An excellent alternative to staying in Amsterdam Central. This hotel is just a few minutes' walk away from Hoofddorp train station, which is about 20 minutes outside Amsterdam Central but so much cheaper than hotels in Central. If you are visiting the Keukenhof Gardens (which we were), there is also a shuttle bus right at Hoofddorp station, perfect for us.
There is a free shuttle service from Schipol Airport, running throughout the day (pickup from bus bay A9, easy to locate outside Schipol Airport), with a return trip to the airport costing 5 euros per person.
Hotel was clean, room was spacious, and breakfast was a decent spread with hot dishes and pastries. Housekeeping was provided upon request only, so keep that in mind.
Overall, would recommend.
I've been in the hotel several times.
Since I'm alone, I feel very well at the hotel.
Unfortunately, the spa area was not useful on the first day, but it made the stay not less beautiful.
The rooms are small but always super clean.
This will not be my last stay this time. 👍👍👍👍
The room was spacious and comfortable, the bed was cozy, and the view was great, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff were warm and attentive, providing excellent service. The hotel's location is superb, offering convenient transportation, and the breakfast selection was extensive.

Brilliant hotel. We stayed here for Dekmantel festival. A short bus to the festival site. The hotel has a free shuttle to the airport which was great too. Walking distance to shops to pick up food if you want to cook. Huge spacious rooms, really clean too. The highlight was the wellness centre. The pool was the perfect size, and great having the sauna and steam room. They messed up our booking on the first night but were very apologetic and offered free breakfast for the remainder of our stay.
The hotel's cleanliness wasn't great; there was a thick layer of dust in many areas, which made it feel like housekeeping wasn't thorough enough. It's a shame and a bit of a waste because the hotel's decor and facilities are actually quite nice, and I heard it's an older, well-established hotel. Roomkeeping definitely needs improvement. When I checked out, I mentioned the cleanliness issues to a nice guy at the front desk. He apologized and even waived the parking fee, which was really good service, hats off to him. Breakfast was standard, had everything you'd expect.
The location of this hotel was great. The staff were very efficient in helping us with whatever we needed. We booked a room for three people last minute and we were pleasantly surprised with the excellent service considering that it was one of the more reasonable hotels around and so close to the city centre. Great place and great staff. I will definitely be adding this hotel to my favourite's list.
Excellent service , special thanks extending to Dan at the counter who helped arranged a room meeting my needs. The location is good with bus stop only at the corner outside of the hotel. Room was nice w a comfortable bed. The view of the room was fantastic overseeing the ocean and the bridge. Breakfast was good too.
A good central location to Alkmaar. Good to do by foot or by bike.
A spacious room with a working refrigerator.
Airco did not work enough for us at hot weather. It's set by default.
You can book a sauna in advance well arranged. Sometimes you can get there immediately because there are already people(being)
Breakfast is wide enough. from linseed/haver mout to spice with a stick.
The dining room is in the kelder with beautiful forest decoration view.
There is enough free parking or a paying parking garage.
We had to replace the battery before we had to replace the box, but this would only be done if you weren't hanging a plate at the door. On Day 3, it wasn't restored.
A 200-year-old hotel in a small fishing village
It's really worth staying here
The bath water is a bit small but it doesn’t affect the overall feeling
Be sure to choose a room facing the lake
Get up in the morning and watch the sunrise
Very very worth it
Hygiene: Average. It’s an old store. Many are not so new.
Internet speed is a bit slow
The quilt and pillows are very comfortable
had a great 11-day stay! The hotel was clean and well-maintained throughout my visit. The room was spacious, comfortable, and the Wi-Fi speed was consistently good, which was perfect for my longer stay. The location is ideal if you're looking for a quiet area slightly away from the hustle of the city. It's in a peaceful neighborhood but still very convenient—just a few meters from the Overamstel metro station, making it easy to get around.
They also have great amenities, including a lovely swimming pool and an on-site restaurant that’s both convenient and enjoyable. Overall, a very pleasant stay and I would happily come back again.

