I booked the 1.30pm whale watching. It was so easy to book online and it was cheaper booking through Trip. com than booking direct to the company. I made sure we took motion sickness tablets in case the water was rough. But lucky it was a beautiful, sunny day. The ocean was very calm. It was not too windy. We saw more than 6 whales swimming close together and many dolphins swimming close to the boat. The boat hovered near the whales for 30 minutes. The entire trip took approximately 2.5 hours. It was an amazing experience.★

Exchange your tickets in advance and queue at the pier when it's almost time. Seating arrangements are pre-assigned; someone will guide you inside.
A menu is available, and plain water is provided, but soft drinks are not included and must be ordered separately.
The view from the outer deck is excellent, offering a 360-degree view of the opera house.★

Port Stephens had an amazing boat trip! We saw dolphins and whales, and the sandboarding was incredibly thrilling. It was great value for money!
