Meet at meeting point: Without a 4x4: From the Arusha-Moshi highway, you will turn up a paved road at Kilala - look for signs for Two Mountain Lodge and Kahawa. Go to the end of the paved road, then turn right at Nkoaranga Hospital. We will harvest fresh red coffee beans from bushes planted in the rich volcanic soil in the foothills of Mt. Meru, process them together using traditional methods, and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee at the end of your efforts! You'll also learn about the Meru traditions around coffee, and how it became a staple crop in the region. 2 hr(s)
