high quality, and the makeup is natural, elegant, and not overdone. Sisters who want to take Tibetan-style portraits should definitely book in advance. This stay was a perfect 10 – so gentle and healing. The next time I visit Shangri-La, I will definitely choose Songtsam Retreat at Shangri-La again, and I recommend it to all friends traveling here~

So many hotels by Erhai Lake in Dali, it was hard to choose! I didn't want to stay in the ancient city, so I picked the Pullman. When we checked in, the hotel upgraded our room. The hotel's location is super convenient for food, accommodation, and getting around. Haiyan Restaurant is close by, and there's a fruit store right downstairs. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety, including local specialties, which was fantastic! The toiletries were L'Occitane Verbena series, and there was a Dyson hairdryer. After our room upgrade, they even gave us a seat reservation card for breakfast – truly top-notch service! The private car service provided by the hotel was excellent. The car was new and clean, and the driver was very genuine and knowledgeable. He took us to a local restaurant with authentic specialties in Xizhou, helped us avoid tourist traps, and dropped us off right at the entrance of every attraction, saving us a lot of walking. I'm so glad we canceled the car service I booked on another platform. Next time I visit, I'll definitely choose the Pullman again.
