Service: The hotel staff all had professional smiles; some were genuine, while others felt more perfunctory, which guests could clearly notice.
Environment: The highest hot spring pool hadn't been cleaned; there was moss growing on the bottom, making it slippery, which was a concern since we were with an elderly person.
Facilities: Xiamen is still quite hot in December, so it's a bit hard to understand why the rooms don't uniformly provide air conditioning.
Hygiene: At the buffet, I picked up a plate that had obvious dried-on food residue stuck to the bottom.
Perhaps because it was a rare trip with an elderly person, my expectations were higher, but overall, it wasn't as good as my last experience here.
I'd like to commend the staff member in the hot spring changing area at 3:30 PM on the 6th. As soon as I entered, they asked for my number tag and guided me, thoughtfully brought a waterproof phone pouch, and showed me the way to the hot spring area. Also, the security guard in the takeout area near the entrance at 7:50 AM on the 7th proactively helped hold the cabinet door when I had a lot of items to pick up. And the parking attendant or security uncle at the entrance at 1:00 PM on the 7th, when we were checking out, saw the elderly person walking and came over to help guide them, reminding them about the small steps. I only managed to get a photo of the hot spring staff's nametag, but I've provided the times for the other two staff members. I hope the hotel can convey my thanks to them. đĽš

We booked the two-storey villa and truly enjoyed the beautiful scenery within the hotel grounds, as well as the excellent service. From the doorman, restaurant staff, electrician, to the drivers â everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help.
A special thanks to our Butler, Xiao Fang. She is such a lovely and caring lady â incredibly helpful, patient, and attentive. No matter what we requested, she always did her best to assist. I changed my boat-ride schedule multiple times, and she handled everything with so much patience and professionalism.
Xiao Fang truly made our holiday more enjoyable and completely hassle-free.
We would love to come back to this hotel again.

I had a pretty good idea of what to expect from such an old hotel, I mainly chose it for its location. The toilet was too low, and the hairdryer's power was insufficient; I couldn't wash my hair during my two-day stay. The soundproofing was also terrible, the TV couldn't cast, and the curtains weren't electric. It felt more like an upscale guesthouse, with a dated feel everywhere.
The service was decent though. They brought snacks daily (though not very tasty), and there were bananas, oranges, and pastries in the hallway. They also provided buckwheat pillows, and the mattress was quite comfortable.
For nearby snacks, I recommend Houcheng Mianxianhu (7-minute walk) and Chakou Wheel Cakes (3-minute walk).

Service: I didn't really feel much in terms of service, which was a bit different from other IHG hotels I've stayed at. However, they did provide what was necessary, so I can't really pinpoint any major issues. Regarding greetings, there was no call ahead of time, only a call after checkout asking me to leave a good review. This is quite different from the typical IHG group style. From check-in at the front desk to departure, I didn't feel any particular warmth towards IHG members or Trip.com members. When I checked in, the room wasn't ready. The front desk didn't offer for me to relax in the Executive Lounge, nor did they offer a welcome drink at the lobby bar. They just told me I could store my luggage at the front desk⌠I was a bit taken aback and unsure what to do⌠because the lobby was quite small and there were no empty seats at the time! At eleven o'clock (I understand it wasn't check-in time yet), I could only drop off my luggage and go to eat! Since I booked an executive room, the front desk didn't ask if I had any other needs. They took the deposit and processed the paperwork, telling me there were no rooms available for about an hour, and then there was no further communication⌠A bit speechless (maybe I'm just used to InterContinental and spoiled by other IHG hotels).
Facilities: I can only say they were okay, everything you'd expect was there. The gym and pool environment were decent. The only service I felt was good was from the gym staff; they were welcoming and quite enthusiastic, unlike the front desk staff, who I didn't see smile or greet anyone even once over two days. The lobby bar is a bit small, with only a few seating areas; a large portion of the space seems to have been outsourced to a tea shop, serving as a consumption area. There was no welcome drink upon check-in either, which was a bit surprising.
Hygiene: It's an older hotel, but the maintenance is decent, and the hygiene is acceptable!
Environment: It's about a ten-minute walk from the scenic spots, which is quite convenient.
Overall, there's nothing particularly outstanding!
Breakfast was quite average for an IHG group hotel. The sausages, bread, and breakfast sausages seemed to be of inferior quality, clearly starchy sausages, which certainly doesn't meet the standards of a five-star hotel. The desserts in the Executive Lounge were decent.
Went to Xiamen with a friend and chose the Kempinski, a well-established five-star hotel that truly never disappoints. Even though it opened in 2012, both its location and facilities are still excellent. It's right by the river, and the front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic, upgrading us from a city view room to a river view room and even giving us a small gift bag with Xiamen local specialties.
The room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel's gym and pool are fantastic, and the swimming coaches and lifeguards are all handsome young men with amazing physiques. Breakfast was plentiful, and the service was warm.
Overall, it was a great stay.

