The tour includes an entrance ticket to the Forbidden City and the Treasure Museum. Your ticket is tied to your passport! Don't forget it. There were 10 of us in our group. Entry through the main southern gate was quick. Pick up your bag for the morning after 9 a.m. The tour lasts about 4 hours. The grounds are so vast that you won't be able to see everything. We visited all the main halls and the gates leading to them, the chambers of Empress Dowager Cixi, the Treasure Museum, and exited through the North Gate. Unfortunately, no one is allowed inside the halls, and it's difficult to see much through the half-open doors and dirty glass. The Treasure Museum was incredibly crowded, so we couldn't get a good look. Chinese New Year was probably a factor. The tour was well organized. Our guide, Alina, was very responsive and helped us not only with the tour but also with other pressing questions. However, I personally missed more detailed historical facts (which is why I took the tour, as audio guides often fail during independent exploration).

It was such a lucky coincidence to meet Liu Jiaxin, the top-rated tour guide the scholar had mentioned! This brand is truly trustworthy. The guide was also incredibly dedicated and responsible. He arranged our palace tour a day in advance, and most importantly, "Knowledge changes destiny" was our central theme for the day—it was so crucial! He recited the motto, "To establish a heart for heaven and earth, to establish a destiny for the people, to continue the lost learning of the past sages, and to usher in an era of peace for all generations." Furthermore, he used simple and easy-to-understand language to make the Ming and Qing dynasty palaces sound like a story, which we found very easy to comprehend. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. Highly recommend him to my friends! [Sun][Sun][Sun]

Guide Wang's explanations of the Forbidden City are incredibly professional! He effortlessly connects the historical context of the Ming and Qing dynasties with the architectural regulations of the palaces, providing detailed and thorough explanations of everything from mortise and tenon joinery to court anecdotes. His presentations are engaging and insightful, avoiding rote memorization. The itinerary is well-planned, avoiding crowds and allowing you to discover lesser-known facts. He patiently answers questions throughout, maintaining a perfect pace. Following him on a tour of the Forbidden City not only lets you see the sights but also deepens your understanding of the cultural heritage behind them – a truly enriching experience!
