Hotels With spa in Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea

I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days, and the owner was very kind. It was comfortable because he kept checking if I needed anything and whether it was cleaned. It was good because there were many convenient spaces nearby where I could buy things I needed right away.

The hotel was a bit dated but very clean. They didn’t provide toothbrushes but you can purchase them in the lobby. The staff were kind and helpful. The gym was surprisingly very good for a hotel of this size!

This property has a theme park on site which makes it a typical choice for family with kids. The room is big but wear and tear is obvious, it is stripped of any usual toiletries and coffee/tea bags which are usually common for 4* properties. The only option is to purchase at the mart downstairs or have your meals at restaurants on site. The restaurants on site like many theme park hotels are overpriced. It makes one feel bad for families where its either cook or have to pay exorbitant prices. Maybe they should at least keep up to 4* property's room conveniences to justify its 4*. For breakfast it is possible to grab some bread from the hotel's Italian lounge or Starbucks, they are at about the same price point.

Plus: There was no holiday season when I stayed at the hotel, which made the experience very relaxing and enjoyable. The swimming pool, which is open from 09:00 to 20:00, was available only for me. I highly recommend the 5 PM boat tour—it was one of the best experiences in Tongyeong. The staff is very kind. The room with a balcony overlooking the sea is fantastic. Minus: There was only one restaurant offering grilled dishes for dinner. I didn’t have a chance to eat breakfast at the hotel, as they exceptionally did not offer breakfast during my stay. The hotel is located far from the city center, main harbor, and sightseeing spots. Take a taxi if you don’t have your own car.

The resort is newly built, so it was clean, but there wasn't anything particularly special about it. We enjoyed the Jjakkak Island Kids Cafe inside and visited Lotte Water Park right next door. There is a park in front with a well-equipped toddler playground, and the outlet mall is within walking distance, which we also enjoyed. Gaya Land is nearby, so we had a great time for the day.

The location of the hotel was very friendly. There were many restaurants around, so it was easy to eat and there were many menus. Unfortunately, it was inconvenient to enter the parking lot and there was not much parking space. If you contact me in advance, it was okay to come down and help me park.

We stayed at Sol Beach with 5 people, and the location and facilities were excellent. The sunset spot was also incredibly satisfying. However, I was a bit put off by the unclear response from the supermarket staff. The mini-fridge in the room didn't cool very well, so anything beyond simple drinks and bottled water had to be left at the 1st-floor info desk and retrieved later, which was very inconvenient. Of course, they would bring it to the room if requested, but not being able to grab something to eat or drink whenever you wanted was a big hassle. I hope they can improve this aspect. Also, we used two rooms, and in the smaller room, the noise, which sounded like an outdoor unit, kept me awake all night. On the first night, I dismissed it as a simple system malfunction, not wanting to let it affect our pleasant trip. However, on the following day, I experienced the same issue again in the early morning and couldn't get any sleep, which was very inconvenient. I reported the issue the next day, and I submitted videos and other evidence to the staff who were trying to resolve it. I hope they can inspect the in-room environment more thoroughly and provide service befitting a 5-star establishment, so other travelers don't experience the same inconvenience. It wasn't an issue with all rooms, and their willingness to listen to feedback for improvement was good. Overall, the various amenities, scale, and service were good.

The room was clean, tidy, and quiet. The surrounding amenities were excellent, and the service was attentive and patient. If your budget allows, I highly recommend staying here; you won't be disappointed. It was a fantastic experience.

The advantage is that there is one more ondol room so that the bedding is comfortable and 4-5 people can stay comfortably. All rooms have ocean views, and the ocean view that harmonizes with the park in front is very beautiful. Swimming pool, gym, convenience store, etc. are available as facilities. It's a bit unfortunate that there are only Chinese restaurants and sashimi restaurants nearby that can be reached on foot, but you can use Daemyung Resort and restaurants nearby if you walk for about 10 minutes. The parking lot is narrow, so if you come in in the evening, you can park on the side of the road. Overall, it is a good value for money hotel.

The exterior of the building feels a bit old, so I didn't expect much. There are only what you need, and I am sensitive to the smell, but there is no smell, there is no smell like the laundry, there is no hair on the floor, and the bathroom is clean. My wife was also satisfied. Parking is a bit hard, but that doesn't seem to be a problem. Next time, Tongyeong Ogaki Oriental Motel.