朝朝阳区MichaelThis hotel is conveniently located right next to Amsterdam Airport, and they offer a shuttle service. It's a small, converted Sprinter van with a compact luggage rack for larger bags. However, it's quite small, so if you have a lot of luggage, especially for a family or two traveling internationally with multiple large suitcases, it might be a squeeze. The shuttle departs from the hotel every hour on the hour or every half hour, and from the airport, it usually leaves around :15 and :45. I won't go into too much detail about the hotel itself, but the breakfast was good – they even had kimchi and rice, and someone to cook eggs and omelets to order, which was a nice touch. The gym is open 24/7, and the pool and sauna are available from 7 AM to 10 PM. I didn't get a chance to use those facilities. There's also parking available for around 20 euros a night. Overall, it's a good place and I recommend it!
GGuest UserThe room was fantastic, and the complimentary snacks were a thoughtful touch. The bed was soft and very comfortable. Its location near the airport makes it perfect for those catching a flight the next day.
However, I had a terrible experience with the airport shuttle. The website stated there was a free shuttle, and I even double-checked the timetable. I waited at the designated area (A9–A13), but no bus ever showed up! I saw shuttles from other hotels coming and going constantly, yet I waited for over an hour with no sign of ours. I’m not sure if a pre-booking was required, but I strongly advise everyone to call and confirm with the hotel beforehand
Additionally, the shampoo dispenser in my bathroom was broken and wouldn't pump. 🥲
ZZhaozaidadaoshangz16The location of the hotel is absolutely in the city center. The room is spacious and beautiful. It is a pleasure to sit on the balcony and watch the canal. The service is superb. The old doorman is a gentleman, and the receptionist is very polite. The bathroom is large, and the bedding in the room is superb, very comfortable. It gets dark at half past ten in the summer here, and the beautiful bells echo in the night sky. Special reminder: This hotel can check out at 4 pm.

KKowiwell located in Amsterdam Centrum, within walking distance to central station and lots of eateries and shops. Room is clean and comfortable. Nice simple breakfast to start my day. highly recommended.
GGuest UserWe recently stayed 4 nights at the hotel and overall had a lovely experience. We had originally booked an Executive Premium King Room but were pleasantly upgraded to a Junior Suite upon check-in, which was a really nice touch. The hotel also made a thoughtful gesture for my partner’s birthday, with complimentary chocolates waiting in the room on arrival.
The room itself had clearly been recently renovated and felt fresh and modern. The bedroom and living area were very spacious and comfortable. However, the bathroom felt quite small for a suite. I would have expected double basins and more bench space, as well as a bathtub, which I assumed would be standard for this room category.
There were also a few minor practical issues — the shower hose was difficult to manoeuvre and tended to spin, and the towel racks positioned over the toilet felt a bit awkward.
Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options, and the addition of Moët champagne for mimosas was a lovely touch. Service throughout our stay was great, and the hotel was consistently clean and well maintained.
We also dined twice at the in-house café/restaurant for lunch and dinner. The food was delicious, though a slightly broader menu would have been appreciated.
The location is fantastic — within easy walking distance to everything, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, a very pleasant stay with a few small areas for improvement.
GGuest UserWe arrived a tad early Staff were really welcoming & offered to store our luggage until we returned later for check in.
The room was more than what we expected, roomy, clean & great view down to the Ziggo Dome entry. The breakfast was pretty amazing, the choices from hot food, cereals, bread & cheeses, fruit, hot & cold drinks an awesome variety. The restaurant in house had a good variety of food, service was quick, staff were friendly & helpful.
All staff during our stay were really good. The location for us was No 1 right next to the Concert we went to see, The Ladies of Soul’ we will definitely book there again in the future. Keep up the good work Jaz in the City Amsterdam Staff. The cleaners also need a mention as they were easy to talk to and helpful when we requested items that had run out in our room.
GGuest UserBeautiful hotel from the moment you walk in the doors rooms are well presented clean and a good size for Amsterdam, my only issue was the mattress toppers were beyond worn and all bubbley which made it feel like the bed was full of crumbs which made for a sleepless night, other then that the the staff were as friendly and warm as could be which just added to the hotels overall charm.
HHarryXZObviously, the price is expensive, which is four times higher than that in Shanghai.
It is definitely not comparable to Bulgari and J in Shanghai. Not every room has a bathtub.
So, the lower the expectations, the less disappointment. However, the hotel breakfast is a feature, and you can enjoy the local culture slowly.