The location is super convenient. It's not far from Shouxu Park, perfect for a stroll or bike ride. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, and it's a quick taxi ride to the old town for local snacks.
The room was genuinely spacious and bright; even for the type I booked, it felt very roomy. The bed was plush, and the pillow height was just right, ensuring a truly deep sleep. The bathroom had excellent wet/dry separation, and hot water was instant. The toiletries were Shangri-La's own brand, with a refreshing scent, and felt lovely to use. Drawing back the curtains revealed a decent city view, and the sunlight streaming in during the day made the room warm and inviting.
Service was impeccable; every staff member, from the front desk to the housekeeping team, was incredibly polite. During check-in, the lady at the front desk had a sweet smile and even proactively offered a late check-out (which I didn't end up needing, but it was a very thoughtful gesture).
Breakfast offered a rich variety. You absolutely must try the local Putian braised noodles (Lu Mian) and wonton-like dumplings (Bian Shi); the Lu Mian, in particular, had a truly authentic flavor, even better than some small local eateries! Western options like bread, bacon, and yogurt were also available. All ingredients were fresh, and I left feeling very full and satisfied. The restaurant environment was clean, and the staff were very diligent in clearing plates, so you never had to wait.
The hotel also features a swimming pool and a gym. The pool water was very clean and the temperature was just right â kids would definitely love it if you're traveling with family. The gym was well-equipped, making it convenient if you wanted to get a workout in. Additionally, there are hot springs nearby, perfect for a relaxing soak.
Overall, it offers excellent value for money. Whether you're visiting Putian for leisure or business, this hotel is a perfect choice. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip!

The room was very spacious, with excellent soundproofing and a beautiful view. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunset over the river from the comfort of the sofa. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, enough to try all the local Quanzhou delicacies. The overall stay experience was superb, easily meeting five-star standards. Hotel staff were always on hand to help with luggage upon arrival and departure, which made me feel incredibly well looked after. When I needed a drying rack late at night, the staff promptly brought one to my room. Every staff member I encountered in the lobby greeted me warmly, showcasing their high level of professionalism. The room's toiletries and even the key card were made of wood, giving a sense of luxury while remaining eco-friendly. The tabletop vanity mirror was from Mi Guang, reflecting excellent taste. While the city itself might be ordinary, the hotel is absolutely exceptional, truly living up to InterContinental standards. I certainly hope to stay here again.

