This tour was more than we expected and a wholesome day out. Enock, our guide, was so caring and attentive, we fell in love with his easy-going, friendly nature. The waterfall hike was a beautiful way to start the day, then stopping on the way back to have the most engaging coffee experience with the boys at Materuni Village Coffee Hut. We learnt so much about the coffee bean process and had so much fun along the way, and had the BEST lunch we've had the whole trip! The boys there made us feel like family and I hope i can see them again some day. From there we had an 'African massage' as we drove through the villages out to the most beautiful, blue, hot spring I've ever seen. Kikuletwa Hot Springs are a serene, charming and refreshing oasis; perfect way to cool off and wrap up a fantastic day. Enock was the perfect host and we already miss him!

The park is home to many giraffes, zebras, and warthogs. The lake is home to numerous flamingos and other water birds. Because there is a lot of forest and often very dense undergrowth, animals were not as easy to spot as in more open terrain. Those with prior safari experience will likely not see any new highlights here. However, elephants and leopards are present, so this should be expected. It is, however, a beautiful and varied tour. For safari novices, this is a great introduction before usually heading to Tarangire and Ngorongoro.
