Reviews: In-depth tour of the National Museum of China: [Ancient China guided tour – Scholar's tales lead you to explore China's treasures]
Guest User2026-04-11
The guided tour at the National Museum was an excellent experience. The guide, Wang Wenjuan, was highly professional and organized, starting with the core artifacts in the Ancient China exhibition hall and systematically outlining the historical context. Her explanations of national treasures such as the Houmuwu Ding and the Four-Sheep Bronze Zun were detailed and thorough, covering their age, craftsmanship, and cultural significance. Her language was lively and easy to understand, skillfully using stories to recreate historical scenes and guiding the observation of artifact details, bringing warmth to the otherwise impersonal exhibits. The pace was well-balanced, her attitude patient and friendly, answering all questions and balancing educational content with engaging activities, greatly enhancing the visit. Participants not only gained a deeper understanding of the artifacts but also experienced a profound appreciation for the richness and brilliance of Chinese civilization. Highly recommended!
Reviews: National Museum of China [Expert Guide · VIP Private Tour with Admission Ticket]

Mr. Ma is incredibly professional! He specifically informed us of the route and important information for getting to the National Museum beforehand, which was a great help, otherwise we would definitely have been late. Once inside, with his guidance, we avoided many unnecessary detours and queues. His flexible approach allowed us to see the most valuable exhibits with maximum efficiency. Furthermore, Mr. Ma is incredibly knowledgeable, reciting information and stories about various exhibits with remarkable ease. He didn't just mechanically recite lists of items; instead, he interacted with us, engaging in deeper and broader conversations! Mr. Ma also flexibly adjusted the itinerary based on the children's fatigue levels, allowing breaks and making adjustments as needed, ensuring we gained a lot without becoming exhausted. He enabled the children to acquire a wealth of knowledge very efficiently! Finally, unlike many private guides who semi-force guests to leave positive reviews on their phones at the end of the tour, Mr. Ma didn't do that. The entire experience was very refreshing and provided a great experience! Thank you, Mr. Ma!
Reviews: Full-Day Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with 5 Hours at the Site (ENG/ESP/RUS Guided Bus)

The Great Wall of China tour was superbly organized. We'd originally planned to take a tour bus from Qianmen Square to arrive early. But luckily, we saw this offer on trip.com and it was a great choice. Our guide, Maxim, gave us a fascinating insight into the history of the Wall, the history of China, and even life in China. It was incredibly interesting, and the trip flew by. Upon arrival, they explained everything in detail. They treated us like valued guests and provided everything we needed to visit the Wall and relax in comfortable surroundings before returning to Beijing. I definitely recommend using this company's services. I'm sure you won't regret it. A huge thank you to Maxim and Oleg for ensuring our experience at the Wall was a positive one, and for making sure we return to do what we haven't yet had the chance to do. (But it's our own fault; you need to stay in shape.) We hope our review helps future travelers.

Tour guide Lisa was great to guide us to the forbidden city. We learned a lot of the history of it and she was very friendly and professional.

I was considering whether to visit the City myself or with a group, and I am happy I chose the latter! The tour was simply amazing, I definitely recommend booking it. There are three factors contributing to this. First, the groups are quite small, making for a more streamlined visit. Second, the ease of an organised event - not having to worry about tickets, where to go,... Finally, and most importantly, an incredible guide: Vanessa. Apparently, Vanessa has been a guide since 2011. This shows in the expertise of her guiding. Not only is her tour structured and well paced, she pays attention to small details as well. She is regularly counting to make sure no one is missing, even while explaining. I asked a question about heating and she made a small detour a dozen minutes later to show a heating entry. Despite coming to the end of the program, she stayed to show some extra elements. And the list goes on. If you can choose your guide, choose Vanessa!
Reviews: Gubei Water Town Day Trip - & Optional Night Tour of Simatai Great Wall & Optional Lunch

Wonderful tour! They took us to the site, fed us, showed us the way to the wall, and gave us tons of free time to explore the wall, along the wall, and around the city. The guide was always available and ready to help. Thank you, Lucy! Honestly, it's better to take a daytime hike to the wall, because after 5:30 PM you'll feel like you won't have time to get back to the bus. The definite advantage of Symytai is that there are relatively few tourists, so you can spend five minutes alone on the wall and generally walk around the gubeya alone.
