Things to do in Anqing

This was my second time visiting Tianzhu Mountain, and I challenged myself to hike the grand loop. It wasn't too difficult; anyone with good stamina could give it a try. The weather was perfect the day I went, not too hot. Plus, there was fog on the mountain, creating a beautiful, hazy effect. I highly recommend climbing it!!

Mingtang Mountain Scenic Area is cool and refreshing, perfect for escaping the summer heat. The scenery is beautiful, and the crowds aren't too large. Prices are also very low, with the same price both up and down the mountain. To ascend, you can choose a completely free hiking route, or an easier route combining a shuttle bus, cable car, and magic carpet. For an extra fee, you can descend via a slide, cable car, and glass rafting experience, which is very convenient for seniors.

Environment: No worse than Lushan Waterfall. Perhaps Lushan Waterfall is less impressive because the poet Li Bai visited it. The waterfalls of the Dabie Mountains cascade down, creating a magnificent and refreshing sight, nourishing the soul. We arrived at the waterfall at 9:30 AM and didn't see a rainbow. The entire scenic area was very cool. Since it wasn't a holiday, it wasn't crowded. The boat ride cost 50 yuan; remember to bargain if you're an adult and a child. My personal suggestion: definitely buy tickets online in advance. You can buy a basic package first (rainbow + scenic shuttle + rafting), then buy whatever else you like inside, and you can bargain. There are three types of rafting; the one we tried was the least fun. The river rafting requires you to paddle manually, so make sure you understand the details beforehand. The overall environment of the scenic area is quite nice, but the facilities and services are a bit lacking. Our two-day trip to western Anhui was spent entirely in the mountains, so we didn't get a real sense of nature.

🚩Phase I of the Five Thousand Years Cultural Expo Park: A Dream of a Thousand Years Scenic Area. The park presents historical themes through art forms such as sculptures, root carvings, and architecture. Core attractions include: 🔴The Five Thousand Years Root Carving Culture Park: A collection of nearly 27,000 root carvings, including giant works weighing over 5 tons, made of precious woods such as Phoebe zhennan. The museum's prized possession is a 5-meter-long root carving of "Along the River During the Qingming Festival." 🔵The Chinese Filial Piety Park and the Four Great Classical Novels Culture Park: Recreating Confucian culture and literary classics through reliefs and scenes, such as the "Confucius Traveling Through the States" and "Laozi: The Greatest Master Under Heaven" sculpture group. 🟢The Huangmei Opera Art Street and the Cliffside Waterfall: Combining intangible cultural heritage performances (such as Huangmei Opera) with a natural cultural wall, 21 meters high and 180 meters wide, inscribed with poems by historical figures. 🟣 Qin Shi Huang Terracotta Army and Imperial Sculpture Group: Replicas of the Qin terracotta warriors and an 11-meter-high statue of Qin Shi Huang, recreating the military might of the Qin and Han dynasties. ⛩️ Five Thousand Years of Culture Expo Park Phase I: A Dream of a Thousand Years Scenic Area. The scenic area is quite nice, worth a visit for photography enthusiasts. The ancient-style buildings are very realistic and impressive… Signboard: “I am the best in the world.” 🎉 During the Spring Festival, there are many performances and interactive games. Play games to earn silver tickets, which can then be used for a lucky draw or to exchange for gifts. 🎁 Five Thousand Years of Culture Expo Park Phase II: Ten-Mile Gallery Scenic Area. The scenic area includes four cultural parks: Misty Jiangnan, Along the River During the Qingming Festival, 360 Trades, and Creative Stone World. Phase II is much less crowded than Phase I, mainly for visiting exhibition halls. Without the large-scale Huangmei Opera performance of “The New Fairy Couple” in the evening, the scenic area felt a bit deserted.

Six-Foot Lane in Tongcheng, Anqing, though only 100 meters long and about 2 meters wide, is a spiritual landmark of the Chinese culture of "courtesy and courtesy." During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Grand Secretary Zhang Ying resolved a land dispute between his family and neighbors with the poem, "Why not yield three feet?" Each family yielded three feet, creating a timeless tale. This ordinary ancient lane in Anqing, with its blue bricks, gray tiles, and cobblestone paths, embodies the traditional virtues of humility, tolerance, and valuing harmony. It transcends time and continues to inspire people today: taking a step back opens up a vast expanse; courtesy and courtesy are wisdom in dealing with the world and the foundation of harmony. Today, Six-Foot Lane is not only a cultural and tourist attraction but also a classroom for moral education, silently proclaiming the enduring charm of excellent traditional Chinese culture.

The main peak of Tianzhu Mountain is majestic and magnificent, the Mysterious Valley is full of fun, and the Alchemy Lake is picturesque. Here, you can feel the wonders of nature and touch the weight of history.

Niucao Mountain is worth visiting. The scenery before sunrise is even more beautiful, and the sea of ​​clouds is so beautiful. We were a group of four and drove up the mountain at 4 o'clock. Unexpectedly, there were already many people on the mountain and there was no place to park the car. Although it was so early, there were several stalls selling food on the mountain! Even the coffee truck drove up the mountain to sell coffee. There were also many camping tents on the mountain. When we went down the mountain after watching the sunrise, we saw the row of windmills for power generation, which formed a beautiful scenery and was eye-catching. I will go to Niucao Mountain again if I have the chance.

From the highest point, Dragon Head Peak, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Magpie Bridge, Jade Pool, and other attractions. The scenery is beautiful, the Magpie Bridge is sturdy, and the heart-shaped glass bridge is perfect for photos. The scenic area offers many thrilling rides, such as bungee jumping, rock climbing, and the Buddha's Hand sculpture. For those with good stamina, climbing the scenic area takes about an hour. Reaching Dragon Head Peak requires a further walk, or you can cross the Magpie Bridge first, as there are many steps, some of which are quite steep.

倒扒狮步行街里比较有特色的景观就是倒扒狮牌坊，因为牌坊基座上雕刻有倒扒狮而得名。牌坊始建于明代，今仅残存南端部分坊柱。1986年在倒扒狮西段街口仿建1座水泥牌坊。

Very good scenic spot, no one was crowded during the May Day holiday, which is great. Along the way, we visited Xifeng Zen Temple, Xifeng Cave and the Guanhu Pavilion on the top of the mountain. The scenery was really good.