As frequent leisure travellers from Australia, this was our second stay at this hotel during this trip, and we remain exceptionally pleased with our overall experience.
Location & Transportation:
The hotel's location is exceptionally convenient, offering easy access to a vast selection of excellent dining, from local noodle shops to hot pot and barbecue. A metro station providing affordable access to the city centre and beyond is conveniently located just 800 meters away (and is free for those over 65 regardless of nationality). For guests with mobility concerns, we highly recommend DiDi (online taxi service), which we found to be an equally affordable and highly convenient alternative for city travel.
Staff Service:
The hotel staff consistently demonstrated outstanding hospitality. The receptionists were exceptionally friendly and efficient, ensuring a seamless check-in and proactively providing airport transfer information before our arrival. This high level of service extended to the pleasant breakfast staff and the cleaning personnel, who offered warm and welcoming greetings each morning.
Laundry & Amenities:
The availability of complimentary and assisted laundry service was a major advantage. This amenity proved highly convenient and essential during our 16-day trip covering Fuzhou and the surrounding area of Pingtan.
Room Quality & Layout:
We were very satisfied with the room's upkeep. It was meticulously cleaned, and the bed sheets, towels, and linens (including pillows) were all immaculately maintainedâa crucial factor in our selection criteria. Furthermore, the room's layout was highly practical and luggage-friendly, featuring a logical and efficient arrangement of amenities.
In conclusion, we are highly satisfied with our selection and would unreservedly return to this hotel on any future visit to the city.

Advantages: 1. The hotel is new, the facilities are new, the quality is high, and there is no odor when staying;
2. The price and accommodation conditions are very cost-effective;
3. If you bring your children with you, you will get a small doll as a gift when you check in;
4. There is a refrigerator for you to bring your own drinks, coffee, tea, and 4 bottles of mineral water are provided free of charge. Shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel are all brand new packaging.
Disadvantages: 1. I checked in at 2:50 pm, but the front desk only gave me one room. They explained that the other room could not be cleaned and it would take another hour. Because I booked 2 rooms in full on Ctrip one week in advance, the hotel should have cleaned and reserved the paid rooms in advance, instead of explaining that the cleaning was not done after the guests arrived and making them wait for the rooms.
2. Check-in took too long. It took almost 20 minutes to check in for two rooms. During the check-in process, I was still waiting at the counter when a guest came in and threw a room card in. The front desk checked him out and asked him to get a parking card, etc. They totally ignored the order of service. It was very unprofessional.
3. There was no welcome fruit when I entered the room. I told the staff on the same floor and they said they would arrange it right away. But when I came back a few hours later, there was still no fruit. Finally, I called the front desk and they arranged for the fruit to be delivered. Shouldn't the guest be notified of the fruit delivery as soon as check-in is confirmed? Why do they have to contact us twice?
4. The bathroom trash can has no bag or lid. In a confined space, the odor in the trash can will come out after a long time, which really loses points~
5. The hotel is newly renovated, and the windows are on the side, so you can only open a small gap. There is a noticeable decoration smell when you sleep at night, and the sour smell of formaldehyde and glue is quite strong
6. The room temperature was 24.5 degrees Celsius that day. Because the room was not ventilated, it was stuffy. As a result, the air conditioner only blew out normal temperature air, and I sweated a lot. However, the heating was normal.
7. Booking a room with buffet breakfast on Ctrip costs an additional 69 yuan per person. As I was not sure about the itinerary at that time, I did not choose breakfast. Later, I went to the store to ask the front desk, and they said I had to pay 128 yuan per person. I said that the Ctrip booking was 69 yuan per person. The front desk changed the words and said that the on-site booking at the front desk would be more than 80 yuan. I asked if they could give me the Ctrip price. The front desk said that the on-site booking would be more than 80 yuan, or you could go out and experience the breakfast in Zhangzhou by yourself. The tone of voice at that time was a bit choking, which made people feel very uncomfortable.
PS: I saw many reviews from Ctrip users, some said they received breakfast coupons, and those with children also upgraded their rooms. Unfortunately, I didnât catch any of them~
In general, the hardware conditions are good, the software services still need to keep up, and the odor from the decoration still needs to be removed~

