The area surrounding Chuzhou is all mountains. Ming Zhongdu Imperial City National Heritage Park is located on Donghua Road, Fengyang County, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province. It is the first capital city site built by Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, in his hometown of Fengyang. As a model of Ming Dynasty capital city architecture, Ming Zhongdu was designed strictly in accordance with the "Zhou Li. Kaogong Ji", with a traditional capital city pattern of front court, back bedroom, left ancestral temple and right community, with a north-south central axis running through the city. The project was stopped in the eighth year of Hongwu (1375) due to "labor costs", but it has taken shape and has become one of the most luxurious capital city buildings in Chinese history. It is still under archaeological excavation. I hope that we can see its true appearance in the near future.
