U.S. Route 66

U.S. Route 66, also known as the Will Rogers Highway or Main Street of America, was one of the original highways in the U.S. Highway System, established in 1926. The highway stretches from Chicago to Santa Monica State Beach in Los Angeles, crossing eight states: Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California, covering a total length of approximately 2,400 miles. With the development of the Interstate Highway System, the road was officially decommissioned in 1985, and some sections have since been designated as National Scenic Byways. The scenery along the route is a defining feature of this highway. From the farmlands of Illinois to the hills of Missouri, from the plains of Oklahoma to the red deserts of Arizona, and finally to the Pacific coast of California, the road connects a multitude of small towns, motels, neon signs, and roadside diners that retain their mid-20th-century appearance. Many sections still feature original gas stations and unique shops. U.S. Route 66 has had a profound influence on American pop culture. John Steinbeck used the road as the backdrop for the westward migration in The Grapes of Wrath, earning it the nickname "The Mother Road." The Pixar animated film Cars also uses this highway as its setting.Custer County · 27.4 km from downtown

Yawapa Viewpoint is located at the last stop of the Grand Canyon ShuttleBus Orange Line. Looking down from here, the steep cliffs, red and yellow land, countless ditches, the scenery is very intoxicating. There is a geological museum near the viewing point, from which tourists can overlook the Grand Canyon through the large glass windows, which is also a different experience. In addition, this is a place to watch the sunrise. The canyon gradually shows the outline of light from the hazy, which is very shocking.Grand Canyon Village · 2.4 km from downtown

Havasu Falls is known as the largest waterfall in North America. Although its 30-meter drop is not very high, the waterfall is famous for its gorgeous color and variety. You will see that the water of the waterfall is blue because it contains travertine. A dazzling blue waterfall cascading down the red rocks and down into the emerald lake. There is a small grassy mound at the foot of the waterfall, from which you can look up at Havasu Falls, which is also interesting.Coconino County · >100 km from downtown

Lake Powellis a well-known artificial reservoir on the Colorado River and one of the iconic natural views within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. It spans the border between Utah and Arizona in the United States and was formed by the Glen Canyon Dam impounding the Colorado River. Although it is an artificial lake, it presents a unique view that feels like a natural wonder, thanks to its spectacular red rock canyons, vast and clear blue waters, and complex, ever-changing shoreline topography. The total length of the shoreline exceeds 3,000 km, with nearly 100 side canyons of varying sizes, which hide many natural arches, caves, and red rock formations of various shapes. When boating deep into the lake area, visitors feel as if they have entered a massive labyrinth formed by water and rock, where every turn may reveal a new view.United States · Kane County

London Bridge was originally a major traffic thoroughfare on the River Thames in London, built in 1820. By the 1960s, the London Bridge had to be demolished because it couldn't keep up with traffic. The 150-year-old old bridge was put up for auction by a savvy British man, and was auctioned off by McCulloch, the owner of the American McCulloch Real Estate Company, for $2.46 million. In 1968, the dismantled stones were transported across the ocean by sea ships and transported to Lake Havasu City, where the bridge was reproduced on an artificial river. Today, the ancient London Bridge has settled in this oasis in the exotic desert, which contrasts with the surrounding scenery, showing a unique and exotic scenery.United States · Lake Havasu City

The Colorado River is a river located in the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico, stretching approx. 2,333 km, with a basin that covers seven states in the United States and two states in Mexico. Most of the Colorado River system is located within the United States, and major attractions along the river include Grand Canyon National Park, Horseshoe Bend, and Lake Powell, among others. At Grand Canyon National Park, you can witness the incredible, time-sculpted landscapes created by geological forces. Hike through the canyon to enjoy the outdoors and marvel at the geological tapestry illuminated by the sun. You can even look down at the Colorado River as it surges forward at the bottom of the canyon—a truly magnificent, awe-inspiring, and unparalleled sight. Traveling east along the Colorado River to the vicinity of Page, you can see the Colorado River make a dramatic U-turn. There is an observation deck here where the view of the Colorado River below is spectacular and breathtaking. As there are no guardrails, please be very careful when taking photos or looking down. The Colorado River before you is an emerald green, which contrasts beautifully with the surrounding metallic red landscape. Continue east to Lake Powell. This is a perfect destination for a road trip vacation. Here, you can take a boat cruise on the lake to admire the azure waters and the red canyons on both sides. Nanshan Park is located on Dobbins South Road in Phoenix, covering an area of more than 9,700 acres, making it the largest urban park in the world. The park has a very quiet environment, with picnic areas and walking trails for people to take a break. People can ride horses, walks, mountain bikes, etc., to meet your different needs. There is also an environmental center within the park, which exhibits the history of the park and the ancient Hohokam people who lived here. The place where the park is located is steep, and walking will be a little tiring, but when you climb to a high place, you will feel that all the efforts are worth it, and you can enjoy the beautiful view of the entire city of Phoenix.United States · Phoenix

Route 66 is an old, worn-out asphalt road, cracked in some sections with weeds sprouting from the gaps. Occasionally, an abandoned gas station stands by the roadside, its sign rusted but still standing, its pump covered in dust. Driving into a small town, the neon lights outside old restaurants don't work during the day, and old photos and broken guitars are displayed in the windows. Next to it, an old Chevrolet, rusted to its frame, sits there like a sculpture. There's hardly anyone around; the wind whistles through the road signs, creating a desolate atmosphere.

Lake Powell in the United States has a unique red rock canyon and water sports scene. Here you can rent a cruise ship that can carry up to ten people. You can drive it yourself without a driver's license. Of course, there are also speedboats that are more difficult to control, as well as kayaks.

A river in the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. It is about 2,333 kilometers long, and part of it disappears west of the Rocky Mountains in the United States. Most of the entire Colorado River system flows into the Gulf of California, which is the main source of fresh water for California. The other part flows south to Mexico, but does not reach the sea.

We went in July 2017 and it was very hot but we had a great time. We were only there for a few hours. It was very hot but the view was amazing. Definitely one of the coolest spots. But if you go remember it is hot so be prepared.