GGuest UserThis is the our first visit to Fuzhou. I traveled with my husband and my mum. I booked 4 different hotels for a total of 9 nights in Fuzhou. Narada is the second hotel.
We stayed for two nights at the private hot spring wing. Was given free upgrade upon checking in. We were then driven to our rooms by the lovely front desk lady, Xiao Li (ĺĺ°ĺ°ć). She is very professional, super helpful as the moment we got out of the cab, she carried all our baggages. Throughout our trip, she is always there to answer all our questions and is very warm and personable.
The next morning, we then called the front desk for the buggy to pick us up to the main hotel side for breakfast. The spread is very good with both Chinese and Western cuisine. The chefs are very nice and approachable. I want to take this chance to thank the restaurant waitress, Chen Hong (éčš). Every morning we were greeted by her superb service. She shared with us about the culture, food and places to go in Fuzhou. She really go out of the way to make us feel welcomed.
Checking out was a breeze too. We just called the front desk and leave our keys in the room and head off. We then made our way to next hotel nearer to the city centre. We were shocked by the condition as the surroundings and the exterior of the hotel looked so rundown and dirty. We then decide to go back to Narada. We were again served by Xiao Li (ĺĺ°ĺ°ć). The moment she saw us, she immediately came to us asking if thereâs anything she can help us with. We told her about our horrific encounter at the other hotel and she helped us arrange for 2 rooms at the main hotel side. She even brought us up to see the rooms before committing the stay. We also met Chen Hong (éčš) while waiting for the rooms, she was empathic and recommended other local places and events. We were so impressed by the rooms, the hospitality and the impeccable service by Xiao Li (ĺĺ°ĺ°ć) and Chen Hong (輿é¤ĺ éčš) that we decided not to move in to the city centre and stayed here for 7 more nights before our flight back to Singapore.
Big thumbs up to Narada Resort & Spa, Shoukai, Fuzhou. The people there are truly amazing. Thank you very much!

AAprilblossomsGreat hotel with exceptional services.
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. During our stay, we received remarkable services from the hotel staff beginning with the young Bellboy who greeted us on the day we arrived and thereafter. The front desk staff are friendly and professional; check-in was quick and easy, and especially Charis, who had patiently answered many questions that we had for Xiamen. We appreciated Lia, who helped us to get taxi by using her own phone with the local DiDi program and makes sure the taxi driver knows our destination. We also appreciated Alice from the dining room, who to cut and packed the fruits we brought from the market on the day we checked out. Last but not least was cleaned daily. We felt great when we saw a note from the housekeeper and found towels folded đ on our bed one day and a swan on the next day.
SsZlatkoAmazing location, you can't choose better one, centrally located inside of the beautiful park. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and good breakfast. We had really nice time there and definitely will choose this hotel again if we go to Xiamen again!
2230981****The most outstanding feature of Wuyi Mountain Villa is its excellent location, being incredibly close to the Wuyi Palace sightseeing bus station, making it very convenient to visit all attractions in Wuyishan. The hotel is a garden-style property with a pleasant and scenic environment. However, the interior facilities are only at a three-star level. Additionally, because the leisure area is open-plan and directly adjacent to guest rooms, some ill-mannered guests would play cards and make noise late into the night. Even after a tiring day of hiking, I couldn't get to sleep due to the noise, which shows how loud it was. No staff members came out to remind or stop them, which is something that needs improvement.

YYongyuandemoguTo be honest, it offers a pretty standard experience for a hotel that's almost five-star. Like many, I suspect most guests, including myself, are primarily using it as a stepping stone to Gulangyu Island. Its location is excellent, but the service left a bit to be desired. Considering it's in a popular tourist city and so close to Gulangyu's Dongdu Ferry Terminal, they should definitely consider providing a shuttle service. I think guest satisfaction would soar, given that the hotel doesn't have any major hardware deficiencies.

JJacq Jacq NeoTop notch service by Langhamâs Place Guest relation officer , Ms Pearl. We were warmly greeted by her once we checked in and she went the extra mile to prepare the birthday celebration for my spouse. Upon asking, she recommended several places to dine around the hotel vicinity. When I had a parcel delivered to me, she made sure that I received it too. Iâve met many diligent GROs and concierge in the hotel industry , but none as thoughtful as her.
The room is clean and spacious, and the pool is decent. The steam room and sauna looks interesting but I did not try. The breakfast is a wide spread but itâs pretty much the same thing daily.
The hotel is next to a mall with many eateries nearby.
