In the memories of a journey, scenery is certainly important, but what truly lingers is often the encounter with people. On this trip, I was fortunate to meet Mr. Chen, a guide from Ctrip's own agency. More than just a tour guide, he was someone who crafted the journey into a work of art. He didn't just show us what it was like; he subtly guided us to understand. Throughout the trip, Mr. Chen's explanations went beyond the surface. His eloquent narration of history and meticulous descriptions of local customs imbued the otherwise static tourist attractions with warmth and stories. Those seemingly ordinary streets and landscapes gained a layer of historical depth and humanistic significance through his narration. Even more remarkable was his sense of proportion. He was neither overly intrusive nor lacking in concern. He perfectly controlled the pace of the itinerary: relaxed when necessary, efficient when needed. Whether it was unexpected minor issues or the special needs of individual tourists, he handled them calmly, inspiring confidence and trust. This is precisely the true meaning of "quality tourism"—it's not just about good accommodations, good food, and a smooth itinerary; it's about experiencing respect, care, and attentive treatment. And Guide Chen is the most concrete and vivid embodiment of this experience. The value of Ctrip's self-operated services becomes clear and tangible at this moment. The overall experience was amazing. Linda provided many interesting facts about China history in general and the Great Wall in particular. She also gave good insights of local shopping in Beijing and dropped us at the Pearl Market, which proved to be a great place to be in. Thanks

I'd like to share my experience. It's warm on the wall on January 8th. The temperature is just above freezing. Those accustomed to Far Eastern and Siberian winters with temperatures of -20-30 degrees Celsius will find it very comfortable. We haven't tried the green route. It's shorter (1.5 hours) and easier. We climbed the red route (2.5 hours) from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, taking 40 minutes each way. From 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, it's a stroll. From 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, it's a dash up steep steps. The steps are of varying sizes. Watch your step. Wear light shoes. And don't dress too warmly. A wet back, and maybe even something else, will ruin the experience. It's better to dress lightly and sportily, and pack some extra gear in case the wind picks up.

I had a fulfilling and enjoyable trip, and I must commend our tour guide, Ding Feipeng. He was incredibly professional, attentive, and responsible. Most importantly, his cultural knowledge was exceptional; he could effortlessly rattle off various poems and historical anecdotes. I was particularly impressed by his knowledge of the murals in the Long Corridor of the Summer Palace. Having such a good tour guide, especially when visiting cultural sites, is incredibly fortunate. Thank you, Tour Guide Ding, for teaching me so much. Highly recommended!

I was extremely satisfied with this trip to Beijing and must give tour guide Li Huixing a five-star rating! Her service was exceptional; she was warm, patient, meticulous, and attentive. Her explanations were professional and engaging, and she took care of everyone's comfort throughout the trip. The itinerary was well-planned and comfortable, a truly pure sightseeing experience with no shopping stops, no hidden fees, and no forced activities, allowing us to relax and have a worry-free trip. Overall, it was a fantastic and very pleasant trip, highly recommended!
