The hotel is well maintained and the reception was very helpful with our situation due to flight cancellation. Especially Silvester from the restaurant, he was very kind to accommodate our needs. We had a pleasant experience and would like to stay again next time.

Overall, our experience was really good. The staff were nice and helpful, the room was spacious, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. We had great nights staying here. We chose this hotel because of its cozy, well-designed interior, very scandanavian style. The only downside is that the shower area doesn’t have any covering, which causes water to splash everywhere—typical of European-style rooms.

I have been eyeing this resort for a long time and finally had the chance to visit. A resort of about 3,000 acres, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, with pleasant scenery and Japanese and Western-style architecture. There are large golf courses, which are worth visiting if you want to relax. It would be great if there is Chinese food service.

We chose this hotel because we expected to enjoy its winery/food. Otherwise, we should have stayed in Queenstown with a lot of restaurants and pubs. As we would arrive in the early evening, we put a note for our hope for experiencing their winery and food (or at least finger foods) when we booked the hotel, and received email that they cannot guarantee but will do their best to serve our need. Since then, no email was sent to us. When we arrived at the hotel around 6 pm, no one was in the information desk, so we had to go to the bistro to find out that they left the key in a safe box without any notice or sending us any email with its password. We had to wait a while for the bistro lady to make a phone call to whom it concerns, which was okay. Worse, we heard that their bistro was reserved for a group event so we could not use the facility at all. We had to drive 15 minutes to a nearby town and bought foods from a supermarket. I think the hotel should have notified us of impossibility of using their bistro/food service due to the group event and we have to prepare for our food. As I checked out, I left a note about the issues, and expected they would send me an email to express their sincere apology. Unfortunately nothing happened so far. Although I liked the room as well as the whole place very much, I think Kinross cottage needs professionalism to run their stay program. It could have been much nicer, memorable stay experience.

The room was quite spacious with a stunning view. Breakfast at the restaurant was just okay, but lunch and dinner were excellent and really hit the spot. Transportation is actually very convenient, with both land and water buses available to get around.

Stayed 3 nights and overall a very positive experience, thanks to its fantastic amenities. After long days spent exploring the stunning surrounding landscapes, the private hot tub is an absolute highlight. Soaking in the warm water was incredibly relaxing and a perfect way to unwind tired muscles.

Parking is really difficult in Queenstown. You must choose a hotel that is close to the city and has parking, and then walk to the streets. This hotel has 3 floors and no elevator. The conditions are good, the facilities are complete, and it has a small balcony. You can't hear the noise from the road. The front desk closes at 6 o'clock, and guests need to enter and exit from the garage entrance.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Room is clean and we got beautiful view of the lake while having breakfast even though the view was slightly obstructed due to ongoing construction. Location is slightly inconvenient if you do not have a rental car because it is difficult to walk uphill back from town.

Parking is convenient and the room is not bad. The front desk is a little beauty from Harbin. The conversion plug we brought was forgotten in the last hotel and borrowed the conversion plug from the front desk. Thank you very much.

It was beyond my expectation. It was so beautiful. It faced the huge lake in Queenstown. The facilities were very good, including dishwasher, washing machine, bathroom, bedding, and the view. Most importantly, the price was much better than those hotels with direct beach access.

AAylwinDDoubletree was a last minute decision upon arriving Queenstown from Mt Cook. Although it is pricey, no regrets getting a room here for 2 nights. It came with a fully furnished kitchenette where you could do some cooking but didn't utilize this since we ate out. One peeve I don't understand is the need to pay for parking since onsite (NZD$ 16 per nite). There's ample parking and for guests that drive in, this should be complimentary for stay duration. Location is outside of Queenstown but water taxi available from hotel dock. Recommend for the environment and fantastic room but giving 3 stars for facilities due to need to pay for parking. Location by the lake allows peace and quiet and also wildlife encounters. Front desk staff during checkin time was very attentive and helpful as well.

::))We were thrilled to be the very first guests to leave a review for this stunning new resort! The location is fantastic, just a quick 10-minute drive to town, and our room offered breathtaking views of the Shot River, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. We arrived around 10 PM, and the hotel reception was impeccably prepared, warmly welcoming us and even upgrading our room! It looked exactly like the photos, with a design and interior that perfectly captured the vibe we were seeking. They had welcome drinks waiting for us, and we appreciated that milk was available on request at any time. The breakfast was a delightful a la carte experience, featuring an array of delicious options. The serving staff was not only attentive and kind but also provided excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants! We also indulged in room service, which exceeded our expectations in both taste and punctuality. Although the fitness room and movie room were still under construction, the small maintenance issue we encountered in the bathroom was addressed swiftly by the staff. Our stay has left us eager to return and see the final results of this new gem. I highly recommend this resort to everyone!

GGuest UserOverall, the location, service and facilities are very good. but the pricing is a bit on expensive side. The buffet breakfast at hotel with limited choices which can not compare with the same kind of hotels category in Asia....can't expect too much. You may consider to book room only instead. The service and the reception, concierge and doorman are very helpful and providing many information. If the service and attentiveness at the cafe (during serving breakfast) can be enhance, it will be much better.
